He's 1/2 JRT. Dude would take on a grizzly if he had to. Once at the dog park an ugly poodle mix lunged at me as we were walking in. Biscuit nearly tore out of his harness trying to get to it. That dog was about 3x his size but I have no doubt that he would've destroyed that dog if I didn't have him still on a leash.

We don't deserve them.  Some caveman did us all a solid back in the day.

I hate seeing these. And I do try to help whenever I can but this little girl is a perfect dog. If y’all know anyone in California that can adopt her before she is euthanized tomorrow I’d be grateful. Or at least I know I did my best to try.

I hate this.  I have to say goodbye to Bailey soon, and I don't know what to do after that.  I want to rescue every dog I see.

These are awesome dogs. I got Bailey and was surprised at how soft her coat is for a pit/cattle dog mix. Then a couple years later, Luna crawled into my lap at the pound and was even softer. Bailey and Luna. Pound puppies from Wilco.

They rarely bark, shed twice a year and act as if they are starving for attention.

Great name for a doge.  Back in the day my Bailey ran like the wind and scoffed at hurricanes.   She was a wolf.  In a flowery halter that for the record I did NOT buy her.  But it was a gift so she kind of had to wear it.

Bear above is 35% Chow, 13% German, 13% Australian Cattle dog. I’ve never had much exposure to pure Chows but after 16 years with this guy I’d definitely recommend heavy mixes. Best dog I’ve been around.

Bailey the Mutt is half Chow and half Boston Terrier.  Very protective of the house, if she can hear the doorbell.  Gone deef.

Went to bootcamp in summer of '89.  Watched FMJ about 2 weeks before I left and it scared the fuck out of me.  Imagine my surprise that after processing and upon meeting our Senior Drill Instructor, 3 other mean ass motherfuckers were unleashed upon us.  LMAO.  I had no idea there were 4.  I thought it was just "Daddy."  Anyhoo, the Saturday night before Visitor's Sunday, we watch FMJ in the squad bay, Daddy's treat since we won the Guidon for Platoon of the Cycle.  What a difference 13 weeks makes...LOL.

R Lee Ermey's performance is so priceless because he wasn't acting, but rather channeling the insane characters that virtually every Drill instructor was.  He didn't need a script because it was just who he was and what a recruit experiences.  The depiction is just pure truth through a needle into your veins.

My favorite line in the whole flick is his comeback to "Did your parents have any children that lived?"

    "Sir, yes, sir"

    "I bet they regret that."

Encapsulates the sick-minded thorough dressing down every recruit receives in basic.  Sheer poetry.

Then they fall behind on the payment or other bills and they call the NCO in charge and dock their pay.  Either that or end up at the numerous pawn shops or loan places across the street from the base.

Ok, maybe.  But they still let you play with guns and blow shit up.
