When 2021 Hardin HS (TN) tight end Hudson Wolfe received an offer from Texas A&M in mid-February, he looked forward to having the opportunity to visit College Station at some point to see what A&M had to offer.

That opportunity came this weekend with the four-star tight end on fall break and his team enjoying a bye week.

“The environment was fantastic,” Wolfe told GigEm247. “The gameday atmosphere is as good as anywhere I’ve been so far.”

Wolfe arrived in College Station on Friday and was able to see Texas A&M go through its final preparations before hosting Alabama. He also had the chance to spend a bit of time with A&M offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Darrell Dickey learning more about the offense and the way A&M uses tight ends.

“I spent time with Coach Dickey on Friday at the walkthrough,” Wolfe said. “He talked about the offense and how they utilized the tight end. We also talked about how they have had elite tight ends in the past and how I could fit into what they do offensively.”

The 6-foot-6, 243-pound tight end also spent some time on both Friday and Saturday getting to know A&M tight ends coach Joe Jon Finley.

“Coach Finley was great,” Wolfe said. “We talked briefly on Friday. We had much more time together on Saturday. He told me about the current tight ends and how they use them. We talked about the mental and physical demands of the position. We also talked about me visiting again after the season to really spend quality time with the staff. I also had the privilege of meeting coach Finley’s wife.”

Wolfe said he has been in contact with A&M for a while, but they have certainly been talking more following the visit. The four-star tight end added while a lot of programs have been making him a priority, the four he is in the most contact with are Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Ohio State.

The Savannah, Tennessee native left a few weeks open in the second half of the year to maintain flexibility and be able to take a few more trips before the season is over. Wolfe plans to be at the Alabama game against LSU on Nov. 9, in addition to a pair of rivalry games when Mississippi State hosts Ole Miss on Nov. 28 followed by Auburn and Alabama on Nov. 30.

Wolfe ranks as the No. 6 tight end prospect and also No. 6 prospect in Tennessee, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings.

The Texas A&M Aggies have added the Prairie View A&M Panthers to their 2021 football schedule, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the athletic contest agreement was obtained from Prairie View A&M University via a state of Texas Public Information Act request.

Texas A&M will host Prairie View A&M at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, on November 20, 2021. The Aggies will pay the Panthers a $500,000 guarantee for the contest, according to the copy of the contract.

Prairie View A&M is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). In their first and only meeting with Texas A&M in 2016, the Panthers fell to the Aggies 67-0 in College Station.

The addition of Prairie View A&M tentatively completes Texas A&M’s non-conference football schedule for the 2021 season. The Aggies are scheduled to open the season at home against the Kent State Golden Flashes on Sept. 4, play at the Colorado Buffaloes on Sept. 11, and then host the New Mexico Lobos on Sept. 18.

In SEC action in 2021, Texas A&M is scheduled to host Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, and South Carolina at Kyle Field and travel to play Arkansas (in Arlington, TX), LSU, Missouri, and Ole Miss.

Prairie View A&M has also tentatively completed their non-conference slate for 2021. Other opponents scheduled for the Panthers include the Incarnate Word Cardinals on the road on Sept. 11 and the Houston Baptist Huskies at home on Sept. 18.

Call it whatever the hell you want but it's all the same thing.   Today's cool phrase for bag is guerilla tactics.  And did aggy get AP?  Didn't think so. So how is lightning going to strike twice for them? Oh, he visited on another's dime and then committed elsewhere = advantage aggy.   Source in Key Largo: Bag hag?  This queen, Looch, is a dope.

We’ll win going away if we get them down by 17+ again. Hurts is not a good passer, and, while he’s a dynamic runner, he’s not nearly the house call waiting to happen on any down that Kyler was. And his OL is vastly inferior to last year’s addition.
