  1. Got a question. I have managed to locate three of the Blanton’s. The original, straight from the barrel, and the gold edition.
My question is are the red and black label bottles available in the US? I know they were not originally distributed in the US, but I keep running across postings on forums like Reddit that suggest they can be had?

@Hamttx feel free to indulge us in living vicariously through your journey sir if you have a hunt or are planning one for this new rifle purchase

Nothing like that. My father was a PH for a short time. He got me into collecting dangerous game rifles. They are most definitely an acquired taste.

i have the opposite reaction to those questions.  he will research something to ask a question, but it always feels like it is just a question to show off that he's researched.  here, it was "your birthday is the same as the day they launched the show. any significance to that?"  that, like all of those similar ones that he tries to come up with for his guests, comes off to me more of "look what I found" than an interesting thread to pull on for discussion.

it's a weird thing to complain about but they always seem teacher's-pet-ish to me and designed to get the guest to be impressed by him.

I find that to be an interesting observation. Until you mentioned it I had never gave it much thought. But, I can see your point.
If I’m speculating, and I was a guest, I think I would appreciate the fact that you researched it. I would also add how the question was asked would be a component. I can see the host wanting to give the guest something in their wheelhouse, without sounding patronizing.

Reds indoor range has a brand new 2004 model (yes been there 20 years) rifle that I thought was in 375 H&H. I am not positive and also not positive on brand. Might give them a call - it’s for sale but they have never lowered the price. Just sits there. But brand new - worth a shot.

I appreciate it, but I’m wanting something from post 2010. From what I’m reading that is when they introduced the Safari Express (prior to that date I believe they were called super express). The newer models are controlled feed, have the matte black finish, and the front swivel is on the barrel not the stock.
It also has the shorter barrel. Which makes carrying it easier than the Alaskan that I currently have. Again, thanks for the heads up.

  5. I have been trying to find a Winchester Safari Express in .375 H&H. I have read they are still in production, but no one actually has one in stock. Anyone have any insight on what is going on?

Any input on the Canik line?  I've spoken to a few owners and they think the world of them.

The triggers are other worldly good. How the hell such an affordable pistol can have such a trigger blows my mind. I very much want one so I can disassemble it and see how they work.

I’ve watched a fair amount of Caleb Williams and his body language really sucks.  Heavy sighs, shrugs and pouting every time he gets sacked.  No legit QBs act like that.

He is a strange guy. The preseason bravado, the look at me shit. He had to know that the NFL is fully of fast, strong, great players. I mean he can’t be that naive? His lack of maturity is on full display when he gets frustrated

They're in fairly massive use in industry for prototyping parts and have been for a decade or more.  A few companies make small runs of production parts using them, as well.

What’s the initial investment to purchase everything needed to print something in the 4”x5” size? Not looking for specifics, just a general idea what type of financial commitment it takes to produce small items. Over/inder $5k

Assume you pressed the issue with the aunt?

I was probably about 30 years old at the time. And for reasons I can’t explain It was one of those times in life where something disappoints you to such a degree it sort of numbs you. Only later do you go through the “I should have said” exercise. It floored me that she pulled that shit. I was the only nephew he had. And we were great friends as well. She would pass a few years later and I have no idea what came of the watch. I did get some of his war memorabilia, and his war time bible. Which I hold in high regard. But, I would be lying if I didn’t admit I wanted that watch more than anything.

Yes this was covered above. It was never my intention to have people interpret my comments literally as “all” or “nothing”. It’s pretty obvious to me that all of the statistics you will see are trends, not absolutes. And if you look at the trends which someone posted above, there were a lot more people over 65 with pensions, and a lot less without them under 60. That was my only point.

I understand. I was just enjoying the conversation. No disrespect intended.
