  1. I saw Sublime with Rome this summer. I was drunk on a blanket at an outdoor venue. Rome Ramirez made some comment about the people in their 40s & 50s in the crowd. The early 20s kid setting right next to me booed. I looked at him and said, "These songs came out before you were born. Why are you here? Is there any artist from your lifetime that doesn't suck?" He had a sense of humor about things, which is good, because he could have knocked my old ass out if things got nasty. The moral of the story is this, I'll never get over the Oilers playoff collapse in Buffalo in 1993. All of the overpriced drinks at retro concerts in the world won't fix things. So, I'm alone. Always will be. I work a bit. I eat a lot of Chinese food. I listen to some podcasts. I'm just biding my time, occasionally shaving my back, waiting for the heart attack that puts me out of my misery.

Was this at the Toyota Music Factory in Dallas? I went to that one. Pretty good show.
  2. Just passing along and take this FWIW. Very second hand from a friend of Devon Campbell… but I work with someone who has a kid on the basketball team at Bowie. His son says that he feels like Devon would go to USC before OU but that Texas has always been the clear destination. Said Devon was MVP of their last basketball tournament in Cedar Hill. Said he’s a good kid and works harder than anybody else despite his notoriety.

My dad took us to Pennington Field one time to see his coworkers kid play for Boyd in the state championship game. They played Mart, and Quan was lightning on that turf against those 2A white boys. I was convinced Texas landed the next Michael Vick

Played against him in 2000 in the semifinals. We (Refugio) were up by 20 and comfy. Quan brought them back and won the game. It sucked. Then almost 10 years later I was in Iraq watching the ‘09 fiesta bowl against Ohio State and he did them the same way. Didn’t feel sorry for them but I could relate. Lol. His brother Quincy was also a very good player.

You need to get your eyes checked then cause your way off base when it comes to my school loyalty. One of my daughters is still going to UT for grad school. I live30 miles from CS, no way I would join that cult

Nobody here is gonna pound your fist and tell you you’re awesome. Most people here are going to shit on your mother and call you a bitch when you show the slightest dip in testosterone levels. They’re also going to kick you the fuck out if you keep changing the topic of the thread. You gotta do the whole “sticks and stones” thing everybody learned in kindergarten and relax.

Who else is considered an aggy lean besides Green, Taylor, and PJ?

I think 247 has them leading for Dewberry out of the top 25, but that’s a cb from Perroni. I read something a few weeks ago, and I can’t remember which one of their recruiting guys said it, that said they would target a lot of out of state players like we did when Jimbo had his big first class and were able to nab some in-state guys that probably would’ve ended up in Austin. Doesn’t look like they will have a very good class in-state aside from Sylla. Anybody know anything about Harold Perkins?

Instagram is a social media app designed solely for the sake of vanity, on this occasion Quinn Ewers decided to post this picture of his dream class for 2022 for Texas which includes many big names that we would love to have in this class

Maybe I’m also too old for instagram but I don’t see it posted on Ewers ig account. Last thing he shows posted is a wiltfong video.

  7. Re: Roach’s comments on Milroe hurting our chances with LJ. Feels like Carrington and Brandon Harris at least thought of this last week when they probably were thinking of downstream impacts of the Ewers commitment and possible Milroe decommitment (assuming they knew at least a few days before everyone else) because of the efforts they went through getting Wheaton on a call with Fournette etc...

Seemed like there was a thorough effort on their part to ensure Wheaton knew he was a big priority prior to OU’s summit thingy.

  8. Milroe news, if that’s what it is, sucks. Didn’t mean to bring the negative out on Ewers commit day the other day. Best of luck to Milroe if that is indeed the negative news TFB was alluding to.

Our lackluster season hurt his ability to have the kind of impact “#EwersEffect” will have this year as long as we get the W’s. Think the 2022 class will be one of the greatest ever if we show up and win this season. The state is loaded.
