Hah, I just looked this up after reading his post. At least in NYC, it is illegal to grow poison ivy on any property. I don't know how common that legislation is, but it is at least a thing.

Yep, what I have been saying. And for the sake of more discussion------You'll see the same costs and burdens on Medicare/Medicaid as for tobacco smokers. Further, the dope smokers don't smoke filtered smoke - they want all that nasty stuff in their smoke.

The interesting thing will be seeing how many employers set up their own screening to eliminate the dope smokers from the employment pool. This is already the case in law enforcement, health care, safety-oriented fields (eg, CDL drivers), etc.

There's only so many jobs at the local Starbucks...

Under what rationale do we make a fucking plant illegal?

It is a plant. It grows in the ground and it makes flowers that smell nice.

What is wrong with the brains of people that want to make nature illegal?

Plants are made illegal to protect crops, livestock, and in some cases people. You sound like you want to fight. I have not made my opinion on whether I am for or against legalization public on this forum. You a like a red ass who refuses to hear rational informed discussion.

WTF is this? None of those plants are smoked for expansion of consciousness you fucking moron.

Wait, did I type that out loud?

Well if I did, apologies Mr. Ed.

No, Fuck you moron.  That was a response to a broad based comment that laws make plants illegal--dipshit.

Of course.  What do you have against plants?

wrt poppies and coca I think that you have a problem the the post processing and not the plant itself. I don't think that the post processing should be illegal either. I like cooked spinach and don't have a particular fondness for raw.  Asparagus makes my pee pee stink which I find more offensive than most other plants.

Lets plant poison ivy, poison oak, bullnettle, nightshade, and hemlock in ever street, flower pot and backyard. Noxious plants are controlled by law all over the world.

  5. Public schools no matter what State in the Union are under federal law to provide for special needs students. Private school is just that--private. Public schools have to arrange an I.E.P. for each special needs student. The more progressive districts are easier for parents to work with. The rural districts sometimes have to have the gloves threw down.

Why not just pass a simple, clean bill (like what passed in Oklahoma etc.)?

You’re never going to get bipartisan support when you start adding a bunch of federal social justice and reparation requirements. Let cities and states vote on that if they want it once it’s legalized.

Hardy, Har, Har..          Clean and simple bill like Oklahoma?    Lol fukin L. This State is so fuked with the law that was passed. Rushed through without much thought. The Pubs done it, they hold the majority in the Legislature and would receive no input from the Dems. As the law is it is wide open Dodge City. Daily take downs of illegal grow operations manned by either human slave Mexicans or Southeast Asians. Rural water and electric beyond overstretched and Rural Oklahoma is in revolt mindset. Current Legislation is trying to fix some of the problems but by the way the law was wrote only State voter repeal or Constitutional convention can change the law. Neither in which will happen.

Oklahoma, simple?  Don't fukin look to us unless you mean simple minded.

and once they hit 10 that anesthesia can be worse and worse on them.

I might honestly consider not repairing it.

This right here^^         Older dogs just don't do well with going under.    Me being me and doing all my own doctoring I'd try DMSO and Banamine, along with Dex if there is swelling and tenderness. Vet wrap with liniment and try to let him rest. If no response, then maybe the knife. Glucosamine additives help on older dogs also but a lot of that depends on the kind of groceries the dog is consuming.

Have you tried this? Scarecrows made from 2 x 4-inch (5 x 10-cm) lumber and chicken wire (Fig. 4) and dressed in pants or skirts, shirts, and hats, may keep eagles away from an area for up to 3 weeks. The chicken wire bodies allow the arms to wave in the wind. Maybe pee on them to get your human scent in the wind. Hopefully, these eagles are afraid of people like normal. And now your big dogs too!

They just sit in the trees and laff at the scarecrows. Scarecrows rate of success on predatory avians  ain't all that good, but it is a standard suggestion by A.P.H.I.S. and Fish and Game. Easy way out for them and they don't have to leave the office where the hot coffee and tetris game is.  Every U.S.D.A. research station in the Southwest will tell you that the scarecrows are not effective.

I thought balds were fishing eagles but I guess they'll go for whatever they can get. Anyway you can get the newborns and moms in a structure so the eagles can't get them? Like a barn? Fuckin raptors are smart and relentless. Good luck.

