I wish I could use this board to reply to specific individuals. Sorry and bear with me. Is there a help area for poor brainless LSU partisans?
Thanks.

Honest Question: Who has the advantage as it relates to preparation for this game?
Your defensive coordinators/analysts/consultants have spent hours combing over 2018 LSU film all spring and summer; scouting offensive alignments, personnel, tendencies, maybe they even looked at some Saints/Penn State film.
Now Texas' defensive coordinators/analysts/consultants have to prepare for a whole new offense in 5 days off of 1 game tape; get familiar with match-ups and personnel groupings and alignments, can't really trust the tendencies off of 1 game tape. On top of that Texas is still breaking in 8 new starters on defense; will your LBs and CBs trust their reads?
On the flip side:
LSU's 2-year book on Herman and Ehlinger is still intact.

There are bad takes and then there's this. Texas has spent the last two decades going up against spread offenses developed by some of the most innovative offensive coaches of this century. To say that LSU has developed such a confounding offense in one offseason that UT coaches are completely lost going up against it is dumb.

Sam also missed a lot of the ISU game, but made up for it with the Big 12 CG. They both played around 13 complete games worth of snaps.

EDIT- never mind it’s already been discussed.
Thanks for the clarification. Forgive me for not remembering A&M didn't come close to their conference championship. Either way, the difference in RB usage at each school is minimal.

So basically... the team from the "line of scrimmage league" didn't run the ball as often as the team from the "7 on 7 league". I guess that's why they have taken so many wide receivers, huh?
They take so many WRs yet Sam attempted 10 more passes than Mond (that even takes into account the fact that Sam basically missed the entire Baylor game and Mond went to 7OT against LSU). Discounting receptions by all other positions except WR (so Sternberger's 48 catches aren't included), A&M WRs had 163 total catches. Removing all non-WR catches for UT (so no Beck and his 28 receptions), UT WRs had 222 receptions. So, all of those WR recruits for Jimbo will be fighting for scraps.
To add to the RB usage issue, Williams had 27 receptions and Corbin had 10. Ingram had 27 and Watson had 22. So, not only do UT RBs run the ball more, they also get more receptions than A&M RBs. UT WRs and RBs get more touches than A&M WRs and RBs. This is most likely a result of Jimbo running an offense that was outdated by the time the Rams were running the greatest show on turf.

The whole "Sam runs it more than the RB" argument from A&M is bullshit.

Sam had 164 rushing attempts last year. Mond had 149. That's a difference of a little over one rushing attempt per game.
Trayveon Williams had 271 rushing attempts. Corbin and Etwi had 81 combined attempts. That's 352 attempts by the top three A&M RBs.
Watson had 185 attempts. Ingram had 142 and Young had 42. That's 369 carries for the top three RBs at UT.
So, while Sam ran the ball one more time per game than Mond, UT RBs ran the ball one more time per game than A&M RBs.

Since 1998 They've got a Heisman which netted them a pre-CFB Playoff Cotton Bowl win which is probably their biggest bowl win this century.
Thank goodness for them that they lead the nation in quality losses.

They would engulf themselves in a jort infested spare tire fueled orgy if Herman decided to become the head coach at tOSU.
I can't tell if that is something they would do because they're angry or happy. Being Ohio, I feel like the answer is both.

LSU @ Texas Analysis: LSU Offense

2002 is actually the year most LSU fans believe we're in, having all just recently discovered the spread offense.
