  1. Bumping this up.  I started a company down in Medellin, visited for the first time back in November and headed there again soon.

People are amazing, as everyone here has said.  Food was decent.  Only got to spend 3 nights there - next trip is for a week.  I'll be heading there about 3-4 times a year, and am planning (eventually) to see San Andres (everyone there told me that's the best beach area).  Bogota - most say to skip it.  They all like Medellin better, lol.

  2. The problem? His personal success off the field had nothing to do with his success on the field. He was the anointed savior before he even threw a pass in an actual college game.

When you shower some guys with all that right out of the gate, then they lose all their drive. Some are just driven.  Bijan is just driven. He has nothing left to gain off the field but he goes out there and plays like the best player in the nation.

I haven’t seen any drive out of Quinn. All I’ve seen is a dude with raw talent that just shows up. He’s Baker Mayfield without the chip on his shoulder. Someone needs to piss in Quinn’s cheerios just to see if he gives a shit.
Agree. Lack of character too. Dude quit on his high school senior class to make sure he didn't risk injury. Worse than Randall "Pink" Floyd, at least Pink decided to play.

The fucking hype on this Hirsch was right.
This is damn good. Should have bought more than one when it was available
Yeah I cracked mine the day I got it. Went back the next morning and got 2 more. Incredible nose, and just has a funk to it that I really like.
  4. That's hilarious but I think the whole case hinges on what led up to rosenbaum (1st victim/attacker) getting shot. From what I understand this is also where we have the least video evidence..?

Here's some video footage of Rosenbaum chasing after Kyle Rittenhouse. Shows the exact moment when Kyle turns and fires.

  5. We watched about 7 of them while sitting in his blind one night, through the thermal. Big bastards looked like year old bear cubs. He was there last weekend and he estimated there was 300 lbs. souring on the ground under the feeder. Our feeder is going to be on that bluff on the river (posted picture), so we will have more coons for sure.
    CHIEF
We just timed protein feeders for this reason. If the coons roll in, you don't lose much.
  6. Well, my hunting buddy and I were drawn for rifle elk tags this fall in a unit close to Pagosa Springs. We’ve hunted this area before and it kicked my butt. (7500-9000 ft.) I’m not in great shape, so I’m going to be working on that. Gear wise, I need new mountain boots (thinking Schee’s, Kenetrek, Meindl, etc.); new pack (maybe Kifaru or Erbelstock, etc.); and some new technical clothes (Sitka or first lite).

Also considering changing up my my rifle setup. This hunting area would be average shots of 100-300yards with long shot opportunities up to 700 yards. I have a range setup at my folks ranch of 650 yards, so I’d like to get proficient to that range. I’m thinking of staying with 300 Weatherby, with heavy bullets (preferably Nosler Long Range Accubonds if available sometime soon, maybe ELD-X or Barnes LRX if not). I’m thinking about a Weatherby Mark V Accumark for the rifle (not super light, but better accuracy and shootability (lower recoil) than super lightweight rifles). Also thinking about changing from my Swarovski Z6i to a Sig Sierra 6 scope to sync with my Sig Binos for easier ballistic calcs. Lots of decisions to make. Pretty sexy rifle though. I was able to put my hands on one at McBrides and I really like it over the competitors (Christiansen, Fierce, Browning, Nosler).

Pro tip: get the contact info for 1 or 2 pack out outfits in the area. If you down an elk in tough terrain, it will be worth every cent to pay someone to retrieve it. Cost is usually $1000 or so. Plus you don't waste a day on pack out, which is critical because you or your partner will want to keep on hunting.

  7. Old Rip is hilarious. It's not Pappy, yet gets treated like that on secondary.

Still I would grab it and sell it. Can turn it into multiple SJRs or whatever you like.

  8. I hear you on the camo. But as a bow hunter, it does matter because you are getting (sometimes) within 10 or 15 feet from the deer. Obviously, elevating up 12 to 15 feet helps.

I use an ASAT leafy suit that really works well. I have sat in the open near a trail with that suit on, and had deer pass within 10 yards of me without noticing.

  9. Yeah, it was a great documentary. We all knew pharma was evil, but this really exposed them.

The politicians on both sides of the aisle are all in bed with big pharma.

So now translate this corruption to the pushing of the COVID vaccines. Same thing. I'm sure bribes are being thrown around left and right to doctors and politicians.

  10. Constitutional Carry just passed by the Texas Senate 18-13.
Back to the House for concurrence, then to Abbott’s desk.
Awesome, about time! It's kind of a mixed feeling that we need to pass a law to reinforce a God-given right that the US Constitution already articulates.
