    I could argue with it.

Hurts will mark the 5th year in a row that the Sooners are starting a xfer QB.

Riley didn't recruit any of those QBs out of high school, in fact he hasn't had a QB that he recruited start a single game for him at OU (as OC or HC). Hell, Holgorson is the person that identified Carden as a capable QB and talked McNeil into looking at him at ECU. It's easy AF to sell Kingsbury as the man behind identifying both Murray and Mayfield (despite how he handled them, etc). Riley taking on Hurts instead of a QB he has identified and groomed (Austin Kendall) further exacerbates the feeling that he is piggybacking off of other people's work. I'm not saying Riley isn't a good offensive coach or QB coach but I could argue with his impact on the 2 first rounders esp. with the taking of Hurts vs. Kendall (as well as Mordecai and Rattler). You could also point out that Riley was being a fucking bitch cunt trying to block Kendall's transfer to WVU until the whole world shat on him and forced his hypocrite ass to give in.

    Fuck OU.

So he took two guys that were nothing special at their previous stops and turned them into Heisman winners and the #1 picks in the NFL, but you can make the argument about his impact on these guys?

Can someone explain to me what Dallas is thinking? the second round prob will start, the third and fourth round picks are backups and do not start, I do not get it, plus all the picks are reaches.

I don't think I would call them reaches. They are have gone about where they were projected. Except Dallas took the 3rd rounder becayse they had a 2nd round grade on him. Maybe Pollard

It was just reported on a pay board the other day that was going to NEO. I would assume this summer.

Of course, this is the kid that didn't know he had to have the Compliance office enter his name in the system. He thought if he just declared that he would show up in the Portal. Very Michael Scott of him

What is the Tom Herman curse?

I do think LR is out there getting talent.  And if you think Stoops wasn’t on the exact same path as Mack, you’re kidding yourself.  He was fat and happy.

I  agree with you there. Bob had very little desire to recruit in today's game.I think that is why he stepped away. He loves coaching football, but not the other requirements and especially the recruiting

Oklahoma has many things going for it, but the sheer lack of numbers in the HS ranks in the home state makes it a job that requires effort. You need an energetic young coach like a LR. Or a young Bobby.

The reason he had so much pressure to recruit in the first place is bc Stoops was above hitting the road and doing any work himself.  Bobby was the fucking problem, but good to see him scapegoating guys worked on the gullible set...

    Seriously?

He was the WR receiver coach. It was his job to identify and recruit that talent. He wasn't good at it.

Most of his recruits never made past the 1st year. Fir instance, his 2013 class - Dannon Cavil, KJ Young, Austin Bennett and Jordon Smallwood. Quite a group. 3 guys who never played a down and one that was a blocking WR. That was par for the course WR recruiting under him

I'm not sure why you think it's the head coaches job to hit the road to find talent. You think Saban, Dabo, or Herman are out on Friday nights weeding out the talent?

Nobody said Stoops scapegoated Norvell. The Rivals guys mentioned it on a podcast 7 years later. I'm sure that info did come from BS.

They were just discussing how the WR talent has risen at OU since Dennis Simmons was brought on board

Yes, he was mainly responsible for the upset win over BlowU in 2015.

ChinVisor had pushed him out after 7 years after the 2014 season and he came directly to us as a wide receiver's coach.

After Coach Potato saw that Shawn Watson was a cast extra for the Walking Dead after the Notre Dame debacle, Norvell was given play calling duties.

As the BlowU game unfolded, you could tell that Norvell knew all of the BlowU defensive tendencies and adjusted the play calling accordingly.

Funny this is brought up. The Rivals guys on their podcast this week were reliving about how poor recruiting was under Norvell

The guy was horror show of big stiff kids.

His best player was Sterling Shepard. A player Norvell didn't think he was good enough for an offer. Luckily, Stoops overruled him.

That said, seems like a really good guy.

Yeah so that's completely false.  You might educate yourself on what one former NFL GM (Casserly) had to say about his leadership and study habits before chiming in again:

You're seriously going to throw out Charlie Casserly? You might educate yourself on that.

He got blasted for those remarks and he backpedaled so fast that week he probably pulled a hamstring

NFL teams are worried that KM has the lowest and shortest throwing radius of any QB in NFL history.

Now that is a legitimate concern. I personally wouldn't take him #1. Not so much because of height, but there are safer picks at the top of round 1. You can't afford to miss at the top of round 1. That is a job loser

It's astonishing to me that people don't think of the NFL as similar to any other professional environment. Someone who has shown a pattern of low character rightfully carries the weight of that perception until it's corrected through ACTIONS. Murray's attitude and character are under fire because they SHOULD be - at least until he shows otherwise.

