This is 2020 so I am going with the worst possible scenario I can think of since that seems to be the theme this year with everything in life.  That means Kevin Sumlin will be our new head coach.  Wait, is RC Slocum still alive?  If so, maybe we hire him.

Grant Teaff is still alive too but......jeebus man you need some real coke.

Am I the only one here who thinks Mike Leach is a bit of a piece of shit? For every incredible, off-the-wall quote he drops in an interview, there's a few of him deflecting blame for his shortcomings and throwing his own players under buses. We love him so much when he's CFB's weird uncle talking about pirates, sasquatch, and aliens, so he gets off easy for being a terrible human being the other 90% of the time.

Mike Leach is awesome and the world is a better place with him in it. I don't see any difference in his character flaws and those that all major college football coaches have. Name 10 successful P5 coaches that meet your criteria of not being a piece of shit.

The Big 12 is going to be horrendous this season. KU, KSU, TTU and ISU have all been confirmed to be trash. If Herman doesn't win this dumpster fire of a conference with the team he has this season it'll be embarrassing. Outside of Texas, OU and Okie St nobody is going to be any good. Baylor is breaking in a new coaching staff along with 9 new starters on defense and TCU isn't going to win much without a QB.

I wouldn't automatically discount both TCU and Baylor until we see them play. Baylor was an unranked team last year at this time and they won 11 games. Just saying....

  4. I sort of understood the top talent guys opting out of bowl games if they had even a little history of injuries. However, my mind does not successfully calculate the idea of opting out of a season. Even if the season is a shit-show Covid season. It seems to me that opting out is a way for someone else to have an outstanding year and pass you up in the NFL draft.

Hey if BU hadn't hired Pepper Hamilton then we would've got off without any serious problems. If you think BU has too much pull with Waco PD and McLennan County then imagine LSU with Baton Rouge PD and the entire state of Louisiana.

I don't think LSU is going hire an outside liberal law firm like Pepper Hamilton to come and investigate their sexual assault issues. Where are those Tracy people demanding people be fired?

  6. We know a couple things. If the fall season is played or at least attempted then there will be some amount of Covid spread. The results might be nothing, severe long term issues, possible deaths, and lawsuits. Not having a season is filled with numerous unknowns. Some number of schools have athletic departments that will never recover and I don't mean just the little guys. The already declining attendance may accelerate at an alarming rate further causing damage too school financials. It's not pretty either way. I say start the season and be flexible. If the season has to be cancelled on September xx, then so be it but let's give it a chance.
