Here is the list of Bo Davis recruits who have made an impact, or even played much, since he arrived with Sark:
I mean, he did a good job coaching up Giles's recruits, and I really hope January or someone breaks the O-fer streak, but for a guy that has/had a reputation as a war daddy recruiter, it's been pretty bleak. When you have been outrecruited by Oscar Giles, it is time to look in the mirror.
So on the topic of transfers, fuck that guy.

This thread has made me die a little inside. More than a little. High school class of '96 here.

He is worried about coaching continuity and leaning toward Florida? Wow. That's a choice.

Are there updated measurements on Zina (height weight)? 6-4 210 seems old.

OK, so have we ruled out the possibility that Elko got hungry and ate Klein and that's why nobody can find him?
This possibility can never be ruled out.

2016. Strong signed Jordan Elliott and bunch of bread, and this board proceeded to jerk itself into a frenzy about the prowess of Charlie Strong as a closer and identifier of talent. Dark days
We also got star SDE Malcolm Roach who started for Texas at *checks notes* middle linebacker.

I’ve been struggling to keep up this week so I may have missed it, but what is “Orange House?” Is this Nahlin thinking he’s being clever and trying to make fetch happen?
That goes back to the days of the GoBig12 boards. Not from Nahlin, of course--he had/has nothing to do with it.

He's fine as a player, but he was overranked and that's continued to be a problem. He thinks he's better than he is, he's on his own snap count for plays per game. He's softer than kitten shit. He has no interest in conforming to a team's culture. Let him go merc it up somewhere else. I will be disappointed if Texas does anything there other than lob in the courtesy phone call.
This. Wherever Nolan goes, he will be expensive. And if you want to build and maintain a winning culture, the team needs to see guys getting paid for doing things the right way.
Worthy is expensive, but he works hard, plays hurt (even when he shouldn't), and produces on the field. Bijan Robinson was the same.
If the team sees expensive players taking plays off, or running off the field every other play, what motivation do they have to do things the right way? The right way is hard, and painful. Being soft is a lot easier.
By all means, we should pay up for warriors. Pussies like Nolan can get fucked.

So long Bison Tits, good luck to Klein completely rebuilding the line in the portal

He was the perfect Aggie. I like to mock them as much as anyone, but this one hurts.

His season went off the tracks in October. Actually makes him perfect for ATM.

Makes it even more likely it's their surprise game. They do shit like that (like when they'd quit for the year and beat LSU like a red headed step child last year) all the time- it's part of their charm. I'm gonna put 50 on it at my +140 and root like hell for them to lose. And if they win, take the wife out to a nice seafood dinner at the red lobster off the highway. We are high rollers like that.
ATM has usually had a game like that every year, but it is usually at home. (LSU last year, Bama in 2021, etc.) When was their last upset on the road?

7 minutes ago, Tree Fidy said:I also was able to be on the field before the Texans game. Long story short, my wife and MIL stayed at the Houstonian one weekend to get away and Rick Smith (ex GM) was pretty much hitting on my wife. She called me from the pool and I told her who he was and to play along while slipping in how much our kids love the Texans and have always wanted to be on the field. She did great - Administrative assistant reached out and sent us 4 club seats along with pre-game sideline passes. And before one of you socially awkward dumbasses ask for pics...yeah, fuck off (in the nicest way possible of course).
We'll just get the pics from Rick Smith.

Westlake up 34-0 on del valle at half
del valle hasn’t made it past their 30 yard line, no first downs
one play of the entire first half was on westlake’s side of the field. Del valle punted and Westlake returned it for a touchdown but got called for a block in the back, placing it on the Westlake 45. They scored 3 plays later.
Worst offensive performance since Austin High vs Westlake in 1994.

Maybe being clutch as a kicker at Texas is a pre-ordained right for our fanbase, like hiring good coaches at OSU or having great QBs at USC.
"You will be punished for years, decades even, sometimes, and forced to wander the wilderness of CFB for those stretches. That said, when everything is on the line for your team, your kickers will convert at a rate of 99% of the time. Good luck." --Football Zeus

May the guy who has never resigned himself to violating a HIPPO at closing time throw the first stone. I refuse to be a hypocrite on this matter. On to the next topic.

Ton of video in this thread, from Baylor standpoint but still worthwhile
The reason the TE can't get to Bush in time is Collins immediately blows up his guy and pushes him into the TE coming across. A lot of winning happened on that play.
