It isn't that I single them out. It is that Macron makes tough statements that the facts don't support. It is just words. So the way it flows is that someone posts Macron tweets and everyone gets fired up and then I post chill the enthusiasm. The last time I posted on the subject was when Macron was shitting on Germany for not giving enough when the facts show that they have given a lot more total and a lot more by percentage GDP than France. If you want to cheer, cheer for:

Estonia certainly has my vote of praise, for more than one reason.

Juan Merchan, the judge, begins by saying Trump can have May 17 to attend the high school graduation of his youngest son, Barron. Trump had complained about not immediately being given permission. “I don’t think the May 17 date is a problem,” the judge says.

Oh great.  Now Trump HAS to go to Barron's graduation ceremony instead of playing golf.  That might be more punitive than the fines.

While it’s important to place the blame at the feet of Republicans, it is equally important to note that House Progressives and the Squad are joining forces with Mike Johnson to prevent a vote on a bill that their party supports and negotiated.

Katie Porter?  Damn.  I guess now I should be happy she lost in the Senate primary.

  4. In this day and age, I have to recognize that this could be a hoax.  But Eliot Higgins reposted it, so presumably there's something to it.

Just how much more obvious does it need to be stated?  This moron is a threat to the Republic.

Were they trying to keep the money in Europe?

Who can say?  But certainly some supporters here have in the US hyped up that 60% (or whatever the percentage was) of all Ukrainian aid was spent here in the US.  So playing it up as a "jobs program" may have placated some of their electorate sitting on the fence about the issue.

  6. Interestingly, a small part of the ammo shortage problem might attributed to European unwillingness to source ammo from outside of Europe.  Germany, Czechia and now France are among those willing to find the tools the Ukrainians need wherever they may be. Germany's looking to procure some from India.

  7. Artillery experts please chime in.  Can the submunitions be removed or replaced?  If so, I'm sure Ukraine would be more than willing to do the work of retooling the shells to their needed purpose.  AND it would get rid of ordinance that we would otherwise have to pay to dispose of anyway.  Win - Win.

Wait.  So states with higher relative numbers of undocumented immigrants get a slight bump in representation in the Electoral College.  States like Texas and Florida presumably.  And you want to get rid of that?  Be careful of what you wish for.  But by all means, continue.
