Chaisson has been the definition of class all week.  No way he would ever pull a bullshit stunt like this.

Did the Yahoo article also mention the fact Chaisson is in a walking boot this week and may not play next weekend?    But no, that’s definitely a stunt, and Pete definitely didn’t make up the winking part.

    Tell it again Brian.

Players filed out of the locker room, grumbling that LSU required 12 trips from trainers to the field during the game, 10 of which came in the second half. That included Chaisson, winking at the Texas staff when he went down with an apparent lower-body ailment late in the second half before walking to the opposite sideline. Texas had one trip from the trainer all game, which came on the onside kick in the final minute.

Bold strategy putting faith in a Yahoo article written by a guy with a known history of making shit up to slander LSU athletics.

The odds against the following are astronomical.  Please rationalize for us:

    Texas Offense: 0 cramps

    Texas Defense: 0 cramps

    LSU Offense: 0 cramps

    LSU Defense: 13 cramps

Is it a particular atmospheric pressure and humidity combination that is lower than Red Stick which causes this incredible statistical anomaly?

Also, on the 2 occasions when 2 players went down "with cramps", how was it possible that in both cases, 1 of them was miraculously "healed" in seconds with no treatment at all?

Also, are you familiar with the song, Sandstorm?

Reported no AC in locker room plus lack of IV treatments at half.  It’s certainly plausible.   LSUs offense never needed more than 6 plays to score in the second half so that probably explains why they didn’t have any cramping issues.

And yes, but I’m not sure what relevance the song has.

I can go out on a limb and suggest you were an obnoxious unwelcome asshole

Not at all.  Got to know everyone sitting immediately around us.   There were some drunk obnoxious LSU fans that came down to our section when seats starting clearing out after the TD on 3rd and 17.   I was really surprised they didn’t get their asses kicked and I probably would have taken a couple shots at them too.

No you didn’t.  During the cramp spree, LSU had a player who was actually injured.  Texas fans were quiet, put their horns up and gave applause when he was taken off.

Your other questions are irrelevant.  Find the poster saying that the fake injuries cost Texas the game.  THEN, we can get into what the result was of those drives.

We lost because our defense was poorly coached and failed to execute against a really talented offense.  That’s the consensus, but I know  You would rather troll on about “TEXAS FANS WHINING BLAMING THE LOSS ON OUR CRAMPS!!!!”, so enjoy your last moments here before you are banned.

    negged.

I was at the game.  When both Divinity and Delpit went to the locker room the boos did not stop from many in our section and very few people around us had horns up while they were on the field.   Please tell me more about what my game experience was.

  6. Texas scored on every possession a “fake injury” occurred.   Most times by Sam throwing at the back up player that was brought in.

What was the defense’s excuse for allowing LSU to score every single time they got the ball back... being too fresh from all the time outs?

Several times I witnessed fans continue to boo as LSU players were being assisted back to their locker room.   Texas should be better than this.

And that was with a backup QB, and the score was still close. I'm not saying we're going to curb stomp y'all, but this new offense y'all are installing is something we face every single week. Our D is no slouch, either. It'll be a close game. My prediction is

    Texas - 24

    LSU - 17

And LSU was missing 7 defensive starters.   The score was not indicative of the game.  Outside of 2 UCF drives LSU completely dominated on both sides of the ball.

I think it will be a close game.   I would like to say Texas will win, but I think they lost too many guys from last season.  Having one of the best recruiting classes the last couple years is great, but a ton of those guys are still too inexperienced.  This game is completely on Sam.   If he comes thru he is a serious Heisman contender.

Why don't you elaborate on how this mythical LSU great defense allowed UCF w/ a backup and aggy to gash through it like warm butter, but somehow Texas, a team who faces spread teams weekly will struggle.

UCF was 12/31 for 120 yards passing, and 130 yards on 30 carries for a whole 250 yards.

They scored on their opening drive and then had a pick six.  LSU adjusted.  UCFs following drives were...

    4 plays, fumble

    3 and out

    7 plays, downs

    3 and out

10 plays TD to end half

    3 and out

    3 and out

    3 and out

3 plays and FG from 20 after recovering muffed punt

    3 and out

    garbage time TD

.... clearly you didn’t watch the game

How many times did Aranda face the obvious #1 offense in the country?  Orlando did it twice.  He also faced #8, #10, #12, #22 in conference.  And unlike the SEC stats there was very little padding from FCS and much less from lower tier G5 opponents.  Get rid of that fat from crappy OOC scheduling and a lot of the SECx3 mythology dies.