So you believe that the NFL teams are worried that KM wasn't nice to Sam and he was pissy during the post game press conference?

The truth his attitude & character aren't under fire anywhere but here.

Still holding out hope that Tatum picks us again.

I honestly don't think Herman would be interested.

Word from the insiders is that he is pretty lazy and not sure how much he even likes football.

During the season, a seeming reliable poster on a pay board put up that one of the older players accused Tatum of hiding out on the sideline so he wouldn't be put in during a blowout.

I don't think you will ever hear from Tatum again

  11. Even as not a UT fan, I'll say its it unfair to judge a player Sam in game like this. It's not his game. These are basically 7 on 7 for QBs

He his like a Tebow. He needs contact to get his game going. He knows he can't take off and run over somebody because it's his team. He is seems like a player that gets better once there has been some contact

Sam is not someone you would pick for a 7 vs 7 passing game. But 3rd & 5, in real game, he is probably going to find a way  to get it.

Not to mention the defense knows what they are going to do and knows every receiver's strengths & weaknesses

I've had drinks with Barry through a mutual business partner. I can attest that he gets drunk as shit and is charming as hell. He asked where I went to school and I told him OSU. He looked me real serious and said "Well I'm sorry to hear that son" then did a signature belly laugh. Told me a story that he tells at most public appearances these days that Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas are the two best players he's ever seen and he took pride that they never beat him in college, but then says his first game as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys was against the Lions and Barry Sanders went for 200+ and beat him finally. Also has some good stories about Barry Sanders' dad Willie who was a high school coach I think. He also let me wear his super bowl ring, which was awesome since I'm a Dallas fan.

None of this is to say he's not a terrible person. He was a big time cheater in college, obviously, and doesn't give two shits about his kids unless they helped him win.  At 80 years old he was trying  to horndog around because we were in a different city and he left his wife at home. He loves people asking for his picture, but mostly when it's a female. He would have been torched by #metoo if he wasn't past his prime. It's possible to be a great person to talk to and charming as hell and also a terrible person. That's exactly who he is

That would be the only part I would strongly disagree with. Barry has his flaws but discarding kids and former players is not one of them. Not just the former stars either. He will help anybody that asks

Unrelated, but Barry's big passion now is animal rescue & search & rescue dogs. Him and his wife opened a search & rescue training facility west of Norman

Soooo, appraisal just came in. Realtor called my wife and is shocked. Way under where she thought it would be and our contract.

She said the comps are crazy and make no sense (there aren’t any good comps in our hood because most houses sell without going on MLS). She also said it’s so hard to appraise our hood because they don’t know the value of the demand. He priced our house under what most other houses sold for recently. She said her buyers are devastated because they know we aren’t going to take it.

I spoke with her and we’re exploring another option.

It’s crazy and makes no sense. He used houses that are in different neighborhoods and different school districts (worse). No one wants to live there!

Then have the Realtor pulls some comps  that support the value and submit to the lender and ask for a reconsideration of value. But there has be supporting evidence provided

"there aren't any good comps" won't get you very far. If there are sales in the neighborhood to use, they usually have to be utilized. If there truly is not anything comparable, find some in similar nearby neighborhoods (age, school district, etc) that would be considered as competing properties to yours (sg ft, age etc).

As Gil Bang pointed out, that FHA appraisal will remain with the property for 120 days

Murray has both ability and severe physical limitations.  #1 overall seems patently insane with all the question marks surrounding his size and his character.  But we all expect stupid from Arizona.

Severe? His only knock is that's he 5'10. His only character flaw is that is being cocky.

From all indications the NFL has decided those aren't issues

I’m almost through s2 on a rewatch. The only noticeable flaw  is some of the acting.  It’s all fat guys, too. Bobby, Big Pussy, and the FBI agent who meets with Pussy.  They’re kinda cringey. Bobby’s kind of endearing though.

Listened to podcast on the show where they discussed this very thing. Most guys were cast based on look rather than acting ability.

They also noted that Steve Schirripa (Bobby) really improved over the course of the series

  16. Watching the side by side comparisons of the Live Aid performance, it really comes across that the guys are just actors playing musicians. Remi Malek also came across as a straight guy trying to be gay. While he mimicked FM's moves, you could tell they weren't natural and much more exaggerated. The actual band had much better stage presence, which is be expected.

In the movie, the rest of the band is taking cues and watching FM's every move. When you watch the actual performance, they are musicians doing their own thing

Everyone knows he didn’t run because of the fat he put on for the weigh in and was afraid it would show up in his 40 time. And we also knew he wouldn’t let them measure him again either.

Well no one seemed to concerned about that on the ESPN or The NFL Network coverage.

He is short. He is fast. The teams interested in him didn't come Norman to verify that. They came to watch him throw
