Don't belittle the brilliant Aggie thinking here. It's tactical.
They get enough aggies to wear maroon as part of their attempt at a legal foundation for "owning" the color and nomenclature. Establish "quantity of dipshits united under one hue" as a means to force Mississippi State to change to plum or wine.
Auburn will be next. Not because of the actual school colors of course, but because auburn as a name of a color is too close for comfort. 12th man, maroon carrots etc ... all part of aggie strategery.
It doesn't look as bad as it sounds. Certainly not the top of the skill scale, but it's not the worst either.

The Big Ten is “strongly considering” removing its requirement for league teams to play a Power 5 nonconference team, starting in 2024, sources told Action Network. Big Ten teams also would be allowed to continue scheduling Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) opponents, sources said.
In 2024, the Big Ten grows to a 16-team league with the additions of USC and UCLA. Although the league’s scheduling format has not been officially determined, the Big Ten is expected to continue with a nine-game league schedule “unless something crazy happens,” a source said.
If the change is made, Big Ten teams could still schedule games against Power 5 non-conference opponents, but it would no longer be required.
This season, Michigan is the only Big Ten school that did not schedule a Power 5 nonconference opponent (the second consecutive season UM didn’t schedule a Power 5 nonconference team). Only three programs — Northwestern, Ohio State and Rutgers — scheduled an FCS opponent in 2023.
Shouldn't Michigan get some kind of penalty for this? Or is this rule optional?

People bitching about lack of prime time games is laughable....Texans have been absolute dog shit. Why do we deserve any prime time games? We have to earn our way back up so let's do that and not bitch about lack of prime time slots for the worst team in the league
Is that even possible in the near future?

I don’t remember Houston ever having more than one prime time game per year, even when they were a playoff team or coming off a division championship. Stinks for Houston they the NFL amends its rule when the Texans are at rock bottom.
Conversely, even when the Cowboys are down they seem to get at least 3. Green Bay hasn’t looked crappy on paper in 20 years, but this year, a Packers team that may be shitty has FIVE prime time games. They couldn’t clip one of those off in favor Texans-Panthers, Texans-Browns, or Texans-Broncos?
I've been wondering the same thing recently. Why is it that one team can have 5 prime time games? There has to be some reason. I don't know the rules very well. Just like football

There's so much talk about it that I already want to see the result. Personally I think all the changes are for the better. Whether it is or not, time will tell.
