Give it time. One of the announcers is gonna put it on there by accident.

My 6th grade teacher could not pronounce words that ended in A, they all ended with a hard R.  Korea sounded like career, India sounded like endear, one of the girls in the class named Jenna  got called Jenner all year.  She also spent a good amount of time throughout the year talking about race, racism, diversity and acceptance as a black teacher in an all white school.   Having Noah in her class might have actually broken her.

Wait so we need to create an equal playing field with NIL? Now that Texas is legally paying players it needs to be equal? Fuck that shit you fucking cheaters and now whiny titty babies.

Poor Bama, Clemson, Aggie, LSU, etc. really want everyone on a fair, level playing field with a standardized NIL so they can get back to focusing on their established bag games.

Spoken like a true non-Texan.   Do most Texans think it’s a better place to live than the Mississippi delta or Alabama?   Well, sure.

but damn, a place where Dixieland & confederate flags are revered, and old times they are not forgotten calling Texans hillbillies and racists is rich.

Because it is volleyball. I get this boards desire to be woke. But don't do it in exchange for being smart. He has the pancake factory at minimum and drives a Lambo. Are you fucking stupid? There is literally negative money in women's sports.

Actually the top VB players are making more each year than you are.

Jerrett Elliott has been helping them with investment strategies, there’s real money going towards the VB team.

the guy did not use AD as a ladder, and that is never a PI. he never pushed down on AD to boost himself, he simply had a better angle to make the play. the UW DB was breaking on the ball while AD was still turning his hips to adjust to the bad throw. UW guy simply ran downhill and jumped over AD who was scrambling to get his body into position to try and make a play.

    screen shots:

the ball is in the air and the UW DB is breaking on it, while AD is scrambling to turn his body around. that’s why the UW guy won the jump ball, not because of any PI.

What happened on the wide side?  By my count there’s only 1 DB over there with Worthy and Whittington.   They guy floating after Whittington stayed in the middle with 3 defenders in the middle covering Sanders and Blue.   6 on the line and 1 on Mitchell.
2 of our best receivers with 1 guy covering to the wide side seems like the mismatch we wanted

I'm blaming myself because I wore my favorite Texas cap to watch the game. I haven't worn it all year and in previous years, it was bad luck and cost us games. But I thought the curse was broken and I wanted to wear it more so I gambled and put it on. Now, I plan on burning it.

I get it, but I think it was on me.  I wore the same shirt for every game except OU.  Half time of that game I caught a snap and changed, but it was too late.

Yesterday I had a lot of shit going on and didn’t realize I was not dressed appropriately until late in the 2nd.   Needless to say, at that point I knew what to expect, a heart breaking end to a close near win.

    I’ll do better next season.

And scotch.  The 53 year old stuff and plenty of it.   Still drinking in fact.

Doesn’t matter how much you pay the players the nfl future stars aren’t playing in a game that do not matter. Going to 12 teams helps next year eliminate a lot of these games being star less.

I grew up watching bowl games and I will always love the bowl season.   Holidays, family drama, booze, and lots of food.  And lots of football.  New Year’s Day was the day every team with any stake in a MNC had their chance to show out,  questions and controversy abound.

Things change and the old bowl system is now defunct, we can keep the major ones as tie ins to the 11 meaningful game playoffs, but the rest don’t have much of a future.   I will miss the old bowl system as flawed as it was, but I sure as shit won’t miss a growing number of games like tonight.   Playoffs will give us more, better football to end the season so here to change.

Wonder if aggy will ever realize that their "practice squad" from this game will be the bulk of their roster next year.

They seem to think there’s another roster returning next year.  You know, like all the Missouri valley and Midwest/rustbelt players they have been stacking.

There’s little doubt they will find some improvement over what they showed tonight among the incoming transfers, it would be hard not to.  They really just need help at QB, OL, DB, LB, TE, and receiver.   Add a little more depth at DL and they should be set.

Coaching might improve but that’s still a big ? As the staff has yet to be assembled.   At this point the best they can hope for 2024 is to be competitive in most of their games as next years schedule is the easiest they will have for the foreseeable future.

Ooo this is my actual job, and I disagree.

Southwest Texas State has great nostalgia and history for people who've heard of it before, but for students/staff who moved into Texas, families who hadn't looked at college before, or OOS students/staff it sounds like a community college in El Paso.

They needed a name to reflect that a) they're a serious 4-year institution and b) they're not actually in Southwest Texas. Anyone around the country knows "____ State" is probably one of the bigger colleges within that state. And it keeps most of the old name.

tl;dr if you'd already heard of SWT, the name change wasn't really for you.

Plus to outsiders it makes them sound like our little brother, similar to Michigan St, Miss St, Oregon St, Washington St, Mobliehome St, etc.

And…demotes A&M to the podunk ag school of Texas, the reality they have been desperately trying to change for years.

I mean, they claim the A&M no longer stands for what it stands for, despite the constant bragging about the engineering dept, the hall of champions being full of meat judging trophies, plus multiple courses in chicken farming & other forms of animal husbandry.   You know, agricultural and mechanical focused studies.

I absolutely made a point. My point was that the SEC was going. That was my argument. Whether it's wrong or not is not the point I'm making now. The point I'm making now is I wasn't crowing for Georgia in and Texas out like the face painter was going on about.

I agree they almost certainly wouldn’t leave the SEC out,  but if UGA won the committee wasn’t bumping FSU for us.   It would have been real clean at that point to just take the 4 undefeated, plus our biggest win would have taken a serious hit.  We needed the 1 loss door opened one one of the 3 games beside PAC, and a UGA win took 1/3 of our paths away 100% of the time.

It's almost like the committee changed their criteria and have specifically referenced H2H for weeks.

You should definitely be banned tomorrow if Texas gets in.

I think the deal should be…. If we get in, Imma bans him for being wrong and mucking up the thread

But if Bama gets in instead of us, everyone who said UT gets in negs him to Bolivia for being right and mucking up the thread
