  1. The best chicken wings I’ve ever had are from Runyon’s. Corner of Washington and 1st Ave. Award winning 25 years ago and haven’t changed a bit. Have a couple of beers and a plate then stroll north on Washington a half a block and check out Sexworld and buy your wife a dildo. That way if she didn’t like the wings she can go fuck herself…

Brings me back. Now this is my favorite thread on the entire internet. Enjoy everything that wasn’t going to happen to you , young lads.

Might try one.  I use cast iron all the time, except for recipes with tomatoes.  Enameled cast iron works great there, though.  I'm just sick of seeing my idiot family take steel spatulas, forks, etc. to decent non-stick pans, so I pretty much just want to get them all out of the house (the pans, not the family, most days).  If the carbon steel pans are tough enough to take hard utensils but still season up to be reasonably non-stick, then good.

That brings up the question . . . can they handle an omelet?

Yup, all of the above. And then your kid makes SpagghetiOs in it. Then it’s back to the seasoning video. It’s a pain in the ass . I season the things on my grill now, saves on the smoked out kitchen , barking dogs and smoke alarms going off. I really like the idea but it’s kind of like an unwanted hobby keeping them in the game.

    From earlier this evening...

My father in law lost his cell phone on the golf course this afternoon.  It was raining so we didn’t have much hope it would still be working but he shares the location with his wife so i gave it the old college try and went out there to look for it (he’s older and we weren’t confident he would have any success).

I asked my wife to start calling it when I was close to the gps location in the unlikely event it still worked.  Luckily, it did.  Was able to find it from the ringer noise and answered the phone when I picked it up.

Me (on my FIL’s phone):  Hey

    My wife:  Hey.  Any luck?

  5. They milled the road north of the bridge. Stayed at Costa Blu , 25 minute golf car ride from the center of town. Great resort , food wasn’t as good as Mahogany Bay but the bar staff and pool made up for it. Great restaurants only ten minutes away. Would do it again. The road to Secret Beach is still a cratered mess. YMMV

Also, when we kayak the Devils River, we bring space bags.  Wine-in-a-box without the box.  Tie a length of paracord to it when we stop for the night and drop it in the river to cool off.  Cab in a bag tastes amazing out of a coffee cup.

last August wife comes home from party and asks if there is a restaurant or bar or something named Tito's? I met a guy named Tito at the party, talked to him for over an hour.

    Pics?

That's really surprising.  Not surprised Tito's is a top selling vodka, but Smirnoff sells a gotdam ocean's worth of vodka.

I stopped buying Tito's when I realized its 15 bucks more than Smirnoff at my local liquor store.

It’s 12 bucks at Costco if you can stand Kirkland instead of Tito’s on the label.

I have my favorite mixing bourbon, rye, and tequila pretty well nailed down. What are you using for vodka and gin cocktails?

Gordon’s gin with Schweppes tonic mixed 50/50 with a  lime squeeze for the best G&T. Try t.

Costco $14 dollar home wrecker Vodka . Tastes like Tito’s to me.

What is your mixing bourbon ?

Heading to PS for a few days after Christmas, one of which is my wife's bday.

Italian is her favorite cuisine, so thinking I'll go that route.  I saw Birba mentioned above, but it's pretty low on the rating/ranking scale.

Any other Italian suggestions in the Palm Springs area?  Don't mind driving.  Would prefer something on the nicer side, but food is most important.

Villa Bakery 67470 Ramon Rd, Cathedral City .
We ate here after golf damn near every day. Clean, friendly and cheap. Awesome shredded beef fried tacos. Great bakery.

25 years in June. Based on the fact no one believes a colossal fuckup such as that should be parlayed into sexual favors(more deviant than usual), I’m starting to believe I’m the only married guy in here.

Sex. What the hell is that? I’m starting to believe I’m the only married guy in here.
