Not too worried about the draft. If we were able to pick up a C, we'd still be in dire need of a 3 and D wing, as we have been for 2-3 years. We got one and now we need a C. Oh well. We'll figure it out. And we make the playoffs without one this year. If we "complete" our team next year then we are on schedule.

A Freshman who played sparingly isn't going to immediately address that need. No doubt that Bryant has athletic ability, but he's going to develop for 2-3 years before he has any kind of impact on the team. I just don't understand where the Spurs are going. They're young every year the last 5 years. They picked Castle 4th last season and picked up Fox in a trade. They picked another Guard 2nd this season who hasn't displayed much shooting ability. Is Vassell going to be the odd man out at a crowded position and traded off?

I’d speculate 75+% of the users on this board wouldn’t get into Texas today.

Sir, I'll have you know I took an IQ test and I scored a 103. That's 3 points over the maximum for fuck's sake. I'd only settle for admission into one of the prestigious Ivy league schools.

  3. 0-3 vs UTSA in Austin for the season. Yikes! Maybe someday Schloss can build a program to compete with the likes of perennial ass kicking in-state flagship programs such as the Roadrunners and Bobcats. It'll be a lengthy process so exercise patience.

  4. I mean Kevin Durant isn't wrong. Every NBA fan knows who Kevin Durant is because of the numerous accolades he accomplished throughout his career. If you ask a casual NFL fan who Emmanuel Acho is they're gonna be like who? I did enjoy watching Antonio Brown get him riled up over the Joy Taylor saga, Emmanuel like the soft ass he is blocked AB. Does Emmanuel really know what it's like to take on Adrian Peterson in the open field though? Sam had a memorable career at Texas and was clearly the better of the two brothers who went on to have an 8 year NFL career. Emmanuel was a flash in the pan.

  5. The NFL hates Black Quarterbacks so much that they picked them at #1 the last three drafts. Shedeur was a slightly above average QB. Hunter was the most talented player on that team by far. Deion couldn't shut the fuck up and went as far to compile a list of teams that would be acceptable destinations essentially sabotaging his own son.

  6. Nobody is going to pick Shedeur Sanders in the 1st? I thought he was a generational talent according to his dad? They even retired his number.

This has been a brutal QB class. If you go back to September, Beck was considered to be the first pick at one point. Quinn was top 10 at one point. Miller Moss and Nussmeier were in the 1st round briefly. This QB class is like a bad reality show. It more about who didnt get voted off the island, than who had a great season.

Yeah, it's a woefully bad QB crop especially compared to last season.

Sir, this is surly and nobody gives a fuck.

  8. Sanders is predicted to plummet all the way to the Steelers towards the end of the first. I remember before the combine and pro days he was predicted to be #1 or #2 off the board. Banks, Golden and Barron will all hear their names called in the first round. I'm curious to see where Collins and Broughton end up. Those two were junkyard dogs on that DL, staying the system payed huge dividends for both of them in the end they both had a solid 2024 season.

  9. Me thinks Miller is gonna snag a point guard soon. I'm interested to see if Pope will bounce back in a fashion like Marcus Carr did after an underwhelming year one. Pope wasn't a turnover machine, but he didn't exactly excel in distributing the ball. Pope's mid range came to life towards the end of the season. Nice to see Miller land a young big with a ton of potential. That's where I believe the team was hurting the most last season after the departure of Disu. Shedrick was a nice bench quality player, but he just wasn't cut out to log a lot of minutes.

  10. What about Ben McCollum? His first season coaching D1 led to a 31-4 record, a conference title/conference tourney title and a win over a 6 seed. Drake was giving it to Tech in the 2nd round for a good stretch before Tech pulled away towards the end. He's the most successful D2 coach in recent history with 4 titles and his first season in D1 was a success. Ben is only 43 years old to boot.
