I guess I’m on the outside, but I believe Riley will clean house at SC.
He will be back in the playoffs in less than two years. His scheme with Southern California talent is going to be a good match.
Yes I'm with you

If you have millions in the bank, Southern California or anywhere in Oklahoma, why would anyone choose Oklahoma?

So Baylor says they’re 2-0 against the SEC this year.

It seems Tech has interviewed Dykes, not sure if Dykes to TCU is a done deal yet.

If Franklin gets the USC job then I’d be shocked if Luke Fickell doesn’t replace him at PSU.
Maybe but I think Campbell is a better Penn S fit.

Surprised to see Baylor at 35 and Tech at 37.

Any school that isn’t openly paying players is falling way behind. Kavanaughs opinion basically says NCAA will lose the case if they try to impose payment limitations.
Totally correct but the NCAA probably needs to go thru the motions.

Baylor hires Nicki Collen
The WNBA coach? That doesn’t seem like a good fit.

Seems odd -- any explanation for leaving and then coming back??
Needed to pee really bad.

Why would a Church of Christ school be considered the "little bro" of a Disciple of Christ school? TCU isn't nearly as close to be a "Church" school as ACU.

Everytime new recruits are signed, I think this is the last piece of the puzzle and we’re going to quit looking up at Kansas and now Baylor.

KU is going to have to overpay some 26 year old offensive whiz kid who can maybe scheme them to a couple of wins without killing his own career. They did the retread deal and it didn't work. What a dumpster fire.
Probably but there’s G5 guys out there that aren’t making P5 money and would give it a shot. KU doesn’t need a proven coach to come in and win the Big12, they need a guy to come in and 3-4 games and be competitive in another 5 games. Baylor’s roster was worse than KU’s when Matt Rhule shows up out of oblivion and in three years wins 11 games. It can happen.

I'd resign if I were Wells in that scenario, being told who to hire as my OC.
Using Yost as a scapegoat is one thing, but being micromanaged to that degree is unacceptable. He'll always be looking over his shoulder. Bad situation, unless it was Wells idea to hire Briles.
I don't think Wells would resign over being told who was going to be OC because this is Wells last chance to coach at the P5 level.

I don't think Tech wants to have anything to do with Art. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it. The bad PR will be there even if he's just the OC, so if they were thinking at all of him being our head coach, it seems to me they'd have just done it now.
If Saban hired Briles as OC, there would be little if any media stink. But I don’t Tech can get away with it.

Please no...
To your point, there is a significant band of supporters on Tech pages/ boards. Not sure if it's just a massive troll to see how riled up folks might get or if people sincerely want to prove the program is not yet at rock bottom.
If they hire Art Briles, I'm out on Tech Football. Seems easy to say, given the current results, but I've supported them since the Jerry Moore years. If they'll do business with trash like Briles, that would indeed be the final straw.
Yes but if they hire Briles for OC, there’s a decent chance Tech is playing in next years conference championship game. Say whatever you want but winning changes the way people look at think.

You know another place where Kevin Steele coached besides Auburn?
Baylor
You know who else coached at Baylor?
Art Briles
Following the natural progression, it’s clear that CAB ends up at Auburn. I hear a bunch of big money War Eagle boosters are gonna make it happenDoubtful but if Briles were to surface at Auburn, I would definitely watch the aTm vs Auburn game. Besides, I thought Briles and Tech was a done deal.

If Herman’s future hinges on upcoming game(s) and not his existing record then we have a bigger problem.

For real. I still have no idea how we out-recruit them no matter how many Big XII titles they get. It's truly a mystery.
I used to think that it was a Mack Brown thing, now not so much.

I’m not saying we should hire Kingsbury but it would be interesting to see what he could do when he doesn’t have to recruit to the panhandle badlands.

If Herm wins out including crappy bowl game, it may give CDC enough cover to not fire and wait one more year to save huge $.
We have money or CDC should be fired.

So what happens when Big 12 games can't be made up? After bedlam and farmagedon this weekend, the only games left among the top 5 teams are UT-ISU and UT-KSU. What if one of those teams gets the rona and the games can't be made up? How do you compare teams when the round robin did not occur?

The big12 and Baylor set the precedent here, you just do a lot of internal investigations, fire the HC, and pretend like nothing ever happened
Baylor also fired their President and AD, plus they still haven’t received all that money the Big12 withheld from the payouts. LSU has a long way to go to match what the Big12 and Baylor did.

I think the Big12 will be happy to pick up some scraps from the Pac12 and when the smoke starts clearing may be a fun college football conference. They will definitely be a step below the SEC/B1G but a pretty interesting conference for viewers.
