I’ve read this same thing for years now. Their schedule gifts them 5 wins a year. If they play average in 3 others they’ll make it to 8. The league can barely complete a forward pass.

Lack of experienced talent will make even the gift wins harder than normal. I say 7-5 at best.

Meh, they will still win 8 games. Mond is an okay QB. He will throw a pick but he will also throw some TDs. Their RBs are not great but play in a very friendly scheme. Their TE are okay. Their WR are fine. They should be fine on offense unless their OL is that limiting. Their defense will be about the same as last year. Their run defense will be good but if they face a decent passing game (they don’t often), they will get abused. I will be curious how big a liability their corners and LBs will be. I couldn’t tell since the starters were split between both teams but their tackling in space by CB and LB was not good.

Aggy is rebuilding from their almost 4th place finish last season, they will be lucky to be 6-6, 7-5 will be a great season for them.

I suspect they look at DB in the draft, and Jones is going to walk next year unless he gives a team friendly deal.  As good as he was at CB last season, and overhyped he got according to some publications, I think we all know he's not a Deion type shut down corner, and some team will pay him like that.

I expect Dak and Amari are next, probably Dak first(Probably after Wilson gets done)

    S or DL.

I wouldn't bet on them not winning a conference title in the next 19 years, but... it's not like they went back to the Big 12 championship game after 1998 or have been to the SEC title game a few times and just came up short. As long as they're in a conference with a championship game and nationally competitive programs, even winning a conference title is going to be a real uphill climb for them.

Stewart Mandel and people like him, the media that reliable bleat about A&M being a sleeping giant-- this is what they miss about A&M. There is NOTHING new under the sun. We have seen this lather/rinse/repeat shit from A&M for as long as any of us have been around them. You ask a Mandel "why do you think A&M will win a national title under Fisher?" and the shit you get back in response could have been said of numerous coaches or junctures in their history. Did they not claim to have a huge facilities advantage in 2015? When have they NOT claimed that? Were they not the hot swaggering all-the-kids-want-to-be-here program of 2014? When have they NOT claimed to "run this state" in recruiting? Who had a better reputation in December of 2004, Dennis Franchione or Mack Brown? Which school put a picture of Sun Devil Stadium in its lockers before the 1995 season?

I don't know WHY A&M can't win anything. They have a giant stadium and a big rabid fan base and they sit in a talent rich area and they won't hesitate to cheat because sometimes the good guys just have to get down in the mud with the villains like t.u., but I've had 30+ years of watching them claim they can and should win shit only to come up comically short.

I'll say this, and maybe this is tripling down on MY part, but I would bet on A&M getting caught in a huge scandal before I'd bet on them to win a conference and CERTAINLY a national championship. Baylor-style rape, UNC-style academics, massive school-sponsored cheating, all of the above-- that will happen before they win a national title.

Sheep suffer in the me-to generation.

Watched Black Panther over the weekend.  How that movie was nominated for any Oscar is lame. The movie is awful, in fact worst movie in the Marvel series.

I thought I was the only person that hated that movie.
