  1. Naw, we heard a lot of noise Bru had second thoughts about flipping two weeks in.

Just came back to close this account out, read a little and didn’t like Scott’s name attached to an untruth.

    Good luck.

They are in a war with each other.

If you want the Scoop on SC go to Scott Schrader.

USC promised Bru McCoy the starting WR position something that wasn't going to happen at Texas.

Plus there was the spring game. I think McCoy's father was not impressed.

Thing is very few WRs are drafted in the first round anymore. So I think his Dad is idiotic to think a 6-3 WR that runs a 4.5+ 40 will be drafted in the first round.

That’s bullshit, with a capital B.  Clay never offered him a starting WR job,  Graham Harrell is in full charge of the offense, not Coach Helton.  Amon-Ra, Tyler, Micheal and Kyle Ford have something to say about that.

Scott NEVER said Bru was offered the starting job, Scott is a personal friend for many years, my Twitter account is basically advertising his site.

Also false is Bru’s dad not being impressed with the Horns spring game.  None of this has anything to do with the University of Texas football program or the team.

    Are you Maya?

  3. My friend, Scott Schrader recorded this on Wednesday.

Bru committed to USC on his official visit, but he did love Texas.  Contrary to what that closing guy was saying, the players and recruits love Clay Helton....while some of your Texas players were not too complimentary about yours, just didn’t want to say that till confirmed by several sources.

    Hook ‘Em!

What are your thoughts on the situation at USC?

A mess.  Keeping Clay Helton is important to the players, recruits and the families, so Lynn Swann is standing by  Clay by not making a HC change, but many feel that Lynn mandated the offensive overhaul.

The fan base base is imploding because we’re entitled little bitches.

I believe you are correct but I don’t get the need for drama by the McCoys.  I guess they just really want to have the little 30 second hat deal on TV between punts at the all star game.

Bru and his family genuinely love Texas, just loves USC more, that’s a fact.  Recruiting is fluid, kids can change like the wind, so all I’m sharing is what I hear right now.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Texas came into the picture when the coaching situation and poor season at USC came into play, and Texas hit it out of the park.  USC appears to have eased some concerns by Bru and his family.

If anything changes, I’ll say it.

I know this much, @TrojanPrincess says that USC players and fans are in love with Clay Helton and what he’s bringing to the program. Recruits are said to be totally vibing with him, so I’m sure Bru McCoy is going to remain super enthusiastic about playing for him there.

Would still be a shock if Bru did not commit to USC, hasn't changed.  He did like Texas, tho.

@TrojanPrincess Who is your favorite USC journalist or writer or twitter persona?

I focus on recruiting, not most of the fluff pieces writer by the majority of sports writers.  Scott Schrader is the best at this, followed by Biggins.

This Texas kid is the best sports writer, IMO,  Mike Piellucci.

USC had the #1 and #3 ILBs in the country along with another 4* ILB in their 2018 class, and they already have another committed for 2019. 3/4 are Poly.

    Share you fucks.

Hey, you got  De'Gabriel.  We signed 5 LBs in 2018, and one athlete that can play the position in Clancy's system.

we have as many Poly players on the team as Utah.

It is going to be interesting to watch how the Helton regime unfolds, and how that impacts USC recruiting. Like Texas, USC is just simply going to get some guys, even when they’re disappointing or flat out suck. Looking at the rosters from the 90’s always clearly illustrates that for both clubs, if anyone ever has doubt.

But here we are.  USC has resurged, even if the national excitement and hype aren’t quite there. They look like a top 10 program and when that is the case, SC gets who they want in SoCal. Right? Right.

Word is, and this will never come from USC circles, that the players and recruits don’t just love Helton and his staff (besides Martin). If he stumbles, and the scuttlebutt on Helton is true, does USC just get all the guys they plan to take in a given year?

I don’t know, but my thinking is informed by someone who runs camps and has spent time recently on the west coast. I’d like to hear a nonemotional opinion on this if that’s possible.

That's bullshit, plain and simple.  Clay may not be the best coach in the country, but one thing for sure, the players, their family and recruits love the man, there are countless videos, interviews of players that voluntarily bring up Clay and how much they love him as a father figure.  They call him a players coach.  He closes about as well as Pete did.

There will always be a few over the years who may not love him,  but they are few and far between...Pitman's dad complaining about his son's playing time, even though he has been out due to injury?

I've actually been around these kids, tailgate with their parents, attend all the football functions open to fans, and I have a friend who is the publisher of a  USC recruiting site (NOT Rivals) with deep ties to the program, kids and the parents trust him.  Scott held on to a video since mid October last year of Chris Steele stating he was committing to USC.

Here is one video I can share that is not premium, two players talking about Coach Helton and what he means to them.

Don't know what you're talking about, nothing like what you claim stays quiet within USC circles. Your "source" sucks.

By the way, Ricks, Bru and others are part of a USC group text.

Your mom was pretty loyal to USC until she committed to me last night. I’m just saying, it’s possible.

Look, my mama passed away, I really don't get why these "your mama" jokes are bandied about outside of the west coast...where I come from, mamas are sacred.

call me whatever you wish, keep my momma out of your filthy mouth.

    TFB on Elias Ricks: http://texas.thefootballbrainiacs.com/2018/07/open-post-weekend-july-6th-8th/

    – Elias Ricks was one of a select few underclassmen competing at The Opening Finals the past week. He was named the MVP of his position group — as a Class of 2020 prospect — and received some unique news midway through the event.

Texas dished out an offer to the 5-star cornerback from California on Monday, which is an offer Ricks had quietly been anxious to pick up.

“They’ve been trying to get in contact with me for a while,” Ricks said. “(Texas commit) De’Gabriel (Floyd) has been pushing me a lot. I like Texas. It’s a good area. De’Gabriel talks about Texas. Bru McCoy likes Texas. Bryce Young likes Texas, so I might have to visit with them.”

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back from Los Angeles area powerhouse Mater Dei (Calif.) High School named LSU, Southern Cal, Alabama, Florida and Georgia as the schools pushing hardest for his services at the moment.

That could change now that he holds an offer from the Longhorns and aims to learn more about the program.

“I’m trying to find out more about the program, a little more about their defensive backs,” Ricks said. “I know they have good tradition. I remember watching the USC-Texas rivalry games.”

Ricks secured his offer during a conversation with Texas defensive backs coach Jason Washington, who praised the rising junior’s film while competing at The Opening Finals.

One topic breached was the fact that despite residing out on the West Coast, Ricks has family ties to the Lone Star State.

“I have family in Dallas, so it’s kind of close (to Austin),” Ricks said. “We talked about The Opening, how he loved how I played. I’m out here trying to work, focusing in on my technique and then after, we talked about The Opening, he offered me. We talked about how I got family out here, too, and that was good.”

Ricks is currently being pursued by a number of schools — both in- and out-of-state. He has no qualms about playing his college ball outside of California.

“I’m 100-percent open,” he stated. “Every school is the same despite area. If I got to go up to Florida, I’ll do it. Distance is not what I’m worried about.”

Ricks will trim his impressive offer sheet down to 10 come Christmas. He is tentatively planning to commit early, likely this time in 2019. After he wraps up his junior season, he’ll begin taking official visits in the spring and is targeting a July commitment date.

“I want to shut it down and focus on my senior season,” Ricks said. “I’ll get all my official visits out of the way after my junior season, then I want to commit.” – (Sam Spiegelman)

Hmmmm, funny because so has USC, from day one.  He has stated his preference at WR, so he is recruited primarily at that position.  Adoree’ Jackson is an example of a player playing both O and D at USC.
