As a kid who grew up in small town Texas, I had never heard of wrestling. When we moved to Oklahoma I was in Jr. High and I signed up for wrestling. Wrestled all the way through senior year in 6A. Was third in the state a few years.

I can tell you this much: football makes you understand strength and brute force. Wrestling makes you understand how to use that against your opponent. If you tango with a solid wrestler you had better land the first punch square because you may not land another one before you go to the ground.

watching this little fucker throw around guys when he played nose guard at Amarillo Tascosa was something else...1512889840_ScreenShot2021-02-21at2_09_52PM.thumb.png.d361848e85dc1cac053fa854fb3058d0.png

“He looked at me…and coofed in my direction,” the caller said, according to a photo of the 311 operator’s computer screen provided to The Post.

“Coof” is a newly coined term for coughing while infected with the coronavirus, according to the Urban Dictionary website....(snip)[/No Bobbitt]

I was really hoping "coofed" had a more deviant meaning than that

First, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about and this board would be much better served if you fucked off. Second, you don't read very well and I feel like it is pointless to keep repeating myself. Third, rt-PCR isn't meant as a test for the general population. You can trust me, ask others on this site, or look it up yourself. Antibody testing currently is inaccurate and until that is fixed testing the general population is of limited utility. Even when that is fixed, people would be better served assuming everyone is contagious and continuing social distancing and other protective measures than relying on tests. Just because someone is negative on April 19 does not mean that they will be negative on April 20.

14 deaths in Lubbock County. Nursing home got hit hard. Apparently nurses that worked at this certain nursing home work at others in town.

270 cases and most people I know are going on like normal and think it’s a joke....”it’s only old people, I don’t feel sick” ....city is going to be good test case for how much this going to spread over the next week

Kevin McHale was such a badass. He had more low post moves than anyone and that includes Hakeem. Barkley said that if McHale got the ball down on the blocks all you could do was hope he'd miss because you weren't going to stop him. He also gets points for being one of the funniest MFers of all time. One of my favorite quips from McHale was him busting the ball of #33. A reporter asked him "what's the most amazing thing you've ever seen Larry Bird do?" He didn't miss a beat with "well, I saw him pick up the check one time."

And I know he doesn't belong on the top 10 or probably top 50 white players, but a shout out to 'Thunder' Dan Majerle. White Men Can't Jump definitely did not apply to him.

nothing like watching McHale in the low post,  I miss that part of basketball

I don't know if anyone has mentioned the great Jack Sikma ...he finally made into the HOF last year...6'11, great passer .. and his step back pivot in the post was revolutionary at the time, my 8th grade basketball coach taught that to me in 1988 and I used that move with good success for 4 years in college and six years playing in Europe.. he was a big influence on the game  ...that jump shot tho

  7. it was somewhat enjoyable to see lunacy at that level ...I'm no PETA guy, but any sentient being knows that the animal abuse going on in those places is off the charts ...all of them should be shot in the back of the head for that or at least put in a cage and poked with a stick repeatedly

  8. so....Amarillo is doing this:

Many viewers are wondering why non-essential businesses are still operating, and the City clarified today that business can remain open, but they must follow these guidelines.

“All customers and employees need to stay at least six feet apart. No more than 10 customers inside the store, enhance sanitation on common surfaces like counter tops, points of sale devices, or shopping carts, things like that, then ensuring customers and employees are keeping enhanced hygiene standards,” said Amarillo City Manager Jarred Miller.
