LJ Johnson is at SMU

I'd make fun of you for not getting the joke, but I wish I didn't check this thread regularly enough to get it. I'm jealous

Foreman showed he had it early in his career. So far, Blue has flashed it as well
Listen. I don't like doing this more than anyone else, but I have to inform you that if you took away Foreman's longest run from 2015 his YPC drops from 7.1 to 6.3. If you subtract his two longest runs it plummets to 5.4. What's even more concerning, is that if you also remove his third longest run from his average it's all the way down to 4.8 ypc. With this in mind, any thoughts you had 9 years ago that he might go on to run for 2000 yards and win the Doak were egregiously misguided. Readjust your expectations accordingly.

once again you are blinded by a single run from a single game
Foreman went 9 for 117 in the 2015 OU game.
81 of that came on one play. he was not touched until he was 10 yards down the field, a guy got 1 arm on him there. then another guy dove at his ankles and he shrugged that off and then he wasn't touched again until he was tackled. this was a bad OU defense. Heard attempted 11 passes, Texas completed 9 passes for 55 yards and rushed it 58 times. Texas won 24-17.
Foreman didn't outrun anyone lol. he had an 81 yard run and was tackled from behind at the 10 yard line with 3 dudes around him that all would have tackled him
here's the 3 guys associated with that tackle (10, 13, 15)
that touch happened with 10 seconds in the 3rd Q. that was his last touch of the game as Texas salted away the win with Heard (21 carries) and Gray (22 carries)
the rest of the game he had 8 carries for 36 yards, or 4 yards per carry.
dude was an incredible player at Texas. not denying that at all, but that single run is stuck in your mind as some kind of wild play where he ran away from a bunch of little dudes is absolutely incorrect.
Is this a bit? I'll admit I'm having difficulty caring enough to keep track of who's arguing what, but the guy's point is that Foreman turned out to be really fucking good. Not that he was dominant that game. That you came in and echoed your same arguments about how actually Foreman kind of stunk that game only strengthens any parallels he's drawing between what Blue showed last season and that specific Foreman game.

Why? I don’t think any of the RBs have put together 3-4 games in a row of high level tape. This isn’t like Bijan going into his 2nd year, where you were like that is the guy. I don’t think they suck. I just don’t think any of them have hit their ceiling yet. Not sure there is a guy that can take 18-20 touches a game in the room. We won’t know until one of them goes out and does it
Bijan hadn't put together 3-4 games in a row of high level tape nor had he shown he could handle 20 touches/game going into his 2nd year. It's a wonder that it worked out for the kid, imo.

I admit to being a little uninformed, but can you check your notes again and give specifics for this next Colt comparison?
I honestly don't know if Colt was Mack's last great QB eval or he simply won the lottery twice in the span of 4 years.Colt was QB remaining in '05 class when Perriloux bailed

I seem to be in the same boat as most wrt remembering very little from S1. Where I seem to part is I really fucking liked the first season. Particularly the second half of it. Guess I need to squeeze in a rewatch.

Didn't Spurrier give Mack that nickname as a dig on his coaching vs recruiting abilities?
Called him "Mr. Football" because he thought he was a joke of football coach, presumably

Bummed Nurys couldn't pull it out, unfortunately obvious it'd be Emanuel. At least Berna got exactly what she deserved (nothing)
Watching 5 camera angles of people just doing puzzles is brutal, just not fun or compelling
A shark doing a Free Willy jump across/over that final platform and eating her woulda been better, imo

I quite loved We Own This City, but among just miniseries I probably take Chernobyl and Watchmen over it and I believe they come in just under the 5 year limitation.
And then I wasn't as big a fan of Succession as most, but I think you'd get a lot of pushback there from others

Is that the real trailer? Because it looks like CGI shlock.
I'm guessing that Gladiator II won't actually include Viper vs The Mountain II

I like that they were playing for more than just voting power. I realize it's just UA apparel, but it's possible Ed got 5% more greedy going for the W and costing himself in pursuit of $15k vs. just staying at the top and calling check to assure he stay in the game.

Generally like the format change though it's going to be tough for the girls not to get picked off if they don't separate by gender, right?
