Will this show be renewed or canceled?
The ratings have been quite low, so it's not looking good. It currently ranks 14th (out of 19) in the 18-49 demo for NBC's prime-time scripted shows. No official word yet, but I'd be willing to bet it's one-and-done. Would be a shame, though. It certainly has potential.

Losing TWO in a row?!? WTF is this shit?
(This is when the wheels fall off...)
-
Well... can’t say it was against a weak offense. Helluva performance tonight. Hats off to Sean Manaea.

Dead serious- does that shit actually do anything for you? Paperboi’s character growth makes this show enjoyable to you? That’s something doesn’t resonante with me in this case.
I’d rather laugh for half an hour than watch Paperboi grow, especially if he’s only going to be a marginal character so often.
Major bummer of a season.
The character’s name is Alfred (or Al). “Paper Boi” is just his persona/stage name, and much of this season (and the last episode) is him trying to navigate that dichotomy. I loved the drive-thru scene a few episodes back... extra fries... That’s just a microcosm of this season in general (if that’s at all possible).
Quick aside: I *highly* recommend the NPR Fresh Air interview with the actor who plays Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry). Helps appreciate his character even more, I believe. The dude went to Yale School of Drama & has a theater background.

Sure, there’s less of an overall story arc this season, but Donald Glover obviously wants to experiment a bit. Hats off to FX for letting him do it.
I’m sure Donald Glover is a busy guy & it initially striked me as odd that “his” show would feature multiple episodes without him in it at all (or just a bit part), but I think this show is better appreciated when you realize it’s unlike any other show on television, ever.
A few episodes of this season lagged, but it’s still unquestionably one of the better shows on tv today. And I’m not the only one who agrees.

I really like this show. As a teacher, it hits (somewhat) close to home. I’ve used the, “Okay, everybody shut your mouths” line to start the day quite a few times.
The actors who play the students are fantastic, as is Patton Oswalt as the principal
Not anything revolutionary, but each episode is worth a few guaranteed laughs.

The Sox already have five grand slams this year.
They had only three in all of 2017.
Correction: they had ZERO in 2017.
I like this team better already.

The Red Sox have 116 runs this season.
The Indians have 116 hits.

He’s out! (Finally)
One helluva run, though...

Not getting ahead of myself or anything... but the Red Sox might be good this year.
And Mookie definitely is good.

Went from “Sho-time” to “uh-oh time” in no time... AMIRITE?!?

Sad there's no game on Patriots Day. First time since 1995. Hopefully they keep it going tomorrow in Anaheim... (game is on MLBN out of market, btw).

Fuck. I haz a sad.

Porcello may get a no-hitter
Edit: Nm. Rain’s not going to last all night.
He surprisingly came back out after the nearly hour-long delay... and gave up a double to Jurdge to lead off the 7th.

The rivalry ain’t dead by a damn sight.

So... David Price didn’t look good tonight. Leave it to the MFYs to get him to revert back to his “old, but not old-old” ways.
Initial rumors say blisters are the culprit.

Osetkowski seems to be happy...

The Yankees, to put it kindly, are getting skullfucked
The Red Sox look great so far... but let's pump the brakes until we see them face a contender.

Yankees suck. Literally.

That's an awesome Scherzer stat... but if I was the Nats owner, I would've had an infarction seeing my 210,000,000-dollar pitcher run the bases like that.

Dr. David Chao:
”10-14 days would be the absolute best case scenario for any fracture of the talus. I hope this optimism is realized and not just a precursor of 60 day disabled list.”
Fuck.

Xander to the DL, out 10-14 games. A “non-displaced crack” in his ankle... whatever that means.
It could be worse, obviously.
-
Holy shit... saw it was 7-2 and stopped following the game. What a helluva 8th inning!
Finally playing a non-Floridian team on Tuesday. Apparently they're slightly better than the Rays and Marlins.

Mookie Betts is good at baseball.
More importantly... won the series in Toronto, back home for two series vs the Rays & the Royals.
Xander returns to the lineup tonight, and not a moment too soon -- Brock will have to sit out a few for a minor hamstring issue.
Let's keep this party going. 19-5, with a 4 game lead in the East. April has been a fun month.
