they have screenshots of his assistant threatening deportation to that Colombian kid, and then of course he hired John Wall's AAU coach and gave him a six figure salary (while no doubt filtering some money down to Wall himself). that's two things i know of that are out in the open.
The assistant (Mark Morefield) was fired. And Baylor's recruiting subsequently went to shit after he left. But, yeah, John Wall was a complete stud when he played for Baylor. I forgot about that. 😐

So I have always heard you guys say Drew is dirty as fuck. What does he do?
Define dirty. Paying players? You think Scott's paying off low-end 4 star, 3-star, and 0-star athletes to come to Baylor? (0-stars = Teague, Flagler, JTT, Gillispie from last year's team--a guy who started as a D3 bench player.)
The dude hasn't had a top 25 recruiting class in 10 years. Hasn't had a 5-star recruit in 10 years. His top recruit on this year's roster was Dain Dainja, ranked #89 nationally in 2020. But he redshirted, so the top-ranked Bear to actually play for the team this season is LJ Cryer, a seldom-used freshman who was ranked #93 nationally. (There's also Mitchell, who was ranked in the upper 50s but he transferred from Auburn.)
They have zero blue-chip players this year. None. But you're arguing, what, that he's Sean Miller + Will Wade + Rick Barnes all rolled into one, despite having terrible recruiting classes?
There are shenanigans in all power 5 programs, facilitated by Nike/Adidas/UA/etc. Who knows, maybe Drew is aware of these shenanigans. But then there are coaches like Miller/Wade/etc. who handle it themselves--specifically when it comes to elite 5-star recruits. Baylor hasn't had one of those elite recruits in over 10 years, but you want people to believe that Drew is dirtier than all of them combined despite being an objectively mediocre recruiter?
Chris Beard, meanwhile, started pulling in 4 and 5-star players within his first 2 years in Lubbock. But, sure, he's "clean," (whatever that means) and Drew is dirty. Why? Well, logic.
Does [coach's name] cheat?
↳Is he the current head coach of your school?->Yes -> He never cheats, even if he cheated before he joined your team. ↓
No -> He's the dirtiest coach in college basketball, even if he's traditionally been a weak recruiter.

Exactly. Every damn program cheats to some extent. Is Drew in the Urban Meyer/Bill Self/Will Wade/Eddie Sutton category? If he is, he's not very good at it. His recruiting, aside from a strong 3 or 4-year run, has been absolutely awful, especially considering that Baylor has been a borderline top 25 program.
All of the other coaches mentioned above bring in elite, 5-star recruits every single year. Baylor just got its FIRST 5-star commit in a decade, and they struggle to get low-end 4-star recruits.
But, sure, Rick Barnes said he was dirty so he must be dirty. It couldn't be that Barnes saw him as a threat to his own job security--a job he ended up losing.