Aranda also had the luxury of facing a bunch of poor and one dimensional offenses in conference.  I think only KU and maybe KSU meet that description in the Big XII.

Once.  Against Alabama.    Only Clemson and Ms St did better.

Give it a rest with the SECx3 OOC crap.  LSU is playing UT and #21 11-2 Ut St this year.

I don't know who's going to win the game.  It's part of why I don't spend my time posting on LSU message boards and shitting on their team.

I think the talent is close and I expect a good game.  As does pretty much everyone here.  You didn't come here to make that point though, as evidenced by the K State post. Piss off.

Really?   Because the previous 20 pages I read was everyone saying UT will outscheme and win by 21-28.   The only person saying pump the brakes was nearly downvoted to ban status.

    Feleipe Franks 7.0 ypc.

    Fitzgerald 5.7 ypc (153 yards)

    Tua 16.3 ypc

Mond was the one guy you mentioned who actually didn't have a great running game against LSU.

You're making up numbers.  And it's once again becoming apparent you're an A&M fan pretending to be an LSU fan.

Aggie are the absolute worst.    They have no business being in the SEC, and have developed a homoerotic relationship with Bama.

The original point of my first post was to ask why are you being so arrogant, and potentially setting yourself up for yet another season of disappointment, against a worthy opponent.

Fitzgerald is not a dual threat.  He's a single threat to run.  He's a TERRIBLE passer.  Even so, he ran for 7 YPC even though LSU was able to load the box against it.  It's going to be funny to watch Sam against 5-6 in the box instead of Fitzgerald vs 7-8.

I have no idea where you think Tua got 3.3 YPC.  He had 3 carries for 49 yds vs LSU.  If you don't have a calculator handy that's over 16 YPC, even including the one sack for 5 yds that properly belongs to the passing game.

UCF also didn't have a dual threat.  Maybe a worse passer than Fitzgerald and that's saying something.  He ran the ball 6 times into a loaded box for 45 yards.

We don't like aggy but that doesn't mean we lie about them.  Mond isn't that good as either a runner or passer but decent at both.  Decent runner had 16 carries for 80 yards and picked up 6-7 1st downs and a critical TD rushing.  That's giving up a lot to someone mediocre at both threats.

Tua had one broken play for 44 yards then did nothing.    His 2018 ypc was 3.3 according to espn.    What other dual threat QBs did LSU lose to last year?

Here's a hint. Mississippi State sucks.

While you're busy over there moving your goal post over to the basketball court try to remember that the original point was that LSU has issues with dual threat QBs.

Miss St did suck.  Yet they owned K St.  Why did Tex barely beat them?   Couldn’t have been the Mensa coaching

Trolls and people who argue fantasy get down voted.  I have felt Texas should be a slight favorite since I first started to take a look at this game.  Betting lines are moving more and more in that direction.  Texas has a better DC even though LSU's is outstanding.  The offensive coaching is heavily in favor or Texas.

LSU has slightly higher rated recruits but that did not translate into offensive production last year.  Their OL is particularly prone to being exploited by quick defensive penetration.  Every decent dual threat QB LSU faced last year left a mark on them.  I understand why anyone just reading the headlines would favor LSU.  When you look below the surface, Texas is a really bad matchup for the boys from Red Stick.

That’s completely false about dual threat QBs.   Nick Fitzgerald was completely owned.   Tua ran for 3.3 ypc last year.   UCF, lol.  Mond... do you want to compliment Aggie?

  15. Can’t wait for this game.

Grew up indoctrinated into LSU culture, but was also a multi-sport student athlete at UT for a period of time.  Unfortunately injury derailed my sports career and finishing school there.

I expect this to be a very close game that could go either way.   .

LSU fans, the majority expecting an 11-1 season for them, also think this will be a close game.    Yet, it seems the consensus on this board is the exact opposite, and anyone that tries to temper expectations is downvoted into exile.

What happens to the fan morale if you lose?  Realistically, whoever loses this game can still run the table and be in the playoffs as a conference champion.
