Tennessee has now guaranteed themselves 5 more years of not winning an NCAA Title! Will Vegas take that bet, because I would bet literally my entire house on that. 🤣

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee has rewarded men's basketball coach Rick Barnes for winning the Volunteers' first SEC tournament championship in 43 years with a contract extension through the 2026-27 season.

Cause winning the NCAA tourney is easy, right? It's not like they historically have a big time basketball program. They reached the Elite 8 once, ever. With the team they could potentially return next season reaching the Elite 8 sounds reasonable and would justify his contract extension.

Houston has very little chance against Nova. A puncher’s chance but that’s it. Nova is the best team in the country.

I don't know about that, they've only lost two games by double digits which were to  Memphis whom seemed to have their number for whatever reason during the regular season. UH demolished them in the conference tourney. Crooked Kelvin is taking that team back to the Final 4, I'm a little envious of the recent success of their basketball program.

He would be a pretty good backup to be honest if the browns ate his contract. That will likely happen.

Leave it to the Browns to draft that steaming turd as the #1 overall pick despite his physical limitations. Kinda funny a #1 pick's ceiling is being a "pretty good backup" five years into his career.

  4. Nothing but love for Rick Barnes, he was the best coach we've ever had. Yes the end of his tenure coaching Texas was bad, but he turned Texas basketball into a respectable brand that was completely demolished by that clown Shaka Smart. I wanted to see the Vols do well in the tourney, I'd trade the Vols' last six seasons in a heart beat at least they managed to reach the sweet 16 Shaka couldn't even win a single tourney game.

  5. If Texas beats Purdue tonight they're going to the Elite 8, book it. Couldn't ask for a more favorable match up in the sweet 16 than a Cinderella team in Saint Peter's. I was happy to see Baylor eliminated, the worst possible match up for Texas in the East was trounced by UNC.

  6. I hope the Colts trade for that steaming pile of shit. Cleveland had championship level talent on offense and Baker squandered it. OBJ looked like shit because of Baker, Landry looked like shit because of Baker. Hooper and Njoku looked like shit because of Baker. Hell, they even had an elite offensive line propping him up and he still couldn't get it done.

Not quite the Iraqi highway of death, but the Ukranians ambushed one of the large armored convoys en route to Kiev and wiped the entire thing out. The pressure on Putin will continue to mount. Casualties piling up, several aircraft full of para troopers shot down, dozens of helicopters shot down, countless armored vehicles destroyed and next to nothing to show for it. The decision to fly several IL-76 loaded with paratroopers over hostile territory with active air defense is downright dumb fuckery to the highest degree.

  8. Gotta hand it to the Ukranians, they're not making it easy on Russia despite being out numbered and largely fighting with Soviet era equipment save for some anti-tank munitions like Javelin missiles. The cowardly Iraqis and Afghans were armed to the teeth with US equipment and laid down like cheap whores when ISIS and the Taliban collided with them.

Isn’t the Chernobyl area, like, you know, radioactive?

The majority of the radiation was contained within the shelter they finished back in 2017. There are some pockets of radiation in the exclusion zone, but it's largely safe for the most part now. Chernobyl no longer produces power and has been decommissioned, but it's still used to route power throughout Ukraine and that's likely why Russia seized it.
