  1. Fucking Gomer Pyle ref sucks
  2. Their receiver held just as much as ours
  3. That’s a great list. How old is your kid? Mud kids (15 and 12) surprisingly really enjoyed psycho when it happened to be on TCM last year
  4. Thought I would get this thing cranked back up as we near Halloween again. I’ve had a bunch of horror movies on in the back ground while I’ve been working lately. 2 that I’ve stumbled across are The Night Shift on Hulu and Haunt on prime. Not sure if they’ve been mentioned on here but they’re a couple of fun ones that had me entertained.
  5. I agree 100%…. A decent game from Arch gets it done for Texas with that defense. That being said, I felt the same way about Ewers in the 2022 TCU game at home (17-39, 171 yards, OTD, 1int).
  6. I think the encouraging thing is that Arch never looked so bad/inaccurate when he played last year. He wasn’t throwing balls at guys feet or sailing passes over their heads. I choose to believe that the kid didn’t just forget how to play QB but started out extremely nervous and the game snow balled out of control from there. Just disappointing that an average game from him (or any QB for that matter) easily wins that game. I think his play over the next few weeks is going to be telling. Even though they’re cupcakes you’d like to see him throwing dimes all over the field so we (and he) know he’s capable and that last game was an aberration. If he’s making the same shitty throws to open guys then we know we’ve got a huge problem.
  7. He beat Saban’s ass on the road. He beat Dabo at home. It’s not all bad.
  8. I will say that Sayin had a headset on talking to coaches between drives while Arch was sitting on the bench looking clueless because his OC was managing the rest of the game.
  9. This is 100% correct. This was all on Arch. Decent high school QB’s complete that crossing route to Wingo for a massive gain at crunch time. He missed open receivers. He threw balls to wide open guys at their feet. Sark can’t make him make basic throws. I was super critical of Ewers last year and Arch deserves the same criticism today. He was awful. That being said, it was unfortunate we played OSU first because I do think he’ll get better after playing some warm up games against crappy competition like SJSU and SamHouston. I think he’ll get more comfortable and be ready for SEC play next month (god I hope so).
  10. Never mind, kick blocked. They’ll be 0-1 coming to Austin
  11. SJSU driving, trying to kick a game winning field goal against CMU
  12. I remember people saying this about Martindale at Michigan last year. He had no answer for Sark’s game plan.
  13. My daughter (who’s at Texas now) also said Travis Scott spent a year or 2 at UT a few years ago.
  14. At least Alabama came to Austin the year before (during peak Big12 ref shenanigans)
  15. Sark seems to do his best work when he can spend the entire off season and preseason camp game planning, as evidenced by Alabama 2 years ago and Michigan last. I fully trust he’s going to put us in a great position to win this game. The similarities to Michigan last year are just too much to overlook (OSU and Michigan both coming off national championships, both losing a shit ton of their upper class man heavy roster, Michigan lost their HC and OSU lost their OC). I actually feel really good about this game. As a side note, how the fuck we playing at Michigan and then at Ohio State in back to back years? I haven’t looked at future schedules but those motherfuckers better return those games to Austin in the near future.
  16. Our defense will make most offenses look “C” quality. After going up against our defense during camp OSU is going to feel like a reprieve for this offense.
  17. Wisconsin has no business being on this list unless you like heavy chicks. Every school in the southeast has better looking women.
  18. I expect a victory at tOSU but I’d argue that Arch’s receiving corps and rebuilt line are a step down from what Quinn had the last 2 years. Our defense is elite. If our Offense can average at least 24 points a game we should cruise.
  19. We have no idea how manning would’ve done against ASU but I would bet he wouldn’t throw that bonehead interception in the 4th quarter when all we needed to do was run clock.
  20. This is such a stupid fucking argument. You sound like the mouth breather Aggies on Instagram in the comments section of any post mentioning Arch or Texas being ranked #1. “How can you be so obtuse”?
  21. I won’t go so far as to say back to back titles but I have a feeling we’ll see a much more prolific offense this year and wonder what could’ve been had Arch remained the starter when Ewers recovered from his injury.
  22. Did you watch the cowboys yesterday? They looked worse
  23. If I remember correctly, I think someone (American Statesman?) went around asking the team who their favorite musician was in 2010. I think most of the team said whoever was the hot rap artist at the time. Garret Gilbert said he listened to Taylor Swift. I think it was then that most of us knew he wasn’t going to get it done at Texas.
  24. The episode where the guy who loves to read goes into a bank vault to read during his lunch break and survives a nuclear war is greatness. Don’t want to spoil the ending.
