Hey man, we tolerate other fans coming in and firing off. It’s one of the best things about the site. But you need to be knowledgeable or funny or … just not what you’re doing.

We have time: work on it.

I’ve been here since day one.   That Yankees shit never computed with me.   He needs a DeGrom or Yordan avatar….

And this one actually is arguable but I really do think even UTSA’s Frank Harris is better than Penix. Not as strong an arm but a much better runner & far smarter player. Both southpaws too.

What Washington games did you watch with Penix, Yankees fan?  Probably not so much because you live in NY/NJ/CT, or are a major sports poseur.  I suspect the latter.  Your IU comment earlier makes me think you are a bot or retarded.  So which are you?

That’s hilarious. Based on actual skill he’s maybe the 4th best QB in the PAC (Williams, DTR, and Rising are all head & shoulders better than him. I don’t even get how that’s controversial). I don’t care that he lit up the stat sheet, and NFL scouts don’t care either. He has laughably bad decision making skills and if he plays in the Alamo bowl our defense will have a field day. They’ve already faced 3 QBs that are far better than him (B. Young, Duggan, and Spencer sanders)

He’s the best P12 QB and should win Heisman.  See highlights above.  What you say about him is entirely wrong.  He’s left handed, so the feel on video is different, but results the same.  Heisman trophy winner!

Some of you never watched him play this year or when he was at IU and it shows. He can throw check downs & screens with the best of them but anything downfield he’s wildly inaccurate and has no touch on the ball. Everything he throws is a bullet. He’s horrible and if he plays I’m picking UT by 3 scores.

I am a Washington season ticket holder, plus went to the Apple Cup a week ago.

The dude should be this year’s Heisman winner.  He was elite this year.

Would’ve played for the PAC 12 championship vs USC had they not lost The Apple Cup.  Of course that scenario only reared it’s head late in the season with both UCLA and Oregon taking late unexpected losses (one of which was Oregon losing to Wash).  PAC 12 kind of is what it is.  Washington’s QB is getting some sleeper NFL draft hype though he’s quite injury prone which might not bode well for him playing in the bowl game

    Washington won the Apple Cup.

What is Bend like?  What spots on the coast?

Bend is amazing.  High desert, on the dry side with a collection of beautiful volcanoes to the west.  Great collection of breweries, great restaurants, amazing outdoor adventures (Newberry Crater should be a National Park.)

I’m sure there is a thread for Bend / Sisters / Sunriver here.  The Oregon Coast I know has a few threads.

Eugene sucks IMO.  Game time only type of place.

But damn if I don't think the Pacific NW is the most beautiful part of the country, and it's a solidly blue place.

Washington is at its best when it is swing state.  Ever since the Democrats took full control, only less than a decade ago, we have seen decline.  A massive rise in homelessness, graffiti, property crime, etc.

We really need less California lefties moving here for a long time.

Why prepare when everyone would just be dead?

In a tiny area.  Corvallis is allegedly the safest place in America from natural disasters.

My biggest fear here in SW Washington isn’t earthquake, volcano, or tsunami.  It’s a mega dry/hot year forest fire in the dense tree covered wet side where I live.

  10. Q).  Meat prices...inflation or greed...

A).  Idiot government, which is responsible for inflation and lack of supply.  Competition can stamp out greed, if govt. will let it.  The meat industry is highly regulated and expensive per USDA inspectors and regulation.

Anyone who argues for govt. mandated price controls is dumber than a retard.

The Baseball Hall of Fame is an illegitimate joke until they change the voting process.

I’ve been to the HOF many times including two inductions. I am done until there are major changes.

So sad, since the Cooperstown area is awesome.
  12. Yeah, condo with kitchen and outdoor grill.  That Costco is my go to spot for gas on the island.   And that grocery store you mention is great too.  The deli is good and has the Hawaiian lunch plate favorites.   It’s across the street from the condo.

There is a "Revealed" for the big island too.  Where are you staying?  I did 9 days at Waikoloa a couple of years back.

That book is awesome.   I used it for my trip to the Big Island last year.  On the Big Island I will be staying in Waikoloa, near Lava Lava Beach Club.  On Oahu I’ll be in Waikiki.

  14. Bumping this thread as I’ll be on Oahu for a few days before flying over to the Big Island.   I got the book “Oahu Revealed” which loaded with great tips, but would love other tips, especially in this COVID era.

  15. The other common ways to get to Victoria are:

    - Black Ball Ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria’s Inner Harbor

    - BC Ferries from Tsawwassen just north of U.S. border on mainland to Swartz Bay north of Victoria

    - Washington State Ferries from Anacortes to Sidney, BC (north of Victoria).  This route was closed last summer.   When operating, get reservations long in advance

That's a lot of the talk from the $9.95-ers here as well. It is not particularly popular, although it would be better than some other options.

Who pays money to them?  They are not in the loop and are constantly wrong.  Only one of those sites, not a mainstream one, had actual connections, but only with recruiting.   Repeating Jon Wilner isn’t reporting nor worth any subscription cost.

Our $9.95ers are hearing Justin Wilcox at Cal is the leader in the clubhouse to take over at UW.  Despite Cal's shittiness, Wilcox is a good coach, and could do really well there.

I have heard he isn’t on UW’s list and that his representation is trying hard to create enough smoke/hype to get him somewhere better than Berkeley.
