-Oregon State - 1-2 - Losers to both OSU and Hawaii, Oregon State just rolled an FCS nobody in Cal Poly. Once you account for fending off Stefen Djordjevic, Cal Poly has nothing for any opponent. Oregon State is hot buttered trash and they'll wind up 2-10 this season.
This deserves much more love than it has received. Although I am probably just dating myself.

I'm pretty sure they thought of that first. It's what gave us the technology that allows us to see Kingsville get its shit pushed in by Alice, in high definition.
Phrasing.

This thread is better than any. I have a Sunday (this Sunday) to do something after company retreat at Spanish Bay. Want to go to Big Sur. Is Nepenthe the place to go for lunch? Ventanas?
What retreat were you out here for? I’m sitting at SJC airport waiting for flight back to Austin. Came out for a buddy’s 50th and stayed in Carmel-by-the sea. Played Pebble Spyglass and Pacific Grove. Weather out here is amazing. Dreading going back to the heat.

Would you put Cockrell a level above or no?

Played Mo Willy yesterday with @Schlong Connery and @Horn21. It's in as good of shape as I've seen it in a long time.

Others here will know more, but when my daughter and I visited colleges in March, the area around Reed looked pretty nice. Cool homes, restaurants and bars, etc.

I've already looked into it. The schools she's looking at fund Ph.D. students but not MS. We still have enough in her 529 to cover MS, except if she gets into Stanford. The good/bad news is that the prof she's working for this semester is from Stanford.
The prof she had the research fellowship with last semester has apparently put on a full-court press trying to get her to do grad school at Mines (he's the dept chair and said he will make sure she gets funded for any program). She doesn't want to do that, though, I'm sure partly because she has heard me say that you shouldn't get your undergrad and master's from the same school unless you're switching programs.
Beau, your daughter went to Mines? What did she think of it? It's on my son's list, and they sent him an invitation for some kind of priority streamlined application process, which is a plus. Think the male/female ratio may be tough for him to accept, but we will see.

Those things cause you to hit thin lob wedges at the heads of the very nice members that are hosting you at local country clubs.
“Thin”. Also causes you to hit hosel rockets at other members of this board.

My wife and I loved it. Rented a car for a day and drove up the the national park and drove around Ile d'Orleans. It was beautiful. We didn't do a ton of sightseeing in town, we stayed on Petit' Champlain (very close to the cruise terminal) and just wandered around there. Some great places to eat and drink. Definitely get a drink at the Fairmont. I would wander around Petit champlain and see what looks good.

My buddy and I talked with a guy who is in the golf business who volunteered his help to the Kinsers. He said that the new folks want to put in a music/putt putt area where 8 and 9 are, then reconfigure 1-7 into a 9 hole par three. He said the new guys aren't going to do anything the first four months, let things "quiet down", then start making the changes. It'll be around Christmas time when folks are busy and aren't thinking about Butler.
I certainly can't speak for anyone else, but trying to squeeze 9 holes out of 1-7 is screwing it up. It'll be a cluster fuck on the south side of the course. If people want putt putt, i"m sure there's one close by somewhere. Maybe something that's been around a while.
But hey - C3! They're cool!
Thanks for the info. That does suck.

I believe next Tuesday is the last day the Kinser family will operate Butler P&P. From what I understand, C3 & Co, are going to screw it up. Better get over there and play before it's too late.
Why do you say they are going to screw it up? I have no idea, just curious. Seems like they are willing to put a little money into it which the Kinser's didn't, hence the shitty conditions.

Echoing what CTJ said, the book is great. Definitely watching this.

Flying out of the South Terminal now for the first time. As silly as it is that a city as big as Austin has this thing I’ve got to say it was a really good and easy experience. Taco truck was good too.
Flew to Minneapolis and back this week out of the South terminal. Super easy and convenient.

Sitting in a pub in Northfield, Minnesota at the moment. About 75 degrees and gorgeous. Checking out Carleton and St Olaf tomorrow with daughter. Small town but very cool. Probably a little different in January.

Clint Hurdle’s team has needed an asskicking for a long time now regardless of anything tonight.
No doubt. Clint Hurdle is a bitch and his team throws at heads constantly.

My buddy in Vegas says it is 3.5 today.

I use the terms interchangeably. Just knew there was original which I have and a Stage 2. They both say RBZ on the bottom.

2-3 years I think.

I’m still using my SLDR 3W. Older than the Rocketballz. Can’t find anything I can hit better.
Hell my old Taylormade Tour 200 Duffy is still a great head.
Your V steels are still popular on tour.Rocketballz older than SLDR.

I wouldn't be too sure about that RBZ 3W putting you at a disadvantage. I'm still hitting mine and haven't found a hotter 3W out there. I would get irons and wedges for sure.

The fact that Craig T handed that ball off is still one of the more egregious play calls in history.
