Love Simon's film, especially how he remains straight downfield while pushing guys away and making them miss. Sort of like Earl.

While I'm glad that Texas in on the right side of the poor/non-poor equation, I actually kind of agree with his sentiment. I think the NCAA, or a replacement organization, needs to implement some sort of tiered school structure (like UIL) with a salary cap.
These are things you don't say out loud.

I understand there's not a lot to talk about, and it's easy to get off topic. But if we're gonna have a side-bar, can it be something funny or more interesting than "can you change your throwing motion"? You fucking imbeciles are killing me here.
I take full responsibility with my clearly subpar take. Will post less.

what? Changing the way someone throws would be by making mechanical changes.Technically, sure. My point is obvious style changes, totally different planes. Mechanical tweaks, to me, are everything from footwork to rotation to pointing your elbow more etc. Not going from Quinn Ewers to Drew Brees.

His arm was vertical last year compared to before. And you know what? It made him better. If he would narrow his stance a touch and get his hip rotation ahead of his shoulders he'd improve a bit more.
I didn't see anything changed, looked exactly the same to me. But I ain't no QB whisperer. I'm not talking about mechanical tweaks, I'm talking about changing the way someone throws, a different style.

95% of NFL QBs. It's amazing to me that there's a contigent on this board that throwing mechanics don't matter.
Who said throwing mechanics don't matter? Would you change's Quinn motion to over the top because his passes get batted down? Probably, and you'd fuck him up.

I always laugh at the changing the throwing motion bullshit. How many big players have totally changed their throwing motion and made a leap? Reminds me of my best friend growing up, who was the number one junior golfer in America. He went to the best college golf program at the time and they changed his swing and he never recovered. You don't grow up your whole life throwing a ball one way then change it and improve.

Bobby should probably back away from some of his grand proclamations. He may be confusing why people watch his content. His viewership is probably up and has much more to do with team’s success and very little to with his opinions. I don’t hate Booby but some of the things he says leaves me scratching my head.
Who's much higher than Savea and Norton? Were they not two of the top DT transfer candidates out there?

I was sitting with friends who weren't Texas fans in the end zone section at the Michigan Rose Bowl game when Vince dropped back and a hole suddenly developed in the middle of the line. "Touchdown," I said without thinking, because it was inevitable. My buddies lost their minds, thinking I could predict the future, when Vince sprinted through and scored a second later.

What Worthy gives them is lightening quick little dog in the slot who can also blow the top off the defense. His toughness sets him apart as much as his speed. Going to be fun.

These two picking their favorites at each position and talking about how the play will go down is very entertaining. Also it lets you see how smart CJ really is as a QB and play designer, and he's only 22.
Kid sounds super-sharp. This Oiler fan may have to give a shit about Houston football again

Wonder what Ewers was thinking after six QB's went in the top 12.
He wouldn't have been among them, but he will next year.

I read that too, but then I also read that Buffalo doesn't have the cap space to get a player like that. We'll see.
Either way, to allow KC to move up to their pick to get Mahome's desired WR is pretty fucking stupid.
It's probably smart to the egg heads, seeing their draft picks increase, but dumb to anyone smart enough to see Worthy scoring touchdowns on them over and over again for years on end -- which is delicious, because fuck the Bills.

From the peanut gallery Brooks seems to have blamed the coaches for not being our number one corner instead of the other talent at his position, so he bailed instead of upping his game.

FWIW, Taaffe was the only player on the team that gave his gloves away after the spring game. Or at least he was the only one who did it as he was exiting to the tunnel
Maybe the gloves sucked and he was fucking over some little kid. Better way to look at it.

So with Norton on board and UT still out there looking at others, what exactly is the depth chart/rotation going to be at DT? With Morre and Burke, it is unlikely anyone we bring in will get significant play as a SDE. So are we trying to move Colbron to second string behind Norton and whoever else they get? Is Colburn most likely one of the starters and we are looking to rotate 4 a ton?
Wut up, Colbron?

I like the mythical element. His father Cooper was the eldest son, and some say the most talented, but fate struck him down. Arch the Avenger.

Posse East took up my fake id and pinned it up on their wall when I was a freshman in 1988. Assholes. Haven’t been back since. Go crown or go home. #neverforget
Mine was from Pennsylvania, because nobody knew what a Pennsylvania license was suppose to look like. Worked for years, until a cop took it in the back of a paddy wagon on 6th street, but that's another story.

He was prone to dings and strains. Hoping another year in the oven has his body tougher and more resilient. Says he's been working on his pad level in traffic/lower bend in the knees. He's a tall dude and likes to run upright. Hopefully it all starts coming together for him this season.
Blue looks like he worked hard to build his body up. Needs to improve his hands receiving and ball security. Codaxx makes a good point on blocking and you'd like to think the coaches have made sure he knows that.
Both of these guys should be pretty motivated with the talent that's behind them.
It's comforting we have such a fine stable of RB's in the wings should either of these guys go down. I'd think Tre Wisner would be the first called upon given his time in the system. And that's another reason for him to get occasional touches as has been mentioned him playing a KR kind of role. That should mean he'll be more ready to go offensively instead of coming off the bench cold.
Wisner may end up like Brooks. Not a super-star recruit but ahead of the game from his first snaps. Just a savvy feel for things, getting better and stronger.

It’s also just not the way the world works. Naming rights eventually expire (whether by expiration of contract terms or the allure of greater economic opportunity) and asset lifecycles/usefulness are not just theories. Yup. My great grandfather's name was on the Alabama library until it wasn't. Didn't help that he was a Jew. Though he did start the football program.

I don't understand this sentiment. Taaffe was our most consistent and productive safety last year.
The color of his skin and the past sins of his position coach should not be held against him.
It's more that he was a walk on and thus, theoretically, not athletic enough for a scholly.

I see the problem. One forearm is twice the size of the other. Never gonna shine with that kind of inconsistency.
I met Rod Laver when I was little. His left forearm was like Popeye's. My dad said he looked like a crab.
