Are they just being willfully oblivious about Ohio State? The highest functioning NIL programs are Texas, Oregon and Ohio State. Then there are tranches below that. Ohio State won Downs over Georgia by making an offer that Georgia couldn't even approach. They also went with a shutdown offer to keep Sayin from doing any kind of longer term search. Yet this guy is talking Georgia NIL? Okay.

I didn’t even consider Georgia NIL as a power player alongside Texas, Ohio State, Oregon, MAYBE Ole Miss. I just assume guys go to Georgia on a discount to win and go to the NFL (like the Saban discount).

This is literally what Nahlin wrote:

Arizona defensive tackle Tiaoalii Savea visited over the weekend but left uncommitted he tells IT. As for other potential visits, he says he's still figuring that out. The senior originally started his career at UCLA while Johnny Nansen was there. When Nansen moved on to Arizona, Savea followed. We'll see if he follows him again.

We know Texas needs another defensive tackle but Savea not committing on his visit is somewhat interesting. The staff could be monitoring other situations to see if any more options shake loose.

So in no way implying that Savea wasn’t offered. Nice to know this forum has some illiterates!

Im not saying Broughton didnt get blown up in the run game this year, like he did on a consistent basis last season.
But , it had to happen less, a lot less, or there would have been screams of bloody murder from the hole he was creating in the run D.
And thats improvment, which i know we all hope he can and will build on going into next dlseason.
Nobody saw Sweat stepping up like he did. I know Broughton doesn't have the same raw physical  gifts Sweat does. But i think he has enough that we will all be pleased if he has a similar developmental improvement that he had this last season.
And i think thats the longest post ive made in years.

Maybe you missed it, but we lost the guy who developed Sweat and Murphy and still havent hired a replacement. But other than that I see what you're saying and hope somebody steps up big time next season.

I feel like Torre Becton deserves some credit for Sweat and Murphy’s development too (and Ojomo, Coburn). Since he switched to the team to the Olympic/NFL-style weightlifting program after 2021, players have looked a bit more “SEC-like.”

I think another year of Becton’s S&C program will help Collins, Broughton, Bledsoe, Bryant, Mitchell, and (hopefully) Savea + another transfer out. Plus, practicing against one of the nation’s best offensive line won’t hurt either. Iron sharpens iron. Plus, plus, Sark has largely hit it out of the park with his assistant coaching hires… losing Bo sucks, but whoever replaces him should be trusted to help further develop our guys.

At the end of the day, if a few of our guys take that next step physique-wise like Murphy, Sweat, Ojomo, and Coburn did, I don’t think we’ll see as drastic of a fall-off in the IDL as many think we will.

  4. According to Feldman Johnny Nansen doesn’t appear to be on the list of Arizona’s next HC candidates.

Arizona’s defensive players tweeted out #HireNansen last night, so they clearly want to play for the guy. If I were Sark/Nansen I’d look at that and target ILB Jacob Manu, IDL Bill Norton, and (to a lesser extent) IDL Tyler Manoa.
