     A few SWA questions:

    1) Is there a way to determine the age of the plan when you book your flight? It seems like damn near every SWA plane I've been on has been in service since the 80s.

    2) Quietest part of the plane? I sat in the first row on a flight to DC and it was deafening.

    3) When are their sales? I remember one in August maybe.

    3. They have 50% off rewards points right now through April 4th

  2. Just booked the Palazzo for Memorial Day weekend Friday - Monday. I’m pumped.  Friday 26 is my bday and the 28th (Sunday) is gf’s 30th.

so far only Bouchon, Lotus of Siam and Beauty and Essex are on repeat for meals from last year.  Need to see where else we go. Most likely will do Joe’s Sunday.

anybody here recommend Mayfair Supper Club?

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/13/politics/house-speaker-gop-motion-to-vacate/index.html

Some of the GOP want to reinstate the power to introduce a motion to vacate the Speaker, if McCarthy wants their vote for Speaker. This would give any House member the right to call for his ouster or re-vote whenever they're dissatisfied with McCarthy.

What's strange is that it seems like any member of Congress could call for a revote on McCarthy whenever they want. Even Democrats.  Given today's partisanship and more than one wacky member, I could understand not wanting any of the 435 members to call for a speaker revote every day.

Anything to take up time that isn’t spent passing meaningful legislation is ok in their book.

Don't hear a lot of conservatives crapping on Biden for gas prices lately. Gee I wonder why.

Because they’ve moved back to the border crisis

Lol I mean I'm not sure how to respond to this political grievancd without getting accused of CR'ing.

Oh no! A press release highlighting that this action, while routine, is the largest of it's kind so far! Someone stop this abuse of the press!!!

Did you actually think of anything that linked your post to inflation, or did you just want to post in your hugbox?

BRRRRRT certainly inflated the capital base, but inflation is outrunning monetary supply growth by a factor of 2-3x, and correlates more strongly with increases in corporate profits.

And dangit wouldn't ya know it, since the 2017 TCAJ there's even fewer drains to remove capital from the economy via corporate taxes. Which are of course at historic lows while profits are record high and wages are increasing slower than inflation for low income (read: hourly) workers.

I'm just saying, y'all are pretty eager to pick ONE thing that's still pretty recent as the cause of a long term problem that's been fucking coming for years since we never made any meaningful changes after 2008, and rolled back what we did put in place

CR or not, pinning our economic crisis solely on this administration is fucking bullshit.  Sorry the last administration fucked us over and that we had a world wide shutdown.  Y’all chucklefucks were celebrating the 2017 tax cuts even though report after report indicated it would screw us years down the line.

Bexar is 60-40 blue and probably getting bluer so that should be good news.

I voted at a public library off Kyle Seale/Hausman at 130 and the poll worker said they had already had over 600 people when they just barely got 600 for the presidential election for the first day.  Line was about 20-25 deep when I got there and up to about 35-40 by the time I left.

  8. I voted early today here in SA at a public library off Kyle Seale Pkwy.  I was surprised there was a line at 1:15 on the first day.  According to one of the workers, he stated that they were already at over 600 votes cast today at that location.  He said in 2020 they maybe got 600 in the whole first day.

Nobody outside aside from peeps from our local DA race.  I went straight ticket Dem because fuck abbott and all his little posse.
