You listen to the tee box and just noticed that?
Time to get back on the wagon
Nah, I've been noticing it for years, but just tolerate it
Last week I was probably just in a surly mood, so felt the need together it off my chest
I have a few misophonia issues 😠

The Tee Box is becoming unlistenable
Been listening to this show for years, but the clarity of their lip smacking and gum smacking is f'ing maddening........as well as Rosengarden's over laughing

Can’t believe I haven’t seen sweatshirts mentioned yet…….but likely overlooked it twice
Would LOVE those…..hope they’ll come in gray with burnt orange emblem - but hell, I’d buy whatever

Tarzan screaming at the end of weight loss spots
Given that the Tarzan scream is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary......I still giggle every time I hear it 😆

I have seen all my teams win a title now except Longhorns basketball. Been close a few years with some deep runs. No idea when or if that one will ever happen. Would be really cool if it ever does.
Longhorns football is the best it has been since the end of the Mack Brown era of the 2000s. We have a good shot in the next years, including this year. Rangers now have a good future ahead of it for the next half decade. Stars looking very good. Finally some good around here for my teams.
Man, I pretty much said the very same thing to everyone I care to speak to
Texas basketball is the only one still out there lingering around......but it WILL happen in due time (hopefully while I'm still alive)

It seems that replacing the elliptical with something would be the only change? What’s wrong with the current workout? I just quit running due to stress fractures in the foot and psoas muscle discomfort.
Thank you…….I’ve always felt that I’ve been doing pretty damn good for a number of years.
Reckon I was just seeking verification from others that I’m doing OK

Very long time daily reader, but very rare poster
Figured I’d add a little to this thread, and apologize for length of post
Little boring history:
- fixing to turn 60
- 5’8, 162 lbs
- non-smoker but having trouble stopping dipping
- former quite heavy drinker, stopped cold in Jan 2014 due to pretty f’ing bad seizure (4 months rehab) - turns out had a few untreated minor ones before big one
- Prior surgeries: left ankle x2, left knee scope, fake left hip, fake right hip, right knee full blown, right leg open fracture tibia and fibula, right wrist/right elbow, and right shoulder that I refuse surgery on
Been truly exercising for 30+/- years
- Exercise: used to run, but had to give it up after hips…..and told to get treadmill and start strenuous walking…..did that for 20 years but recently had to stop and move to elliptical
- Daily mornings during work week: 40 woodchops, 2 sets per side of straight side planks, 300 crunches, 35 mins on elliptical
- Every night: 30 mins of flexibility/stretching exercises
No soreness
I admit that I exercise mainly because I don’t want to be a fat-ass, but also because I’d guilt myself to death if I didn’t or if I even skipped a session
Other than the woodchops, I can’t do much with weights (shoulder and elbow); however, I’d appreciate any feedback / suggestions about where I can improve on the aerobic side of things

Not sure if anyone heard one of the weekend shows replay the firework blast at Globe Life Park on Thur or Sat
It was hilarious how loud it was inside the stadium……sounded like a bomb blast.
I’m too stupid to find a replay, but if a smart person can find it, please post it.

I very rarely complain about much, but when I have, it's amazing how quickly issues can be resolved by simply contacting (whichever is applicable):
your city council rep, your state house rep, your state senate rep, your US House rep, or your US Senate rep
They seem to be able to get any government agency to get shit fixed, especially when you've already first tried to work with the particular agency.
The only time this failed for me was dealing with a county commissioner - living in an unincorporated area does have a downside.

Wee-bit of a biased opinion here.......but I think he would be a wonderful fit with the Cowboys

I’d agree Vic but DFW has about 10000 more interstate miles than Fargo so it’s different here. Right lane is dealing with exiters and on ramps, Middle is mostly 55-60, I got about 65 so that’s why I camp in the left lane usually. From one end of town to the other is 15-20 miles so it’s much smaller than most metros that’ll have 8+ lanes
DFW left lane camper too, as long as I'm consistently passing a slew of slow movers
However I'm a very courteous, sensible left lane camper
If I see a vehicle in rearview, who's obviously going faster than me, I move over well in advance and allow them to pass.......then move back to the left and carry-on
Too many slow driving dicks playing left lane cops here in FW

I’d like someone who has time to do a deep dive into these advertisers on the ticket. Especially the ones with endorsements by hosts.
How many are BBB nightmares. Shitballs to their customers? Ripoff artists? Every host has a sewer problem, a favorite whiskey, and foundation problems. I bet most of these companies are crooks.During the first few years, the station used to hold their advertisers accountable.
I had 2 instances where I called the station to let them know the companies did crappy work - and within a day or two the company contacted me to fix the problem.
However now, I wouldn’t expect that the station would do a damn thing.

A lot of radio is done this way, has been for years. Larry North did this long ago. Buy a couple of hours on Saturday morning for cheap, go sell spots on my own for a profit, and use whatever if it to promote myself for free. Works great if you can be the talent. Thanks for the education
I always knew paid programming existed, but thought they had to run disclaimers here and there during the show
Used to listen to Larry North on KLIF

That was paid programming as far as I know?
5 hours ago, RPM said:Pretty sure that was a paid program and the docs didn't renew.
Due to the docs being local, that never dawned on me
Thanks.....now I'm less pissed at the station \,,/

Disappointing that they're cancelling the Saturday morning show Inside Sports Medicine (7a-8a)
Lots of good inside info.....typical of The Ticket to cancel shows that aren't just grab-ass drops and jokes.

True Day 1, P1.......so feel qualified for opinion
Never found the Saturday Sirois show to be entertaining in the least
Donny carried Sirois on Norm show
Doctor show on Saturday should be 3 hours, and Tee Box should be 3 hours.....then let newbies finish the day
Sirois(x2) leaving was a good thing
Sorry, feel free to blast me

What did February 16th look like?
Anyways, Texas summers are just Texas summers. We know it is coming. Go to the river, drink beer, etc. It only really sucks in my view in September when the shit just won't end.
Totally agree.....
But, I do wish that during the duration of football season it should always be cloudy and 60

Colonoscopy
in Lulz
Will have my 5th colonoscopy this year (58 yoa, first one I was 44).....back then they routinely weren't recommended until you were 50'ish.
My doc started mine earlier, due to my dad's history (colorectal, ignored symptoms, ended up with radiation/surgery/colostomy, survived another 20 years until it caught back up and did him in).
They moved me up to every 3 years once I turned 50.
Everybody, trust me, get this done....don't let it kill you due to ignorance.
Pre-procedures aren't that bad.....and on the bright side, you at least feel like you've lost 10 pounds. And from what I've been told, if you get the procedures done when you're supposed to, anything they catch can be fixed, before it gets to my dads point. \,,/

New St. Augustine Lawn, Broadleaf Problem
in Can You Help Me With This?
Posted
That's a real shit move by your neighbor.........planting a tree which will ultimately effect their neighbors lawn, without discussing with the neighbor beforehand.
You could gently hammer some copper nails into the base of that tree in the eyes of darkness.......that'll remedy your situation in due time.
