"Dominated" is a strong word when they still gave up touchdown drives of 80 and 75 yards in the second half.  "Less awful" might be more like it.

Giving up one drive in a half is very good. The other "drive" you mentioned was a single busted play.

But im not so much talking about that. Im talking about rewatching it last night. Their O's confidence and ability was completely gone. We bullied them up front, LBs played very sharp, CBs had an OK quarter but play up front masked any issues.

And MSST's offense does not suck. They're not great and we really fucked up to give them 38 last night, but we did find it eventually.

  2. I've made peace with us definitely not replacing Arch. Run game needs to improve, which should lead to more pass blocking success, and he has got to limit these throwing blunders - he has shown he can no so much better than what we saw at UK, but we've got to help him and he's got to help himself.

If we can do that, our defense will be well rested enough to keep us in any game. Except maybe Georgia.

Arch isn't leaving. The Manning family plan was to have him sit two years and play two. They're not changing course because of fan/internet noise. He's been not great and has acknowledged that. If season plays out as is, I do think we'll go get OL help for next year. Only question is can they fix enough now.

You dont think sark has issues?  This is where we differ.  A lot of this is on sark.

If you had Arch coming in and this "#1 season" ahead of you, you have to hit the portal and shell out for two badass OL with experience. Going in with an inexperienced OL to this year was a major mistake.

Otherwise, I really don't blame Sark. These WRs are so fucking wide open it's hard to believe, and the missed throws are equally hard to believe. Unless you're saying it's on Sark to keep playing Arch (which I imagine there's sports-politics pressure to do so, so to speak), I think Sark is doing well.

  4. We escaped. That's good. You can make the excuse to not play the backup in this game bc he hasn't 'prepared as the starter'. But this week, he needs to at least split time with first team.

Whatever the argument was against playing the backup quarterback, I don't know what it is anymore

  5. UGA fans watching the Beck train derail while no longer being on that train must be a soothing experience.

Toney for Miami is unreal. And Bell for Louisville also unreal. Really solid viewing experience to watch them go after it, props to Louisville - got it done on the road. Outstanding

  6. Dude had a great game. He's putting it together.

Don't want to be hyperbolic here but The Legend of Vince really only lasted about 1.5 seasons. That first half of 04 was rough, had mfers calling for Chance Mock and other various horseshit

  7. I'm surprised, with Arch on deck, that we rolled the dice on this OL instead of hitting the portal for proven players and buying them out.

Not that it would matter, as Arch plays bad when OL is good and Caldwell threw the best pass of the season in his one chance tonight, but still, FLA just crushing us with 4 DL is not what you might expect.
