Looks familiar.  He probably hangs out at Bubba's 33 on the Loop near LHS.

Note:  Will not be looking for him.

Bubba's, Applebee's, and the Page Pub are all places that I know I've seen him multiple times.

Just in case you guys run into him in real life.
    AVOID.

Holy shit I’ve actually run into this guy while bar hopping in Longview a few times. He’s always decked out in aggy gear and is one of the biggest douchebags I have ever met.

Longview alone would sell out Homer Bryce today. They and Lufkin had 23,000 or so there years ago.

Here's a short video I took as fans were still lining up to get in a full 60 mins before the Longview vs Lufkin state quarter-final game at SFA last season.

The buzz around this Longview team is unlike anything I've seen in the 18ish years I've been living here. I'll be surprised if they bring fewer than 15 - 20K fans to the game.

Can't figure out how to get this to embed... https://streamable.com/3jpxo

  4. Longview 56 - Vandergrift 28

    Quote

The Lobos have scored 196 points in their three playoff wins, and hung 56 points and 533 yards of offense on a Vandegrift (12-1) defense that came in allowing just 13 points per game.

    Quote

Longview junior quarterback Haynes King eclipsed the 3,000-yard passing mark for the season by throwing for 247 yards and three touchdowns on 13 of 16 passing. He now has 38 touchdowns and just one interception on the year.

Read somewhere earlier that Haynes is the first Longview QB to pass the 3,000 yd mark for a season. This team is fun to watch. Playing Spring Westfield at Waco ISD Stadium next Sat.  2:30p.

I know the last time Longview played at Waco ISD Stadium was a decade ago now, but hopefully they can exercise some demons from that Pflugerville ass kicking in 2007.

I've heard Westfield is solid, but know absolutely nothing about them. Any of y'all seen them play?

  5. Haynes has a completion percentage of 72% and 33 TD's as well. He added TCU to his list of offers today.

I've never seen Longview with an offense like this it the 18 or so years that I've been following them. Balanced and really efficient.

Everyone but Rockwall, I think they won by 1. That district is looking way tougher now. Funny that horn who got 4th is still alive with Longview.

Longview beat Rockwall 42-35. The only other team that stayed within 28 points all season was Lufkin in week 1 35-28.

They’re averaging 54 points per game and only giving up 17. The craziest stat I heard during the game last night though is that Longview has only had to punt the ball 7 times in 12 games

These kids seem like a real threat to finally get it done this year.

In order for us to play OU they would have to win next Friday, and I want them to lose ever fucking single game they play. So bring on WV.

Haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been covered, but that is absolutely the correct answer. The next time I root for the dirt burglars to win a game will be the first time.

  8. Two guys sitting next to each other talking about how big of a scumbag Urban Meyer is.

The wife of one of the guys chimes in: "She called the police on him how many times? It sounds to me like its her fault for not leaving him. Why should the head coach be fired because she keeps putting herself in that situation?"

Thought at first she had to be an Ohio St fan. Nope; Auburn fan.

side note - my wife and I are heading up to Ft Worth this weekend to hang out and our boys are playing in Arlington for a brief 2 game set. Fortunately, I've never been to Globe  whatever ballpark for a rangers game so wanted to see if you guys could fill me in on any details or things to know about there prior to. we don't have tickets yet, any sections better than others? what about pregame things to do, anywhere to go, tailagte or whatever? bringing stuff into the stadium - besides my flask?

    appreciate the responses.

I usually hit up the Humperdinks for pregame and use their shuttle as it was cheaper than paying for parking (at least as of last Sept it was). If you want shade early, the first base side is the way to go. If the breeze is down, be prepared to just bake and be miserable, even in the shade. My personal rule is to avoid any and all games there between June and September as its hell on earth there.
