  1. Thanks, I'm going to post a PSA on the football board to let people know the Championship match is on ESPN+. I'm a bit chapped about this as all the other matches leading up to today were on the regular ESPNs. Now they go to the PLUS and they're not really showing anything at 2:00 today anyway.

  2. Will there be a stream set up for viewing?, or do I have to get involved with ESPN+. I'm a poor (really just tightwad) and don't want to spend the 11 bucks until end of baseball season. youtube maybe?

That reminds me I can stop the Sling Blue subscription until next football season.

  3.  I can see KVUE through the OTA HDTV antenna. I also saw live UW vs. Oregon game last night streaming through Sling on ESPN3. Woke up and saw replay of the last half of the game from when I dozed off.

If you have a antenna you'll be able to watch game through KVUE tv 24.1.  Sling will show through ESPN3 I'm sure, however, I bet if your provider is in dispute with Disney they going to cut you off. Alternative might be to look for a trial basis offer on some other streaming service for a week or so. Small Leaf brand antenna is about 20 bucks at best buy.

Beer joint will have it, but that is the fun expensive option!

  4. Cut the cord years ago. Bought a TABLO and 3TB hard drive to record all kinds of good shit. Lots of programming available free OTA. With Tablo I can record lots of stuff and blow through the commercials. Also have Tablo account that auto blows through commercials. I stream Sling blue and orange about 6-7 months a year for LHN and use ESPN+ for about a month during baseball season. I see all the games and it's a lot more cost effective than old ass cable type stuff. Google Fiber is my Internet provider.

BTW, OTA antenna has better picture quality than streaming as there is little to no degradation straight from the broadcast tower.

    Just saying....

All this talk about Dance Across Texas/Midnight Rodeo, were you guys in your 20s? For us who were in our 30s in the 90s, Dallas, and New West were the pussy palaces. Especially for late 20 to early 40s, rocky mountain jean wearing, usually divorced, one night stands. After New West shut down, then it was Ropers.

Is this the place that used to be the "Back 40" in the same strip with the Food Land?

Huh? Am I having flash backs?

  6. Who do we want to win this game? I thought Washington should win out for us to be in the CFP. U-DUB winning out would kick Oregon to the curb and we'd jump them. Free shoes U has to lose one of their remaing two that they can lose yet.

If WSU wins, does that kick out the PAC champion from the CFP?

  7. All you gamblers out there, take this advise from one who has been there.

when there is a home dog in a hard ass rivalry game....Take the dog and the points at home!

It has to be a blood rival game and at the end of the year. All kinds of strange shit happens at the end of the year, and those points pull you over the hump.

I been betting this for 40+ years and it is 100% gauranteed 70% of the time!

Somebody do the math tomorrow and pimp slap me.

3 Non-Conference games Texas avg. 5 @ 40/gm. Opponent for those 3 games had 6 @ 48/gm. Bama screwed the average though as they had 10 penalties for 90 yds.

The 6 conference games Texas avg. 6.2 @ 53/gm.  Opponent for those 6 games had 3.7 @ 26. The averages start diverging after the Kansas game.

    Okla game 4/30   Tx 9/70

    Hous game 1/15   Tx 6/60

    BYU game   3/20  Tx 6/40

Kan St. game 7/50  Tx 10/67

    UPDATE

    TCU game 6/51    Tx 7/59

Current for the 7 Conference games Opponent avg.= 4/30 per game.  UT avg.= 6.3/50 per game.

BTW, Only Baylor game did opponent have more penalties than Tx. for conference play.

other data I gathered while going through the stats PDF,

For the away games (5) attendence, average is about 67,000. Oklahome (Cotton Bowl) and Alabama had good numbers of 92,100 and 100,077 respectivley.

The 3 conference games of Baylor, UH, and TCU averaged about 47,600. I expect going to SEC will increaase away average by 40,000 or more.

  9. Why should a Federal Court get involved in a conference matter? Gee Mo Neddie, are these not grown ups that have a conference, conference rules, etc. HOAs seem to operate for the most part.

If I were the conference commissioner I would respond to Michigan's insertion comment as "You better believe I'm inserting myself in this issue. I am the commissioner! ".
