Sloppy. It's like they're asleep at the wheel and KU is playing some solid defense.

2009-2010 Texas says hi. 17-0 and #1 to 24-10 with a first round loss. THAT was crash and burn
I still have that agonizing loss to #14 seeded Abilene Christian etched into my brain because it happened very recently.

Smacking around the Jayhawks would be another nice boost to the post season resume. In Terry I trust, he's proven to be adept at making the necessary adjustments at the half, the TCU and second KSU game are perfect examples.

It's fine to not want Terry to be the coach next season but I don't understand the mixed feelings part. This group has the ability to go further than any squad we have had in 15 years. I'd rather see this team have tremendous success with Terry possibly being given the gig as a result than fucking crashing and burning and hoping the next guy can get us there.
Crash and burn the official slogan of Texas Basketball during the Shaka years.

Consecutive wins against the #11 and #7 teams in the country sitting on top of the Big 12 standings, pretty damn good feeling. Terry as an interim is doing more than that clown Shaka did in six years. Three wins over Top 15 teams with a crack at a fourth coming up next.

Where all the trades at???????

Terry at least has the team positioned better at this point in the season than Shaka ever did in six years. Wins against TCU/Baylor and losses against KSU, ISU and Tennessee which are all ranked in the Top 15. I'd be overjoyed with wins against ISU and KU at home and a road win over Baylor or TCU out of the remaining ranked teams that Texas plays. That would build an extremely solid resume for the post season. I think Terry mops up the remaining softer competition WVU, OU and TTU, loses to KSU and KU on the road and potentially drops one of the TCU/BU games on the road.

The 2000s are over, I wouldn't take anything to heart that Rivals puts out there.

Love this band the front man is extremely versatile, glad they're gaining more attention.

All that just to get blown up on a 6 yard slant?

Dak and Zeke is easily the most overpaid backfield in all of the NFL.

A rookie 7th rounder outplaying the $160 million man.....is anyone truly surprised?

Terry continues to build a case for why he should be the coach next season. If he guides Texas to it's first Sweet 16 appearance in nearly two decades then he should be the #1 candidate. If Texas reaches the Elite 8 the job should be outright his. The team isn't winning pretty, but they continue to win and sit 4-1 in the upper echelon of the conference with a chance to gain a little cushion against ISU on Tuesday. Given the circumstances would any other coach be doing any better in this scenario? Terry was inserted into a very adversarial situation and continues to win, this is the most enjoyable basketball season in quite some time.

WTF is Carr doing?

Carr and Hunter are complete ass tonight. 4-18 between the two of them.

Coach Cal is washed. He's bringing in boat loads of talent and hasn't done fuck all with it in quite some time. Kentucky looked like a good team the year the tourney was cancelled and that's a what if, but they looked good last season too and flopped out in the first round to a 15 seed. This athletic program is cursed, we finally got someone who appeared ready to steer this ship in the right direction and he turned out to be a woman beater.

Remember when Kirby Smart was a punch line? Now he's set to become the first coach to win two consecutive titles in the playoff era, Saban and Dabo couldn't even pull off that feat.

An expanded playoff goes hand in hand with the NIL to spread out the talent pool. It's already starting to bit Bama, Clemson, and OSU and just a matter of time until Georgia is next.
We need the top players in the country spread out over the top 25 not all collected in 5 teams.
I agree that the talent needs to be dispersed, but I just don't see an expanded playoff system as a remedy. There would still be stacked teams and we'd be witnessing over matched teams being nothing more than cannon fodder like we're witnessing right now.

I guess KU is going to have free runs to the rim all night?
