Michael Terry was ranked a 5* athlete, I imagine he'll get touches at RB, as will Ryan Niblett.  Between those two and the 2RB still on roster we will have 4 deep who can rush.  What i don't have calculated is if this game will violate any RS participation max, as that would alter things.  Overall Im really looking forward to a bunch of new faces getting PT.

As I understand it, bowl games don't affect RS status.

They were equally sure they’d win the 2011, 2024, and 2025 games right up until those games got played.  And should be reminded of that.  Probably up until the final minute of each game,  actually.   That’s when they produce the excuses.

In public, they whine that we and/or some other evil force cheated them. In private, they ask themselves why they're perpetual losers.

So basically like almost every other Texas basketball team for 2 fucking decades now?

Yeah. I'm thinking we won't see very much improvement until we get a true PG. Wilcher actually does a decent job initiating the offense, but I fear that in SEC play all our guards are going to get pressured a good bit, and the lane will be clogged with more athletic big men than we've faced. But I'm far more hopeful than I was with RT or Shaka.

I think miller encouraged Swain that he’d be the go to guy and have a lot of liberty to create his own shots … time to reel him in now that he’s forcing things and kind of ignoring the teammate with a better shot more than he should

The guy seems to randomly turn it on and off. Physically a mismatch for most guys he's faced so far, but lackadaisical for long stretches on both ends of the floor. Not the composed player we seemed to see in Maui. I could say much the same about Mark's focus.

Is A&M still doing well so far for 2027 guys? If so, is that because they are throwing around more NIL money, or because elite high school athletes are partial to deeply overweight oaf-looking head coaches, or some other reason?

Snell, at least, committed while the gomers still had a bunch of people fooled into thinking they were on the cusp of arriving as a nationally elite program. The bloom of course is now off that rose, so hopefully the kid isn't nearly as sold on them as before. Perhaps it was just an NIL commitment, but you'd like to think that this far out, with aggy reeling a bit and Muschamp now in Austin, things might swing our way. I'll hold out hope.

They had Allgeier the Spare getting exactly the same amount of carries as Bijan yesterday. The Falcons seem like an organization that actively works to pull the bookshelf on itself repeatedly.

I also found myself wondering if he’s not nearing some season milestones that would trigger contractual payouts that the Falcons are trying to avoid paying out? I’d think “surely not” in most circumstances but they’re a truly shitty organization.

It's tragic. I've lived in the Atlanta area since 1984, and I think Bijan is the best Falcon since Nobis. Were he playing for any of several other franchises, he'd have at least 30% more yards and TDs than he does now, with a clear runway to Canton. As is, I just hope decrepit Jake Matthews doesn't keep him from reaching the end of his contract with both legs still attached.

Preston – 9 minutes, four for four from the field, 9 points, and 4 assists. Got to the rim at will.

She looks jet-propelled and confident out there. Probably some extra juice after being out, but a really strong showing on the road.

in other news, to day USC and Cal are offensively challenged is putting it mildly. They could play for a week and neither hit 100. Jazzy Davidson's the only scorer on the floor.

We have scoreboard over aggy in volleyball but unfortunately the SEC tournament game didn't count in the LSS. Fall sports put us in a hole, but our spring sports are a lot better than our fall sports.

Agree that many of our best results for this school year are yet to come. I was just referring to the last time we  played aggy in each sport, regardless of the date.  I don't track the more minor non-revenue sports except to see where we are nationally in the Director's Cup standings.

  9. Classic Falcons. 4th and 1, Bijan standing on the sideline, collision and fumble in the backfield before the D even gets there. Like watching the Tacoma Narrows Bridge slowly sway until it collapses.

It the HC job is not open either now or season’s end it’s a joke. Pete Carroll may be old and maybe he shouldn’t have come back to the NFL and th Raiders have been awful but he’s got them believing today they can beat the Texans and they are swarming. The Falcons look inept 90% of the time.

Arthur Blank is a curious blend of acumen and idiocy. We all know which of those applies to business and which to football. A far less flamboyant Jerrah.
