Nice clickbait title. This is a public waterway. Not a private pond on the Obama estate. Just so happens his estate fronts this waterway. This is no different than a paddle boarder drowning on the Laguna Madre.

Well, the call came from his house. And the deceased is 43 yo black man on Martha’s Vineyard. I’m going to guess he was familiar with the Obamas.

Is someone stopping you, or are you just here to run your mouth and threadshit?

I’m stopping myself. The point is there’s no “apolitical” thread about politicians being crooks or douchebags. Implying one side is uniquely crooked is dumb and the DT forum doesn’t need to be flooded by threads about politicians on both sides doing dirty shit. Grow up.

So my family and some friends of ours are heading to town in a couple weeks, and because my wife and her friend are basic, all they want to do is drink margaritas on a Riverwalk patio. Fully aware that the best Mexican is elsewhere in town, which Mexican place on the Riverwalk is the most tolerable?

If you can stomach ubering 5 mins off the Riverwalk for one meal, the best patio/margarita time is probably La Fonda on Main. Classic SA/Tex Mex vibes, good food, drink options. Every out of towner I’ve pointed there is very pleased. Get reservation for outside.

I’ve skimmed some of these tokenization posts but haven’t read them in full so I’m probably way off here. What I gather is all these posts are stating blockchain technology has a definite use going forward but not necessarily a bunch of scam crypto coins. Is that correct?  Because I can agree with blockchain itself being useful.

It’s all another version of the same trope that first popped up in corporate circles years ago, “blockchain, not bitcoin”.

Your personal experience is definitely the barometer we should use to judge such matters.  I'll call Hulu and let them know to just shut it down.

    Thanks.

How high is Hulu on your streaming service list?

Our house it’s behind Netflix, Prime, HBO Max, Disney

This episode of It's Always Sunny was released in 2017. A few seasons later, a character says the N-word in the same episode that the gang is in mediation over another character's use of "f-g-ot." They also have had blackface more than once. The show is still going, and the worst they've faced is that the blackface episodes aren't on Hulu, but can be found elsewhere (I don't agree with that decision btw), and some online criticisms from usual sources. Also, have you seen any South Park episodes in recent years?

Fair points. I had forgotten about South Park. I’ll say cable TV is a different ballgame than big screen movies. The mob is very capricious. Hard to tell when they’ll pivot. I think South Park creators have always had a fuck you attitude that has helped minimize blowback.

You realize Hulu has 50 million subscribers, right? That's more than Comcast and DTV combined.

that’s great. I’m pretty sure I’m one of them for whatever reason. Can’t remember the last time I watched it.

Blazing Saddles could absolutely be made today. It's context was mocking racism, not exacerbating it, or using it in a cruel and hateful manner. Have you seen Mel Brooks' History of the World Part II series released a few months ago on Hulu? All sorts of race and ethnicity based humor, and I think pretty good (not as good as the original movie, but very enjoyable).

Hoo boy. Agree to disagree. We don’t do a lot of nuance nowadays. The quicksand scene, the sheriff is near, #6 dance, you said rape twice etc etc.

I have not seen the new History of the World so I could be wrong. Given that it’s on Hulu, not many others have seen it either.
