My guess too. Pretty easy to reenter when you haven't even been on campus.
I’m going with the LB xfer from Bama. He’s 3rd string now plus overweight.

Brooks makes the most sense. Wasn’t it mentioned on here he was considering the portal at the end of the 2022 season and there was some disconnect between the staff and his dad?
I agree Brooks seems most likely. There’s been speculation Sark may look for a corner in the portal going back to the first window. I think the kid from Arizona might have scheduled a visit and backed out. Gerry also mentioned corner recently.

He committed to CU
I hope he bounces back from his injury and has a good season at CU.

Who's surprised
I’m surprised that’s all thus far. Going to be interesting to see if more quality players hop in this year compared to last April:

He would be the best player in the secondary next season at Texas so other than NIL $$$ being limited I don’t know why Texas wouldn’t pursue him. It’s prob a long shot anyway.

Yes, but, Bobby needed a a recruiting guy on his show. He’s obviously not as polished as Gerry was, but compared to some of the heavy-breathers who populate the 995er market, I don’t think he’s too bad.
He’s clearly not GH but he’s steadily improving and getting more comfortable. Give him some time.

It would be nice if they could send a DT as well.

I think Auburn had the lead already so this just makes them the clear favorite. But hey Texas should continue to hang around and see what happens especially given the history of the the Auburn coach.

Two deep of Williams, Watts, Taaffe, and I guess Filsaime. Maybe Jordan.
Burton reported Jelani McDonald moved to Safety.

Notice how he doesn't mention KJ Lacey being committed to Texas as part of the draw of going there.
Alabama or Auburn, and I think they could both flip to Auburn on the same day.
He did mention the QB room at Texas and with him reclassifying Quinn and Arch would be at QB the next 3 years and he likely goes to the NFL after that.

Evan Stewart has 6 TDs in two years at A&M. Matthew Golden has 15 TDs in that time.
It’s been reported he works out with Quinn during the offseason. So they already have chemistry. Just saying.

I assumed the reason Neyor hadn't seen the field since the season opener against Rice was becuz of the starters & depth UT has at WR, that the staff was in no rush to play Neyor & were content to wait till '24 to go all-in with Neyor as a starter.
But a couple weeks ago, Ketch & Anwar mentioned on a livestream that Neyor hadn't been seeing the field becuz he's in the doghouse. And now, Yesterday on a IT livestream, Gerry said that he expects Neyor to grad transfer after this season.
I hope Sark convinces him to stay.
This would be his 2nd xfer so he will have to graduate or sit out a year. I hope he gets fully healthy and back to where he was pre injury but he’s clearly not there yet.

Colin is aware that when other kids go to the podium everyone already knows where they are going. He has given kids a blue printed of how it is done but most lack the discipline. He probably has most people around him in the dark of what he has already decided to do.
I think Colin has the advantage of being a high profile prospect at a school loaded with talent that nobody wants to piss off so schools keep it quiet until the last minute. I don’t think it’s a case where only a handful of people know.
I do wonder if there’s any last minute NIL changes significant enough to cause him to reconsider. I don’t know how much that happens leading up to a decision.

And for your second post, why don't you share what you heard that convinced you?
To be clear it’s not just what I heard it’s also about credibility. It was credible enough for me to feel like guys I respect like Gerry H who have sources inside the program are wrong on this one. That’s about all I can say at this point.

I know a national writer for one of the large 9.95ers (not Rivals). He has a history with UT athletics and has covered UT football in prior work. I asked him today if it’ll be Texas or LSU for Simmons. Without hesitation, he said LSU.
I hope he’s wrong, but he’s been spot on in past conversations.
I hate to say this in my first post but I expect LSU as well. I don’t have inside sources and rarely have info the 9.95ers don’t have. This is one of those rare times where his name randomly came up and what I heard was sufficient to convince me. I expect the picks to start rolling in for LSU soon. Still plenty of time before signing day and I still expect Sark to bring in a great class.

Also keep in mind we went after the UW cb that ended up at Oregon in the 1st window so the coaches were clearly looking at upgrading at that position.
