We have a supply problem.
Nothing more.
It's not just supply, but quantity supplied. I'm sure most of the national builders have financial analysts employed who calculate where Marginal Cost=Marginal Revenue. But there's also the issue of not being able to get enough labor to build the number of houses they can sell.

Canady isn't coming to Texas. There's too many on the team already and a top HS pitcher is coming in. And that includes Simpson transferring to the bowling team.

I guess it might make sense for the men, especially if they're Catholic. And maybe some nuns, but that's about it. They come to the US to get a job so they can live a decent life. Even if they don't get a job the social programs will do a lot more for them than living in SA. Less than 10% are criminals or part of gangs.

I don’t think normal ppl will ever grasp that a large portion of the voting eligible segment of Spanish speaking citizens is in favor of this.
I would like to see some stats on this. Unless it's someone from Spain. I don't believe anyone from a country south of Texas would vote for Dotard.

At least I learned 1 thing last night. Right down the middle 5" above the knee is a ball. Texas pitcher isn't supposed to be throwing a pitch in that location.

The same amount. They have been the best team, by a wide margin, for the last 10 years. Homefield wouldn't have mattered in most, if not all, of those seasons.
That wasn't really what I was implying. I should have stated it. Would be be able to consistently recruit the best players if the WCWS were in a different city?

The 2.0 turbo four is becoming the 5.x liter V8 of the modern car. I have one rated at 295hp in my lil caddy, the other option was the 3.6NA V6. The tuner boys like the four better because there are more tunes and aftermarket shit for it, where 4-500hp is not out of the question, once you put in forged pistons and rods and some other stuff.
Yes, that's true but I've never driven a 4 cyl that wasn't buzzie and un-refined and that includes BMW, MB and Audi. The purest don't like it and there's talk of them going back to the V8.
Mercedes-AMG might go back to V8s in the C 63 and E 63 - Autoblog

Guess oddsmakers have blOU as favorites??
Yes, it's about 52/48 because basically they are the home team. On a neutral field it would be about 52/48 Texas. Just pisses me off they have the baked in HFA like that. How many NC's would Grasso have if the WCWS were in Omaha, Nashville, Dallas, Chicago?

Yeah but it was way too quick-2 pitches 2 easy pop outs. Why not wait for the right pitch?
I think he/she answered that, trying to hard; overanxious. But true that's the worst thing you can do is swing at Canady's rise ball up in the zone. You can't get on top of it, it's just going to be a pop-up.
And Canady will probably be at gooner next year. She's not going to win a NC at Stanford unless they get 9 new batters that can hit the ball. She'll fit in with the gooners perfectly. Acting like a drunk animal when you're down 6 in the last inning and stomping up and down like a moron when you get a strikeout is par the course for those idiots. I'm glad our pitchers show class. Seems to me like someone once said, "act like you've been there before".

I wouldn’t mind seeing our speedier players (Bella, Henry) attempt to lay down bunts with 0 outs more
Sure, I like it when it's executed correctly, but Henry almost cost a double play bunting a high pitch. Maloney has lived on the bunt all season. But the batters have to understand you can't bunt a high pitch, you have to pull back. And Canady's ride ball is very hard to bunt anyway, moving upward at that velocity. She's trying to get a pop out.
They have to also understand if the pitcher isn't going to give you a good pitch to bunt, let them walk you.

I'll play contrarian a bit. I agree we need CG to get some work, but in our only loss to Stanford, she started by hitting the first batter, then a wild pitch, some fielding fuckups, and we were down 2-0 in the 1st inning. You give Canady that lead and we are fucked. OTOH, we are undefeated when we score first.
I wonder if you bring out TC or MM first to get things settled and then bring in CG later. She just has issues starting games. Why not use her as more of a middle reliever.
It wouldn't bother me one bit to see Mac start. Yes, Citlaly and Teagan have better "stuff", but Mac has better mental "stuff". Start with a walk, an error and a hit that just makes it through the gap and it could be over in the 1st.

Futurecast not showing it clear until 2pm. If gooner/gator goes 2 games gonna be a real late start for Texas/Tree, if at all.

I tend toward glass half empty . . . but I don't see Canaday throwing 200+ pitches tomorrow to beat us twice. That's what it's going to take.
According to the forecast (questionable) the T storms roll in during the 1st game. The worst thing that could happen is Canady get's in a full game, Tree wins and then the rain comes giving Canady another days rest. I'd rather have the storms come in early and make Canady throw 2 games back to back tomorrow.
Obviously Texas is well rested. Who starts? Teagan did well before, but now do they know her pitches? Mac certainly did great against gator. Citlaly also did pretty good in the early season game, and there's Estelle to go against all those lefties for once through the order.

This hearing earlier really looks terrible for DA
All Charges Dropped With Prejudice
Scottie's atty after charges dropped...
I'm not sure who's the bigger bunch of morons, the DA's office or the reporters. You have to be a total imbecile to think Scottie had any criminal motivations. And apparently a lot of people have never driven in the rain at night.
It reminds me of when I was a juror in an assault trial. There were about 18 witnesses that said the other person started the fight and none that said the defendant started it. We decided on not guilty in about 3 min and then sat around for another 15 min discussing WTF the DA brought the charges so it didn't look like we arrived at our verdict to quick.
Damn, there's some idiots in our justice system and you have to wonder where the hell they ever got a law degree.

Dotard has more baggage than American Airlines. A farm animal should be able to beat him. If any Democrat can't then there's something wrong with the Democratic party.

coaching 3rd isn't that difficult but there is a reason a lot of baseball managers don't do it.
I'm not sure what our signs are but I've never seen a point to the bag mean anything other than stay on the bag, in fact it usually means to come in standing up.
you can have a player turn hard but you have to get down the line. We also had a player slide to the wrong side of the bag I think.
this is a good video. MIke should watch it.
Why should someone who's been playing and coaching some 40+ years have to watch someone else's video? This is something he should execute 1 million X out of 1 million. You never ever ever give the runner any type of signal that could possibly be confusing. They have .1 second to make a decision.

If we don't put every right hander we have in the lineup vs this pitcher next time we face her, Mike screwed up.
Who do you replace? Washington is the weakest batter in the line-up. Maybe you can put Goode in the OF, but will she better than any of the lefties against a lefty? And she's not a slapper. Sure, Hunter in the lineup would be nice, but you can't replace Jolie with Hunter and I don't know if either one can play 2nd? You certainly can't take Stewie out when she can change the game with 1 swing. There are no great options or Mike would have done it. Texas biggest weakness all season has been going against a good lefty. Obviously it's a strength against a righty.
I would've like the idea of Czech coming in when Mac hit the 2 batters, but aggy doesn't have the left heavy line-up like Texas. The secret weapon of Czech doesn't do much against aggy.
Can Teagan pitch today without the jitters? My biggest fear in game 1 was just what happened. I would've been fine with Mac starting game 1 to help settle the nerves of the younger pitchers. Citlaly may not have walks, but getting behind in the count and having to throw a meatball right down the middle is the same thing.
