Earlier in the week Hamilton had him on the On Texas YouTube show and asked him about running a 10.96 100m.

Barnes said he had a visit scheduled to aggy next so is that now cancelled? These days commit doesn't mean what it used to so who knows

    Pretty sure he canceled

He didn’t run a 10.96 unless it was a split in the 4x100. I’m not complaining but he’s more of an 11.3-11.4 guy

Ran a 10.96 at district meet in Waxahachie, but it was slightly wind-aided.

He and other outfielder couldn’t see the routine fly ball because of twilight conditions and Stanford won game because of it.  It wasn’t there fault.

Porter was in LF; the ball dropped between CF and RF.  He had no direct involvement with that play.

He had moments last year when he looked a little shaky out there.

No way. He’s been a below average hitter and is extremely limited defensively. Dee should be getting most of his innings.

He is getting 2B, which I'm in favor.  Jack is more suited to frst, but that of course assumes JT in CF.

Yeah, I'm just humorously cynical about our bats going cold just in time for LSU.  JT and PP will probably go 0-fer while O'Dowd goes 4-4 with 4 2-out nobody on singles.

Pickng on JOD here is unfair.  He is off to a bad start, but he had some really big hits in Miami and Stanford last year.  He has earned a longer leash this year, imo.

Florida in a normal year is gonna be a big game. just happen to be down now.

Kentucky is basically OK State but at least it is different.

Still like those two better than Kansas and OK St.   Been there and sone that...

Really need the ninth SEC game and for them to rebalance the A&M and Arkansas home/away years. The home schedule this year is Georgia and the six dwarves.

Florida and Kentucky seem better than the same old shit we've been getting.  jmo.

I used the goalline as an example because at some point Corum had 20 rushing TDs or thereabouts from the 5 yard line and in. Corum has 58 career rushing TDs. Hall had 50 career rush TDs. And UMs Oline puts ISUs to shame right? If so, that means Corums job is easier. But are you saying Corum is undoubtedly better at the goalline?

I’ve never said Hall was significantly above Corum in shit. But based on available information, it’s within reason to say Hall is the better overall player. It’s also reasonable to say you can be comfortable with Hall in your backfield in any situation - short yardage, 3rd and long, 1st and 10, two-minute.

I'm saying that Corum is more than just a goalline runner, which is the only context in which you (finally) mentioned him.  His stats are nearly identical to Hall's, with the only difference of note being a better YPG by Corum.  The numbers are so close that anyone trying to say that one is clearly superior to the other is a person that I will ignore because they are full of shit.

You’re arguing against points I didn’t make. Reading the posts prior to my initial point would lead one to believe Purdy was playing with junior high 7 on 7 scrubs. I even referenced skill guys in my initial post then referenced the ISU Oline may not have been good in the second post. Not good is not an endorsement and certainly not a comparison to UM.

Forever and always UM is able to recruit and stack better talent than ISU. The advent of NIL and the portal make that gap wider. Got it. Haven’t disputed it. And having Harbaugh says a great deal too since he’s one of few to achieve at the NFL and college level.

I have not argued depth at RB either. Hall is damn good. Run game, pass game, short yardage, big plays. He’s shown abilities in all that. That’s not to say that Corum isn’t better at the goalline or that Edwards can’t beat Hall to the end zone from 70 yards out, but individually they have not shown yet they can do all those things to the level of Hall. What I would argue that on any given play I’d feel equally, if not more comfortable, with Hall on the field than the UM guys. The 5 touches per game that allowed Hall to rest - I go with whatever UM runs out there.

I’m not making any argument on behalf of JJ which seems to be what gets you fired up. And I’m not knocking Purdy in any respect either. I find joy in the last pick of the draft being a QB that may win the Super Bowl so the rest of the league can wonder how they missed. And not realizing it’s more about the organization from the top down than any one player.

Corum is better at the goalline?  It is apparent to me that you've not watched him much.  Here's a clue that might help: at least go look up his stats.  Putting Breece Hall significantly above Corum is a fucking joke.

“Once trusted institution”.  I most’ve blinked, I missed that one time aggy was a trusted institution.

Those fuckers lie, cheat, and steal when it suits them.  Just look at their football icons:  Jackie Sherrill & Johnny 8 Ball.

From Canton, Ohio, went to a catholic prep school there, then neuter-dumb for a BA and the '66 MNC.

Then he got his JD at U of Minnesota law school and worked as an attorney in the offseasons -- all during his NFL playing career for the Vikes.

I watched Page play on TV in the mud and snow of the old outdoor Metropolitan Stadium that they played in back then--- Chuck Foreman (#44), Fran Tarkenton (#10), and one Bobby Moore (#28 - later changed his name to Ahmad Rashad) were some of his teammates.

Page went to law school at UT for a year when I was in school, sometime in the 1973-75 period.  I knew he graduated elsewhere, but it got some publicity at the time.

That’s what I meant about watching him play… I don’t give a shit about how many times he sacked the vandy qb and got sec honors and drafted by idiots. My eyes did not see a fkin stud and I figured most could see that also. He was way overrated by the tv powers and in my opinion overrated.
And fuck him for drinking from Texas water cooler on game day in Austin

Tbf, there was no a/c in the lockerroom.
