  1. A story with a good reminder

I don’t want to talk about this, but considering current events, I’ll share something I saw in 2006 in Iraq. Understand that I hate discussing this. Not a single day goes by that I don’t think about it. One night our PL walks in the enlisted tent inside BIAP around 2300 and asks for volunteers. Being the crazy bastard I am, I immediately got up and began to put my armor on without saying a word. I grabbed the M249, a few extra belts, and some extra hand grenades and followed the LT to the motor pool where our M113 was waiting. We performed all our radio checks, fueled up, called in to HQ, and left the front gate. It was dark. Really dark. The air had an awful stench of burning trash and the water in the canals smelled of feces. A dead dog laid on the side of the road under a dimly lit street light outside the gate. It was very quiet. Like the world was dead. Perhaps it was in that moment. We proceeded to our objective. A small home with a humble adobe brick wall outside its perimeter with some very dim lights barely lighting up the courtyard. Out came a middle aged man, carrying a little girl who was screaming bloody murder. We brought her in the M113 where our medic immediately began to stabilize the wound on her right hand. Two of her fingers were missing just above the knuckle. She calmed down considerably once our medics took possession of her. We proceeded to take her back to BIAP to receiver proper treatment with the father riding along with us. I was pulling security with the M249 but I would occasionally glance back at the little girl who had a look of sorrow and desperation on her face. It felt routine but in some ways something wasn’t right. The following day, about a dozen 60mm mortars landed very close to our tents. Luckily nobody was hurt. We later learned that the father purposely cut his daughter’s fingers off so he could gain access to the FOB and collect intelligence. Not a single day goes by that I don’t see that little girls face. Not a day goes by that I don’t realize what that look was on the ride back. Not a single day goes by that I don’t wonder if she is still alive. Point is…never underestimate the lengths your enemy is willing to go to in order to destroy you. Never forget the innocents who are caught in the middle.

Am I the only one who thought your PL was going to have you help him load the dead dog and throw it into the adobe house later finding out said PL was Jewish? Glad I read all of it, war is truly hell on earth.

  2. I was in Bozeman last May with my wife for a long weekend. It was awesome. One day, we went hiking towards some local waterfall and my wife decided that tennis shoes without socks made a lot of sense. We got caught in a snow storm about halfway up and she damned near got frostbite. I had to carry her in some spots where it was too icy for her fucking tennis shoes, but, hey, she got to see her waterfall and secretly force me to workout.
We are up near the top of the trail by the waterfall and it's snowing kind of hard and through the forest, I see something large moving between the trees in our direction. I had a split second to grab the bear spray or simply throw my wife in front of me and take off. For some reason, I grabbed the spray.
Half-jogging, half-sprinting out of the woods is some fucking special ops nature boy. Manbun, chiseled, wearing a backpack that probably weighed 50 pounds, wearing a fleece, shorts and hiking boots, this fucking lunatic stops to talk to us for a bit and is running in place. He offered to meet us for a drink before dinner later and I don't think he had a thing for me meriting the invite. Any who, fuck that guy but thank you for your service. He said adios and went back to running down the fucking snow covered mountain in his shorts.
    Where were we?

It's Sling Orange + Sports Extra  (Not Blue)

Very important you get this step correct, their system is fucked up right now and you can’t make the change from blue to orange yourself. It will take a call to Sling customer service.

  4. Hutson was held out, and if Conner was playing RG the mystery remains who was at LG

Based on the sewage we have recently been fed by team 9.95 I would deduce Neto. Would not be surprised if it were actually Sawyer Merrill.

  5. I see he likes to cosplay as the biggest Asian. Aggie will make him a carboard Samurai Tachi and he can swing it at halftime or before the game with Fake Army. They will then retire the sword and rewrite history with countless traditions. The cardboard will be worshipped forever. THE END

  6. Note to criminals: renting a vehicle to commit your crime is a bad idea, especially when you leave behind the key to the vehicle, and the credit card you used to rent the vehicle, at the scene of the crime.
This guy must be mentally ill.

Also, probably should set off smoke canister after shooting. This stupid fucker couldn’t see what he was shooting at. 33 shots, not a single fatality in a packed subway car.

  8. Agreed; Kyler Murray was drafted on “upside” and raw potential that the metrics supported from basic Track Man projectile and kinematic stats like exit velocity and sprint speed.  Doesn’t always translate.

Who knows— if a guy like Mario Williams is the difference between us stealing a base in a tie game against Vandy or Mississippi State to get into scoring position to take the go ahead score or snagging a ball deep in the hole to take away and XBH in the College World Series, you take that every day of the week.

Somebody mentioned Card vs WV on here earlier. I never watched that game, I was at the camp, caught score, fuck it. I just watched it, most impressive thing was the mid game OU highlight of Mario Williams’ TD catch right side of end zone. We need to land that fucker.
