Last time in Paris was in June a few years ago. In a nice hotel, but it had weak AC. This July will be even hotter.
I want to do the tourist stuff, but standing in a line in July kills the deal. This trip will be mostly Normandy and London.
(Last summer vacation! Now retired, I'll go whenever I want, just not in Summer!)

Eureka! Was getting warm in the office so I switched the ceiling fan to medium, instead of slow. Was making noise so I switched it back to slow, still making noise, so I thought I'd let it run backwards for awhile to see if it evened out. Backwards (blowing up) cooled the room better than blowing down! (still making noise)

I went ahead and got 300 euros for Paris and 200 pounds for London for peace of mind.
Ever asked for a PIN for a credit card?
-
How many pounds do I need to get from my bank for a few days in London? Or, is everything credit cards?
I was guessing I should get 200 to 300 for walking around cash, but that's why I'm here asking.

I'll be there in a couple months. Please explain the UK ETA? Was it a pain?

Just listened to Live Rust and am now in Rust Never Sleeps.
Makes me think of an interview I recently read where David Crosby bitches about Neil Young. Fuck David Crosby!

Is that why I smell smoke in south Austin, or are the neighbors just having a good time?
I smell it too! Looks to be North of Slaughter?

Who really owns cemetery plots?
My parents bought a six space plot when they were first married. Dad was buried there, then mom. I'm an only child and I assume the remaining four plots are mine? I know money was exchanged and the plot assigned back in 1962, but I find no record of a deed? When mom died, nothing cemetery was transferred to me.

When I see old shows like Dick Van Dyke show and they are in separate twin beds, I think, man, what would I do with all that extra real-estate if I had my own twin bed!

Talk from wife's office is to turn your TVs on at the time of the inauguration, but tune to a channel that's not carrying it. Hopefully to hurt the ratings?

Loved it! Still thinking, poor Vic.
Now Cristin Milioti joins my list of Morena Baccarin & Marisa Tomei. Maybe I should go to Italy?
-
I too bought a bag of Snickers and never turned on the porch light.

Wanted to watch the Baylor/Tech game today, but Beth Mowins is announcing. Can't listen to that!

People who light a fireplace on the first cool day are human pieces of shit! I've got all the windows open embracing the coolness after this beat down of a summer. I have to close them due to fireplace stench.

I think robins are coming through again on their way South? Those pretty birds last spring, now look rough. Think of the hot girl from high school who always had that dark tan. You see her thirty years later and think, what the fuck happened to her?

Fuck Spec's!
In south Austin just drive two blocks south on Brodie to get to a Total Wine.
If you just want wine or beer, go next door to Sam's Club. Don't need a membership card to buy alcohol in TX. (works at Costco too)

Yes, "settings" is the key. I think? I'm seeing LSU play, hopefully we're after that?

Just saw it today, this is pretty much where I land. Lots of fun but suffered from the multiverse stuff and too much time in the wasteland.
Morena Baccarin is still diesel train smoke.
It needed way more Morena Baccarin. WHEELHOUSE!

It's not terrible, but casting Lisa Kudrow as the "co-leader" is just baffling
Loved the movie, excited for the series, but Kudrow is terrible. Couldn't finish episode 1.

He's trying to find the density of the button so he can calculate the proper karat value. He weighed the button before and you need to weigh the displacement to understand the density of the object.
This is my problem, how does displacement create weight?
-
I understand the displacement from the volume, but my problem is weight. In my link there is displacement, but the volume of water stays the same. How can weight be created?
Is height of the water a factor?
-
Watch this video from 8:30 to 9:40. Can't understand how displacing water creates weight? Googling, I find underwater weighing as in calculating body fat, but there the person is being weighed, not the water.
