  1. I ran into a lot of these same fucking glitches today.....seems to happen about once a week.  And yes, you’re really double fucked if you’re watching something you’ve recorded.

I’ve been Directv customer for maybe 20+ years, but I’m about at the threshold of changing.  Unfortunately, I’m stupid, so I’ll have to have my teenage kids educate me on my options.

    Damn

My wife farted in her sleep a few nights ago.  Been married to her for 17 years, I've known/dated/been married to her over half my life and that's the first time I've ever heard her blow one out.  Bless her heart for hiding it that long but damn right I was fanning the covers.  Had it in my mind that girl farts smell like cinnamon and world peace but that one just smelled like a pulled pork fart.  Still proud of her though even if she has no idea, pretty impressive fart.

Purely great story, to end a miserable football day!!

    😆

  3. I love this thread!!

After Maryland game, I started to worry if maybe my apathy could be due to me being an old, being a Horn and Cowboy fan, plus years of losing and disappointment.

But after my gut laughs from some of these posts, I see that others suffer too.....makes me feel better about my own sports misery.

    A decade of this.

I’m a pessimistic fan anyway, so at least I’m always prepared to be disappointed.

4 decades ago, I woke up on Saturdays, excited about the game, and ready to brag to my friends all week.

Now, I’m just glad that that most of my employees are female, so I can silently hide my shame.

I attended this same high school about ten years later.

There are very few schools that can pull off what this one did/does in terms of ethnic and class diversity, as well as high-caliber academics. The kids ran the gamut from elite families in the most exclusive neighborhoods, to the projects. And everyone seemed to get along. It was amazing.

But the athletics -- they were horrible. Except for golf. It helps to have kids who grew up playing on a PGA course.

    Cool, and you’re exactly right.

In 1980 or 1981, 3 TCU/Tanglewood kids got in trouble (firearms in lockers, planned to poison school via a/c system).....Legion of Doom was 3 years after I graduated.

But pretty much, everyone got along.

Wish my kids had gone to Paschal, but since it’s 2 daughters, I took the easy way and moved to Aledo :)

    What is 30/29/30?

Winter is -10/-12/-8 (and that's not windchills); but then this summer has been in the low 90's so we're good

I did do a bad job of writing there :)

What I meant was, I’ll take highs of 108/109/108, anyday, rather than highs of 30/29/30.....over 3 days.

    Cold weather sux

Somebody isn’t a native born Texan.

    :)

Indeed I am, but, after 54 years, I’ve met many “transplants” that are a helluva lot better Texans, than the trashy “natives” that we run across daily.

Bragging about being a native born U.S. Citizen always seemed like a curious thing to take credit for to me.  I'm glad I was born here, but I didn't really have much to do with it.

You summed up the way I feel about dipshits that boast that they’re a  “Native Born Texan”

No one, other than that dumbass, gives a shit that he/she was born here.
