Trying to be fair here- if what Herman told the NFL scouts was true, would it still be attempted backstabbing and him being a selfish bastard trying to sabatoge (sic) him?

No if it's all true then it's fair. Some would say that a coach should always only reveal the positives of a player to get their guys to go as high as they can but then they risk losing the respect of scouts for future picks and others would say that the coach should tell the god honest truth and that would only help get scout's respect so that in the future scouts would trust his evaluations even more so. I'm assuming that because multiple players have seemingly reached out in support of Kraken that they all feel like this might have happened to them for leaving early which is a big coincidence.

Were the criticisms fair? What did he say? The devil is in the details.

All our guys slid based on their expectations. Are they looking for answers that don't include "the tape" or "testing numbers and measurements?"

No one will ever know if they were fair or not unless a scout themselves reveals that information. We're all going to assume what we wish to be true.

Like what, exactly? I find it quite hard to believe that Herman is just going around talking shit about players constantly. That's fucking retarded. This is a bunch of butt hurt Charlie Strong players that can see that now that Herman has taken over, Texas is on an upward trajectory the likes of which Strong couldn't sniff.

My assumption is that he bad mouthed the players to scouts given Slater's comment. Key word = assumption which is what we're all doing here.

The problem is airing dirty laundry publically, which harms the program and your old teammates. Also using the Foremans as an example is just silly, D'Onta is the dude, but his dad and brother are boneheads.

Agreed on all counts in your statement. But a lot of people here are acting like it's out of the realm of possibilities that Herman would ever have done such a thing. Put yourself in his shoes though. The guy who was supposed to have your back attempted to backstab you and might have cost you some money on something you've worked for your whole life. Then you have to sit there and watch the whole world treat him like a god that can do no wrong when you know that he's really a selfish bastard who would go so far as to try to sabatoge you to scouts just because he felt slighted by you leaving early. He wants the whole world to know who Tom really is. Calling Tom and just talking it out with him won't reveal that to the whole world. I'm not saying he was right in what he did I'm just trying to explain his possible thought process.

good lord some of you are only capable of viewing this situation through your own selfish recruiting prism. deshon was just in town buying dinner for the dbs. he still cares about UT. maybe just maybe herman is in the wrong here. i know that's difficult to swallow for us fans but let's step back and look at him getting a cosign from conner, the foreman's, jane slater, herman's history with player relationships.

Exactly. Take off your burnt orange shades and use some fucking context clues. Hell even Malik tweeted something back to Deshon that wasn't exactly a refutement.

    Neither can you. Nobody can.

To be fair, the steakhouses are probably not using a sous vide technique. I'm assuming they all use a broiler. Maybe cooking it very slowly via sous vide allows even cooking even with the bone. I'm skeptical as well since I would assume you'd have to apply temperature with a gradient in order to cook the bone side at a higher temp in order to achieve an even cook but I can't say that sous vide wouldn't do the trick since i've never tried it.

  7. I do 3-2-1 at 225-250 with Stubbs BBQ rub. I add brown sugar, honey and butter during the wrap. Then I glaze with sweet baby rays bbq sauce when I unwrap. Let them cool a bit before cutting so they don’t fall apart during slicing. I’ve had many people say they are the best ribs they’ve ever had. They are on the sweet side which is what I prefer.

Do you think any of us needed you to waste  space on this thread with this take? Your view on things like this are a fucking given.

That's ironic because you could say the same thing about your response to a satyanash post.

  9. Also get you a 5 gallon plastic bucket and put a kitchen trash bag in it to use to dump charcoal and grease from your WSM so that you don't make a mess in your backyard. Once it's full you tie it up and throw in the trash and start again.

  10. Did you forget what conference we play in?
Four yards and a cloud of dust works great until you get called for holding, or have to come back from 2 scores down.

Doesn’t matter. Look at how the Ohio State vs. Oregon championship played out. I’d always choose smash mouth football over finesse.

Is anyone really getting excited about the possibility of an Alabama “student athlete” transfer getting accepted into a Texas grad program? I’d be truly shocked if it happened.

I was under the impression that Chris Del Conte and Herman were going to or have done something to make that process "easier"... am I misremembering? Note that I don't know how much power they would have to do something like that.
