Sure. Give me a bit more information, though. Where are you flying into and out of? Are you open to flying into someplace like Frankfurt and out Zurich? Or are you intent on flying out of the same place you flew into? And what about internal transit? Are you doing trains or renting a car? And how ambitious do you want to be on transit? Like a "if it's Friday, it must be Munich" itinerary? Or more of a "let's find one or two bases of operations and go from there?" And what do you mean by "culture?" Are you looking for art museums? Cites of historical significance (and if so, what era)? Or more like street art and the KitKat Club?
Just three ideas:
Rhine:
Fly into Frankfurt and drive up to the Romantic Rhine (i.e., the stretch roughly from Bingen to Koblenz). Spend a couple days there checking out the various castles. Drive down to Strasbourg and spend a few days there. Then drive down to Basel and spend a couple days there exploring the Rhine as it exits the Alps. Fly out of Zurich.
Berlin & Dresden:
Fly into Berlin (will require a connection) and spend five days there. Drive down to Dresden, which is an under-visited and -appreciated city by Americans. About halfway is the Spreewald, which is where the River Spree naturally spreads out into a huge floodplain but has, over the millennia, been carved up by small canals. It's just a beautiful area that you can now get a gondola, a bike, or just hike around.
Munich & the Bavarian Alps:
Fly into Munich and spend three or four days there. Then drive down to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, see King Ludwig's castles, hike the Partnachklamm and the Alpspitze, take the gondola up to the top of the Zugspitze (the highest mountain in Germany). Maybe go over to Salzburg and check out Berchtesgaden if there's time.
Those are just some ideas.
Thank you for the recommendations! Much appreciated..
We are leaning towards Munich as the starting point and then heading towards the Wengen, Murren, or Lauterbrunnen area as a base for operations. Anyone have a preference as to which area to pick as our home base to explore the area?

Looking to take the wife and two adult kids to Germany and possibly Switzerland for 10ish days. Looking for a mixture or culture and nature. Any suggestions on itineraries, must sees?

We were definitely in college at the same time. This was like reading my own football diary. It's was a painful and sometimes soggy reminder of the past.
Rashan Salam and the Missery rain game.
You missed UCLA... me: 50 yard line, end of game, cancer stick in mouth, stretched out on 3 rows of bleachers. - Celebrating when we got the field goal to keep the scoring record alive. Yes, really.
I wanted Texas to score another field goal against UCLA to make it 66-6, as the sign of the devil would have been appropriate for the hell that was our program.

It’s been way too long since the Horns looked like they knew they were going to win. They didn’t flinch and countered quickly when Bama score. Let’s F’ing Go!

There are a lot of pork belly burnt ends recipes out there. I vacuum seal some when I make a slab and can reheat them nicely at a later date.

Recteq 590 delivered yesterday. Can't wait to join the club.
What's the verdict on the Recteq 590? Is the 590 large enough for most cooks, how's the build and cook quality? Been looking at several different manufacturers, but am drawn to the Rec Teq. Need to purchase something shortly.

It is 3892 days from the start date to the end date, end date included.
Or 10 years, 7 months, 27 days including the end date.
Or 127 months, 27 days including the end date.
It has been 24,758 days since Texas A&M has beaten Georgia on Oct 3, 1954.

Just got back from St. Kitts and Nevis and wasn’t the biggest fan. Four Seasons is nice and on the Caribbean side, which is important. Marriott beach is covered in seaweed this time of year and is on the Atlantic So not as pretty. Nice people, but pretty third world. Great diving and had good food. Not too much to do. I enjoyed other islands more.

Where was Louie's on the Lake? I have a vague memory from 1989-1990 of taking a ferry from Oyster Landing (long before Hula Hut or anything else was there) over to a restaurant where Lake Austin Marina is now. I thought it was Jazz on the Lake.
That was it. All you could eat seafood and it was quite tasty. The waitresses in the sailor outfits didn’t hurt either. One of the Osmond brothers was a co-owner as I recall.

This thread deserves the "comeback player of the year" award.
For years, and years, and years, it was nothing but dogshit.
And now, possibly the greatest thread ever. Securing the financial future of Texas football, putting us at the apex of the competitive landscape, and completely fucking aggy over and exposing their insecurities to the entire college football world? All in one thread? Fantastic.
Gascamp Award nominee?
