  1. Bama isnt invincible, but they are definitely top 3 or better.  We are better this year, so we have hope.  I think Sark can figure out some ways to put points on the board.  But Bama defenses force two turnovers on the young QB/O line

    Bama 43

    Tex 27 (2td passing, 1 TD rushing, 2 fg)

Ewers - 20/28, 1 pick;  1 fumble on a blind side hit coming off RT, total 229 yards. 2td, 1 to Sanders, 1 to Worthy. Total rushing 140 yards

Bijon -20 touches, 165 total yards- split  almost qually run/pass. 1 TD

I think Bama passes for 295 and runs for 164

Despite 16 point loss, we see encouraging signs at QB, OL, and DL.

Only lose 2 other games rest of year with 9-3 record.

No kool aid at all until 10 wins.  Period.  Never again.  I've been telling myself since the turtle debut.

    Nevar.

    Again.

Show me 10 wins, then I will drink freely.

    Until then, Parcells.

This game tomorrow is only meaningful in negative ways.

If we cover, we did what we were supposed to but no kool aid.

Anything else, and it's not positive.

Ever year, I drink the Koolaid.  I tell myself in preseason, no do not drink.  But i read the $9.95 er's practise praise and I am like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy will not pull the football this time.

Guess, I am technically a tshirt fan?  I moved to Austin in 1984 and started following the team. In 1999 my son  was accepted and later graduated from UT and this when i became a true Longhorn fan.   Spoiled by Vince and Colt, and every darn year since, I drink the kool aid, only to be semi crushed by game 2.  Anyway, Hookem.  Beleiving in Sark.

PS.   I was accepted into UT Law school, but decided not go as I was already 40 and semi entrenched in a tech career.  SO I was almost a longhorn.   PS. My wife is a lawyer, and from what I have seen about lawyers, judges, trials....I am glad i did not go to Law School.

  5. Hell, i am all for it.  My brother is an LSU grad and has given me crap for years about BIg12. NOT SEC SEC SEC.

Looking forward to games against LSU, FLorida, Bama, Georgia, Auburn.  How can that not excite you, win or lose.  We have to step up our recruitng to consistently stay at the top and maybe, just maybe, this will help some of those Texas 4 and 5 stars stay home at Texas.

As far as rednecks, between OU and a couple of other teams in texas, we have been knee deep in rednecks for years.  Of course I am a redneck from Louisiana, but spent the last 30 years in Austin and San Antonio.  My son is a UT graduate.  Hookem.spacer.png

Its a bunch of FUD because these ADs and Commissions realize we're in the end game now.

If they could somehow reverse this move, maybe they win in the end. Otherwise BIG is primed to be the next bad guy