They are creatures of opportunity. Bastards eat anything that they can get. National Refuge is ten miles South of me and I'd imagine that is where they are coming from. Have confirmed three different ones here but I think there is four Balds. Showing not much fear out all is what makes me think refuge raised because they interact closely with their hatch by providing sippy cups and diddies.

Trapped and moved a pair of my bear fighters/ cat LGD's Saturday instead of watching the Horn ass kicking. Sunday they got one of the bastards down and mauled the living piss out of it afore it could take wing. Lot of feathers and blood splash and left out wobbly as hell. Don't know about that bird and don't give one damn. Between Mexican Blackhead Vultures (Coragyps atratus), American Bald Eagle, and Golden Eagle the fukers have cost me around $160,000, an arrest and defense, and a character assassination. I have no fuks left to give.

Barns, you say? What is this type of building in which you speak? I'm range sheep and have 800 ewes.

    Burning calf rope?

is this some redneck reference to marijuana smoking ?

Is it wrong to be a redneck?

And yes, before, poly and nylon, rope used to be made of grass----hemp, ditch weed.

  12. This dog tried to be awesome. I raise sheep and American Bald Eagles have set in and are preying on newborn lambs. Tuesday morning the dog tried to rescue a baby that an Eagle attacked, killed, and carried away. The Eagle fought the dog and Autie (that's his name) got lacerated a bit. All this happened 15 yards behind the house.

Autie---he's a tad bit wild, so had to kind of trap him in a 36 foot goose to doctor on him.

    Anyhow--Good Boy! Autie

  13. Some like a leather sole on a boot. I don't, leather is slick as snot on pavement or concrete until you get them scuffed. I always go back with vibram when I get a pair half-soled. The last thing I want is to grab a pair of leather soled boots while I'm bailing out a window making my escape.

Ive had a different encounter with them maybe 20 years ago swimming in Caddo Lake.  Bunch of friends swimming on the shore and somebody spotted one headed right towards us in the water.  We all jumped in the boat and he got hit with a boat paddle.  Maybe we were banked up near his nesting spot, no idea.

Maybe them Austin snakes are a little more civilized than country snakes. Cottonmouths here are bitey, just have to be aware when you are in their territory. I'm on a plateau where you never see a cottonmouth unless its by total accident. 8 mile south of me on the river they are thick and they all seem to be ill mannered. The largest cottonmouth I ever saw was at the Fort Worth zoo. Head the size of a big mans fist. Sr. trip---years ago. We got to go to six flags and the zoo. First time I ever saw a live concert. Charlie Daniels in the Six Flags amphitheater. Most there were rednecks like us but a few were burning calf rope.

The main thing holding me back is both pups remaining are males, and I've always had better luck with females in the intelligence department.  So what say ye?

Every kid needs a dog and every dog needs a kid.  I'm old skool in my raising and the area where I reside is comparable to deep East Texas in dialect and train of thought. That being said we call male dogs---a dog pup or dog if mature. Females are called a gyp. I have had a lot of dogs in the past and have a ton now (20). I have both dogs and gyps outside. In the house it is all gyps, for a reason. I have never noticed any difference in overall intelligence between dogs and gyps. Dogs will be more hard headed than gyps and that is a fact. Its the boy in them that makes them that way. Same as difference between girl students and boy students. The boys are gonna be a little hard headed and the girls are going to be easier to correct and a little more eager to learn.

But----why not both? Every dog deserves a good home and that dog getting a home will pay it back tenfold with devotion.

And for damn good reason. Evil tempered bitches. They get big here. Had a ten inch one get in the house and it reared up and wanted to fight. All the bigger ones I have come across have been flat mean.

most weren't lucky enough to be relocated.

And a good damn deal. The sneakiest, low life, try to bite you bastards in the snake world. Fukers will lay perfect still in camo not making a move to lure your ass in and bite you. For those that say they are harmless, have a three foot one strike at your face, miss- and was striking so hard when he/she hit the brim of your hat they knocked it off your head. I cannot abide a copperhead.

Good snakes get a chance here, bad snakes (poison) do not.

Relocating a good one out of a tool shed.

Yeah that clip of the guy shooting a bunch of different guns looks bad. Good enough for a lot of people, I guess, but creative types tend to be picky.

How did it look that bad?  Serious question? The action of the bolt, the spent cartridge ejection, and the muzzle flash of what looked like an MP5 and an ACR looked good to me, but I only saw the GIF here and did not slow it down.
