Maybe remember your login credentials next time?

Meh. Couldn't remember the log in name from my other 8 credit card accounts

If you didn't have the correct login name, how did it know to lock your account?

  2. Not strictly EPL, but a little early for the cup threads.

Turner announces final details on the Champions/Europa broadcasts.

In a seismic shift in how consumers are offered UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches in the United States, the only Europa League game featured on television will be the final (on TNT and B/R Live on May 29). Meanwhile, TNT will televise 46 UEFA Champions League games throughout the season. That’s in stark contrast to FOX Sports’ coverage of the Champions League where they showed 146 games per season on television. For the Europa League, FOX Sports had 205 Europa League matches on TV compared to TNT’s one.

  3. On the old site, I mentioned I was looking for a new boarding place for Carly because I needed a last minute Christmas reservation when our plans changed.

A member gave me a tip about a new place, and it has been awesome. Pups & Pals Pet Lounge. We have boarded Carly exclusively there since then. The staff there is awesome, and they post pics on FB every day of all dogs playing in the yard. (or, in the case of Carly, chililng out and judging all the idiots running around.) Great for you and your family to see them when you are on vacation.

They are opening a new location in SW Austin at 290/1826 in October. They just closed on the property and are building it out. I highly recommend it.

It was called St. Michaels when I was a Longhorn "scholar".  Great pitchers of margaritas!

Interested in hearing more about this. I started at UT in 91, knew it was always Dog and Duck. Finally found that it opened in 1990. Google isn’t finding anything about St Michaels. Or they are way deep in search results.

  5. Was in New Orleans with the family. Went to several places, but the family was there and they were so bored at the record stores after 5 minutes. I need to go back by myself so I can really dig through the Jazz/NOLA music. Need to educate myself.

One place was just a random boutique my wife wanted to go on Magazine. They had a small section, picked up High n Dry first US pressing.

Second was Peaches. It’s in an old Woolworth’s. Much like Waterloo or a smaller Amoeba. Great selection, could have spent hours there. Huge selection of Beatles, picked up The Beatles Again, the first label print of Hey Jude before they decided to rename it Hey Jude. Different label numbers on record and cover. Not really rare, but cool to find.

Finally was Euclid Records. That place is amazing. Upstairs they have 100s of boxes of 45s, sorted by label and other criteria. I barely knew where to begin in the whole place. Next time I will go by myself and budget hours of time. And there is a delicious pizza place next door. It’s appropriately called Delicious Pizza.

Picked up Big Sur Folk Festival 1970.

Dude you coulda gone literally a beer-bottle-throw down a dirt road and got real boudin.

Been eating so good all weekend in NOLA, car needed fuel, and family wanted to eat Arby’s. Fine with me.

Plus, Arby’s is delicious every once in awhile.
