Ok, against my better judgement, and a little afraid of actually meeting any of you assholes in real life, I’m going to put this out there.

Im supposed to be doing a couple hundred miles of the PCT in the Sierra this summer, but my hiking partner may be bailing on me for the 2nd year in a row. It’s damn hard to find people that are into backpacking like I am and are willing to take a couple of weeks off and go deep into the back country.  Going solo is not a good idea with river crossings.

So I’m probably going to push it another year to next summer and if anyone here is interested in joining, let me know.  You’ve got a year to get in shape and gather any gear you need. Happy to meet up and do some training hikes and whatnot.  I’m in Austin.

If you can't find anyone I think you should go for it anyway. There's a good chance you'd meet folks along the way you could hike with.

Kangaroos. Went there my freshman year. Back in the 80s when the drinking age was 18. There was an on-campus pub that served Foster’s.

Same for me. Remember having to buy memberships to drink at local bars because Grayson County was dry.

Coursework?  Yes.  But my grad research and subsequent career path was in structural FEA and electromechanics.  I have finally come full circle and I'm now designing loudspeakers, which is what I wanted to do in the first place.

My memory was that $60 was sort of the breaking point for smaller independents for additional exploration. But wasn't sure if advances in Technology might have pushed that number lower?

I just remember meeting a lot of folks in Corpus when I was remodeling a foreclosure we bought.  I was just wondering if all the production folks down there were going to be able to keep their jobs or not at $60 a barrel?  None of those guys working on/off shifts seemed to save much if any of their money.  But they had a good time on their time off!

I'll wait and let that ETF build up some history to review.  Being down -4% while Berkshire is up +7% in the same timeframe doesn't make me want to invest early on.

I 100% believe yours was the better purchase, I just couldn't help myself from buying the etf.
