I guess it's time for my contribution to this topic.
Having my first ever surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff suffered about 3 weeks ago. Got to 65 without ever needing cut on but my luck finally ran out.
No golf until at least mid-summer depending on rehab.

My cousin was ripping a sheet of plywood on a table saw. The board popped up and he instinctively pushed it down. Blade caught his hand and split one finger pretty much down the middle and it’s up the another. It was pretty gnarly after the surgery. I plan on getting a SawStop for the same reason. I’ll never be able to justify it use wise, but I like to use my hands to beat off.I never rip plywood on my table saw anymore, it's just to dangerous.
Track saw is the way to go now when ripping sheet goods.

Going to try a ham for T-Day on my Rec-Teq. Searching online recipes/processes seem all over the place.
Was thinking of smoking a uncooked ham and doing the brine.
Would welcome any advice from those who have done this before.

Has Les Miles been mentioned yet?

How long ago was that? Neighbors have made the switch and the same shops around here are charging more now.
A couple of months ago. I bought the conversion kit online and did it myself.

I need details on what it took to switch. I am on the back end of my batteries and need to make the change.
Wasn't that hard.
Had to cut out dividers in the battery tub on one side so the new battery would sit flush. Had to remove the On-board computer and connect a couple of wires together. Had to replace the charging receptacle and run the battery gauge cable to the dash and mount the gauge.
All in all, it took me about 4 hours. There are several you tube videos on how to do it.

All in with battery, charger, and 48V converter it was $2300. Since I plan on keeping the cart for a long while and lead acid batteries only last 5 years it was worth it to me. Lithium should last me 10-12 years.
Other benefits are that you can charge the battery at any level. You can turn the battery off when not in use. You can charge it anywhere as long as you have access to 110V. The gauge tells you how much battery you have left (analog gauges are wonky IMO).
Most important it gives my wife peace of mind hauling my grandkids around knowing that the batteries won't go dead.

Need recs for rear seat kits for Club Car Precedent. What do you have?
Also, changed battery to ECO lithium a couple of months ago and will never go back to lead acid.

Two abortion-rights activists derail a DeSantis campaign stop by calling him "Ron DeFascist" and "pudding fingers" over a megaphone. Not quite sure what "pudding fingers" means but I like it!

Sounds like the protestors were just exercising their 1A freedoms. Why does Meatball hate the 1A?

Watched it last night with the wife. When Luicci came on she asked "Who is that?".
I responded "That's chin pubes".
She responded "I see and chuckled".

Still have a full set on "non conforming" eye-2's upstairs in the attic. I actually met Karsten once during a tour of Ping plant in 90's. He asked if anyone was an engineer and I raised my hand since I was. Can't remember what we talked about but spent about 5 minutes chatting on the floor.
I still have a full set of Ping Eyes and Eye 2's. I used to own a set of the Copper but traded them away, however, I kept the copper SW and still use it to this day.

Another year of disappointment. I may never get to go.
Thank you for your 2024 ticket application. We have now completed the selection process for available tickets to the Masters Tournament, Augusta National Women's Amateur, and Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals. Unfortunately, your entry was not selected this year.

Home Depot sells tampons now?

My father gave my brother and I haircuts when we were growing up. He used the same trimmers on us that he used to trim our horses manes and tails.
His specialty was buzz cuts and the occasional flat top. I don't remember him ever cleaning the trimmer before or after use.
Haven't let a male barber touch my head since then. Only female barbers for me until I die.

Had GC I have used previously come out this morning and inspect roof for hail damage. Never got on the roof but tells me it needs replaced.
Can you really tell it needs replaced without getting up there? We did get some golf ball size hail last week but from my untrained eye the roof looks ok.

My son searches river and creek beds for arrowheads, he's found several hundred. He's quite good at finding them.
Built this for him to store and show off some of his better ones.
Made it with cherry wood and inlayed bocote wood on the top and made the drawer pulls from bocote as well.
The top section has a removable tray.

What's the verdict on the Recteq 590? Is the 590 large enough for most cooks, how's the build and cook quality? Been looking at several different manufacturers, but am drawn to the Rec Teq. Need to purchase something shortly.
Smoked 3 racks of baby back ribs on Sunday and they turned out ok. probably should have just smoked 2 racks as the drip pan doesn't span entirely below the racks.
There was some grease dripping into the smoker shell that will need to be cleaned out as I don't want a grease fire at higher temps.
One thing I did not consider was the 590 does not have a pellet dump feature. Probably not that big of a deal anyway.
Other than that, everything looks good. Hopefully I can get to a brisket over Memorial weekend.

Recteq 590 delivered yesterday. Can't wait to join the club.

SRV's 'Couldn't Stand The Weather' on vinyl when it came out in 1984, then tools. I started working in car stereo stores when I was 16 in 1986, and had to supply my own tools. Started out with shitty Western Auto stuff, then discovered the Snap On truck. Should have most of them paid off pretty soon.
My Snap On tool box purchased in 1981 gets daily usage. "I own the best so please don't ask to borrow" sticker is still on it.
And yes, it took awhile to pay it off.

Wasp and Hornet spray is not as effective as it once was.
I remember spraying wasps and they would die instantly. Now I spray them and they wiggle around until they die.
Either the spray has changed or there is a new killer wasp invading my house.
