  1. I know there are many different kinds of telescopes one can buy, so I'm curious about what telescopes people on here have and how they rate them. I'm planning on buying one, but I don't want to invest in some piece of shit that will break or is made with terrible quality and materials. This also goes for the tripod, as that is just as important to ensuring the life of the telescope is intact as it is ensuring the observer is able to get really good views of the celestial bodies in our neighborhood.

Also, since light pollution is a huge factor in being able to properly see anything in the night sky, where do you like to go to set up your telescope to use it? I live in Fort Worth, but will be planning a trip sometime this summer after I make my purchase.

Not exactly how it works. It's a competition to solve the blocks/transactions or you don't get a piece of the coin. Speed matters, Frys is out of 1070 and 1080 cards for a reason. You can't compete with the newest cards, you will never solve the problem in time to get any BTC. Even with 1000 of these little mini PCs you won't solve the same as one 1080 can solve, and these guys have 40 of them stacked.

I'm aware of how it works, I was making a joke about mining.

  3. Sure, sure... the faster the processor or graphics card the more you can mine at any given time. BBBBUUUUUTTTTT.... the more you have that is mining then you are at least getting something from it.

Is this coming down on the little guys so it makes people think the NCAA isn't asleep at the wheel?

No, clearly jesus took the wheel. And since he's a fairly tale, it really just means fuck all.

Everyone gives their last fuck.  Nobody blows this critical shit off at all. Our first iteration of grass was absolute Columbian Gold . What we have now is hardly any good compared to that pure football ideal of a playing surface.
What's next?  Are we going to stop singing the eyes at the end?  Do we need to have more Taco Bell and Jetpack ads?
Very important shit that Tex Pete acts like is just a messed up order at mcdonalds.

  6. Bunch of butt hurt motherfuckers over there. I got suspended for gently offering a hypothesis as to why a 4 star player decommitted from ou. I simply noted that he probably realized eating bags of ducks wasnt hiw style.

  7. In all reality, I think both Blue Origin and SpaceX (or whatever other civilian competition creeps up in the future) have a really viable prospect at the longterm future of space exploration. These two companies are primarily focused on two different fields, one personnel the other cargo respectively. This is a good thing I think because if mankind is to ever actually set out to build an orbital spaceport and/or mass drivers that could launch ships deep into the solar system on the cheap, a way to get the materials into space inexpensively will be necessary as well as the people who would one day inhabit said orbital spaceport as well as anything destined for the moon, Mars or anywhere else. So it's going to require some level of coordination between the two at some point in the future. Probably not sharing of proprietary information about the methods they employ to get their fuel to the optimal mixture or engines to resonate at specific frequencies, but still some coordination.

Well, if you ever wondered what a giant dildo being launched into space looked like... now ya know.

Ewww, it's all giant and veiny. It's like a moose!

  9. I really like this show. If humanity could ever figure out how to actually create this Epstein drive, we would be in fucking business. I appreciate how the story portrays what thebsolar system is most likely to resemble in the next couple centuries, even if we don't have such a thing as the Epstein drive. They put a lot of work into getting the physics in this show correct. From a science/math nerd's perspective, the importance of this can't be overstated.

Pete Caroll makes it really hard for me to hate on him sometimes..

I had no hate for him when he was at USC. I certainly don't now. I may not have been his biggest fan in 2005, but I couldn't hate him. He was always a player's coach.

I'm glad he sees the value in players from Texas.

The politics board on this new website is getting closer to being a liberal safe space...

Hate to say it, but the old place was much more balanced.

Just because there are more liberally minded people here doesn't mean its some sort of "safe space" or "escape room" where they all go to not have their opinions safe from scrutiny and removed by moderators. This is an open message board where stupid ideologies get negblasted into orbit for being stupid ideologies. Don't get your panties in a twist because you don't like being around liberals. There is no requirement or restriction to post here other than not being a troll (and I would generally assume not posting in support of neo-nazis, white nationalists, the alt-right, etc goes with this as well). Stop with your bitching about liberals. You sound like an insufferable cunt.
